dood. If I pay you, will you post a new gif on every page of the GGT?

and I thought possum had taste. FF12? Really?

Everyone knows the best Final Fantasy is Final Fantasy Tactics.

hell yeah. I like managing stuff in real time. XII is super addicting.

Story-wise, I don't know what the fuck is going on it though lol

I have Ace Combat 6. I need to finish the campaign on normal.

Also very tempted to grab one of those Haruhi planes from the marketplace. :p
I wish those bastards who bought radiohead tickets and put them up on ebay would burn in hell.

fuck you buying 2 tickets and reselling them for 500 dollars.

Burn in hell assholes.
Sheesh. What were the face value on them?

I guess I'll count my lucky stars that I was able to get Bon Jovi tickets for just a $25/ticket premium a week and a 1/2 before the show.

If every nation didnt sound exactly the fucking same and/or ruled by men with long hair I might be able to make sense of what the hell is going on.

60 dollars.

I paid 80 dollars for the Van Halen tickets I have thats next week.

My first FF was FF1 also! I had no idea what was going on though. If it weren't for that good ol' Nintendo Power strategy guide I probably wouldn't play RPGs anymore. I think it still holds up well, although I personally prefer the redid Wonderswan Color version than the newer rebalanced one that has a Thief that's actually useful and mages with MP.

FF4 was the big one for me. SNES graphics were crazy! I think I was too young to understand FF6 though.

And when I was a kid I thought FF7 looked ugly. I hated the graphics... I still do. But Golden Saucer was so fun. I never thought the story was worthy of all the analysis I gets, given the poor ending and the strange bugs, like the one outside of the Golden Bee inn...

The next one I liked was FF10. That game was fun, I liked the story too.

I'm a bigger DQ fan than an FF fan now. They're almost all good, and I say almost, because I hate DQ2 with a passion, and DQ7 has a great story but ugly graphics and dated fetch and find gameplay. But 3-6 and 8 are like the pinnacle of RPGing for me. I remember hearing rumors of DQ4 and 5 remixed, coming stateside, and if that's true then I'm gonna be ecstatic.

Speaking of concerts, I'm trying to get some Kanye tickets... $60 for Mezzanine, wow... =O

Man, so the same fuckin' kid who bought NHL 08 for 60 and sold it for 40, and then opted for Burnout over DMC4 was like "why are you gettin' lost odyssey... it got bad reviews like 8s."

I'd cry for him, but I'm not gay.
That kid also love halo?

You should have punched him in the throat.
Yeah, he keeps goin' on about how Halo's got soooo much depth to it, yet it's accessible, like he knows what depth even means in a game context. Then again, he's also albino and has horrible vision, so whatever.

Yes! I also played FF1 with the strat guide at my side the whole time. A friend and I actually read ahead and picked out all the gear we were going to buy and which treasure chests were worth picking up

FFVII blew my mind when I played the demo-- the Leviathan summon was just miles ahead of anything I'd ever seen in any game up to that point. The full game didn't disappoint. but I hate even mentioning the game, now that it attracts such a huge fuss.

Even I have enough of a conscience to see that that's a bad idea. But yeah, he still asks me questions about games and then tries to refute whatever I say, so it's cool, sometimes, if he's in the hall, standing off to the side and turning around is enough to keep him from recognizing me.

FTW!

I cannot wait for DQ 4 DS to hit the states. It is my most anticipated game this year.

In the meantime, I shall content myself with these Japanese comercials...

That ain't a bad idea. You are Chacrana you do whatever the hell you want.

I know people like that.

My Nephew is one of them.

He plays everything that is Tom Clancy and loves it.

He told me Ass Creed was GOTY.

Needlees to say that kid was promptly punched in the kidney.

Naw, this wannabe talks up a game for months and then doesn't buy it. That's more annoying than someone saying AC is GOTY.

Kid also just comes in my house and takes my damn games without telling me.

Last week he took my old video card, RAM, and CPU that I had lying around.

He has taken games that I have not even opened yet, takes them home opens them and then plays them.

One time the bastard took like 20 of my games and traded them into Gamestop so he could buy some new games.

Needless to say I beat his ass down...alot.
First FF game I played -- FF1 on the NES.

Favorite FF game -- XII

what, I'm serious!
The point of a correlation study is to ignore outliers ;)

My first was also FF1, but my favorite remains FFVI. I don't like any of them as much as I did, but I was able to get myself to replay VI on GBA even though I knew the entire progression of events by heart, whereas I couldn't really get myself to push through to the end of IV on GBA, which is my second favorite. Thought VII was epic, but I only played it through once, whereas VI was played about a dozen times.

Speaking of concerts, I'm trying to get some Kanye tickets... $60 for Mezzanine, wow... =O
I actually thought FFVII looked quite impressive at the time and I was amazed at the graphics, especially for a PS1 game (The only PS1 traditional RPG to have some 3D graphics before FFVII was Wild Arms, and FFVII is a big jump compared to that game). I actually really liked just about everything about FFVII, except the translation.

Although in my case, I like the DQ series, but no where near as much as FF. I thought DQ was better than FF on NES personally. The DQ game that got me into the series more was the 8th (I wasn't too big of a fan of the previous ones except 4 and 6 to an extent). As for FFI though, it's my least favorite FF game (2nd one I ever played). My problem is that I'm not a fan of character creation and since I got use to a story level around FFIV, it's just really hard for me to play it (I got it on NES, GBA, and PS1 too). FFII was a bit better (NES one), but the skill increasing wasn't too balanced IMO (I like the way it works in SaGa games though).

Uh, looks like I won't be playing many games because I just realized some homework due by Monday I kind of forgot about. Although I feel like playing some PSP tonight, so that may be what I do.

I have been playing Civ.4

Then some friends stopped by for 2 hours, 2 of us played a little PGR 3 and then some Tony Hawk 8. We got 10 achievement points.

By other friend just played CS:S

My first RPGs were Dragon Warrior I and II. I didn't play my first Final Fantasy until SNES US II.

I don't know bout ya'll, but I love me some slimes.

I thought FFVII was great. It may be a little overrated, but I enjoyed it. One of the few RPG's I've actually beaten. I do like FFXII more though just for the fact it's not turn based....then again I haven't even beaten that yet and I've had it since release

Lost Odyssey lust is rising. I will play FF8 and Oblivion until it subsides.. Need to finish Brue Dragon first, too.

But damn does that game look good.

FFIV>every other FF by far. FFIV is so far ahead of them it's ridiculous.

Oh and Lost Odyssey is good. My only complaint so far is that the bosses are at an insanely harder difficulty than the rest of the enemies. I don't mind difficulty, but it's odd when you can kill the normal enemies with your eyes closed only to almost get wiped out in one turn by the boss. I don't care which one they pick, easy or hard, just get some consistency.

This. And I also agree with Inu about tactics being the best SRPG.

that shit is awesome.

I am highly disappointed in my fortune from my cookie.
Its some sappy ass love poem.
I was expecting something of epic proportions and yet I am left with:

Said You Know I love you baby
My Love for you I could never hide
OH, When I feel, You Near Me,
I Know you are my one desire.

blah blah blah.

I hate shit like this.

I hate valentines day, its a ploy from greeting card and flower companies to make money.

fuck That.

Tell me about it.

Its from my ex girlfriend.

I did better rhyming on the napkin I left that hot waitress.

Something like.

Roses are red
This pen is blue.
I like you
I want to screw you till you scream.

A friend told me today this and it entirely makes sense and I have to agree:

For valentines day...

Girls get presents
Guys get pussy

at least hopefully they get pussy...

It does not have to be Valentines Day to get Pussy, just throw out that L word they love to hear, and those leg spread faster then.........well....ill leave that up to you.

I got a nice note from my GF today:

Dear Apossum,
I'm so glad we waited until today.
Tonight I'm gonna show you a secret that'll blow your mind.
Love,
Bridget

I wonder what the secret could be!!1

I just realized that Valentine's Day is going to greatly interfere with my NPD-watching tonight. My wife better appreciate my sacrifices.

I see what you did there!
Npd>all
I know. :whistle2:( Considering it's January, it shouldn't be as chaotic as the last few months, but that's asking too much. I will probably have to browse the 20 page thread on GAF after she goes to bed.

I think ill watch eternal sunshine of the spotless mind tonight.

Best Valentines Day movie ever.

Or I could grief people on COD.

WHAT SHALL I DO!

I'll be cooking eggplant for my vegetarian girlfriend tonight. Big day for the ol' relationship. Candle lit dinner at home, me cooking (a rare occurrence) and we signed our first lease together today. Big stuff.

(And I'll play DQM: Joker at some point just to balance my night.)
Gwen I posted the fortune up above.

It was some sappy love thing.
Oops, missed it. Totally dull, considering it's from an ex. I was expecting something like, "you didn't just eat the fortune cookie this came in did you?"

But I have to be honest, I read this, and all I can imagine is Coach McGuirk slouching around.
