I'll be talking about it plenty starting on Aug 6th. No reason to torture myself until then...
Shadowrun Returns is before then on the 25th anyways. Which is also the first big kickstarter game to have reached release. Here's to hoping that it blows everybody away in a good way.

Played some demos on my new 3DS XL. :bouncy:  Fire Emblem: Awakening is a must buy. I'm not feeling EO IV but I only played the demo once so I'll try it again. I kind of got thrown by the mapping system.  Also, do I have to play any of the other Kingdom Hearts games to understand Kingdom Hearts 3D?

I saw EO IV and I thought you were talking about EVO for SNES.

EVO was such a great game. Get that Stegosaurus back with the Triceratops horns!

I also thinking about restarting Persona 3 again. I played Persona 3 FES and didn't finish it. I have P3P on the vita. Is it different playing the female then the male character? I know the social links are different, that's about it.

The biggest difference is you can actually control you party members in battle, along them getting rid of the overworld scenes and instead replace it with visual novel type scenes.

Got my copy of SMT IV, then sent it back for a replacement because it was damaged. Seriously, why does Amazon ship all their first-press/limited edition 3DS games in padded envelopes instead of cardboard mailers or boxes?

Actually, I do know why: they're cheapskates. However, Amazon.co.jp has better packaging overall, and a UK friend tells me that Amazon there ships all games in cardboard. What's the deal, Amazon US?

Did you guys cycle through all characters for battles in FFX? Or did you just focus on leveling a select few? I'm getting a little OCD with this system, but running low on Ability Spheres in the process.

My SMT IV should arrive tomorrow from Amazon. Its shipping with some other stuff, so hopefully it won't be packaged in a silly envelope by a 4-year old or delivered with a mail carrier with hammers for hands.

I started to cycle thru, but about halfway thru I stopped doing it and just focused on plowing my way thru the game. Bad idea, because I remember I was terribly underleveled for the end boss, so I eventually had to do a crap-ton of grinding on the last dungeon, so its probably a good idea to take your time.

I leveled everyone on most fights, but the tougher boss fights, I would just cycle in certain characters for buffs and never bring them back in. I felt that if I went after (and eventually got) everyone's legendary weapons, I better at least have them leveled up enough for them to matter. There are places throughout the game that you can also farm ability spheres, though I don't know them off the top of my head.

I remember only going with a select few. Tidis, Aaron, Yuna/Lulu I think. That's a majority, but whatever.

Also, I dislike that game heavily.

I really should've gotten something else at the same time when I made the replacement request so that there'd be a better chance of getting a box. Ah well, we'll see how it goes :whistle2:|

Back in the day I would level up evenly when I had the time to explore game mechanics on my own and I liked seeing different combinations of parties work.

Now I just choose the hot chicks and try to beat the game quickly.

How sexually aggressive? Like, actual sex?

There are a lot of Japanese Hentai PC RPGs with really good mechanics (and terrible stories and art sometimes as well).

My rule with almost every applicable game is to cycle party members.

and now hexyz force is starting to get difficult. according to gamefaqs, though i entered a dungeon ahead of the story so that's why im needing to heal or revive after each battle.
man, this game has alot of backtracking too.

Mine came in a padded envelope and was slightly bent near the top, but not too badly.

Since I can't afford SMT IV at the moment, I'm playing Persona 3 Portable. It's a lot faster than the original game. I'm playing as the female character so the social links are different. I see the characters in a different way too. Yukari seems like a total bitch.

Just like in The Answer!

Even though I just beat P3P for the first time like a week ago, I'm still considering picking it back up for a FeMC run. Do you know if you can NewGame+ into her from a male save file?

This is my first time playing P3P as well. Yes your NewGame+ will carry over to FeMC.

Had the same packaging for my other boxed 3DS games; Etrian Odyssey IV and Soul Hackers' boxes each had a crease on them, but nothing really awful, and Project X-Zone got here in perfect condition. SMT IV's outer slipcover had a bunch of dents on the top and looked like it was on the verge of tearing.

In general, it's just that I have much more reliable experiences with boxes when it comes to Amazon.

Man, there was a certain scene (I'm sure you know the one) where I just wanted to yell at her, "WHAT THE fuck IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
Not that the others were much better, but she was definitely the worst, and they were all out of character. I wanted to smack The Answer's writer most of all.

Ah, yeah that sucks. My Etrian Odyssey IV came in a padded envelope too and ended up with the same thing as my SMTIV, a bit bent at one of the edges but not too bad. I totally agree, I've never had problems with boxes from amazon though, usually because they put all kinds of air pouches and things in there to make sure things don't move around. Although I have had some books slightly damaged from them doing that shrink wrap to a board thing they sometimes do.

Yeah, I get that tensions were high and people were being irrational. I actually liked it to a degree, but Yukari getting all catty and snippy with Aigis didn't make any sense given the context. I think Akihiko and Junpei had some of my favorite coping in that expansion.

Yeah, amazon has usually been good at sending boxes, although I do think one time the mail carrier managed to smash one of those even.

My copy of SMTIV from Newegg actually came in a box today, so I guess I lucked out.

Got my replacement SMT IV. It came in an envelope again, but the item itself is in much better condition, at least going by how the slipcase looks.

I'll open it up later to see how everything looks, but for now, into the backlog pile it goes >_>;

I'm not sure how to feel about these costumes anymore.

She is not! She's super caring. She's just been though a lot.

You wouldn't understand since you haven't dated her.

The fuck? I thought the first pic was shopped, then saw the in game... What the hell?

SMTIV came in a padded envelope from Amazon, but luckily it wasn't damaged at all :D Time to relegate it to the backlog after entering the Club Nintendo card for the $30 eshop cred. First gonna be sure to nab the free "limited time" armor DLC though.

Just came back to post that. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I am irrationally excited for Mario and Luigi: Dream Team.

No rumor-- it's true. Have fun, EarthBound fans.
I think that was actually confirmed a while back (although maybe it was just a really strongly backed rumor), I remember something about it from Fangamer a couple months ago I think. Glad to see it's finally out. Although I don't own a Wii U so I can't actually financially support the game, if/when I get one I'll probably pick it up though.

I got my SMTIV from GameStop and after I opened it I realized there was a tear on the outer box. The guys at my store are cool though and let me exchange it for a new box, this is why I like GameStop lol. Got dlc for getting it there that I didn't even know about but apparently its pretty shitty armor.
