There something so wrong about that statement...

I used to want to try and get my arms larger than Scott Steiner's just so when he said "I'm the man with the largest arms in the world" I could say... oh no you're not! Ha ha, but then I realized without steroids that wasn't going to happen. So, instead I'll just go up and say, but you're not the horse with the largest...
Holy shit I'm not used to seeing you without Mr. Ed.

- After making his debut this past Sunday at the TNA Victory Road PPV, Randy Savage contacted TNA officials this afternoon and said that he was pulling out of all future appearances.

Savage was schedule to appear on tonight’s Impact! taping. He was originally booked in a match for December’s PPV, Turning Point, in a tag team match with Monty Brown and AJ Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett and The Outsiders.

Savage claimed they had an “unsafe working environment” after his run-ins with Hulk Hogan backstage at Victory Road. Hogan and Savage had a conversation backstage and Hogan offered him to step outside so they can settle their differences. Hogan then asked for their issues to be left in the past and Savage ignored his comments and walked off.

DOH! That sucks! Get my hopes up for nothing.
yea hope u get better...

and that thing with savage sucks..why even come out if your not gonna stck around
I know. It is because of the shit with Hogan.

And is it me, or does he look like a stumpy Undertaker?

Savage has lost his mind... real pity too, he was a great wrestler. In fact Savage was probably one of my all-time favorites. Shame he's let his pride ruin what could've been an interesting last run. In fact he let his pride prevent him from returning to WWE for WM20. Hopefully Bret Hart comes around, although it's understandable if he doesn't, for obvious reasons.

Well like I said, it is because of the whole Hogan thing. If they got that straightened out, then this wouldn't have happened.

And I do see The Hitman at WM21. It probably will happen. Although I am not getting my hopes up.

Hmm... this talk of Savage, Taker, and Bret Hart has prompted me to ask everyone a question:

List your top 10 or if you can't limit it to 10, then top 20 favorite wrestlers. The word favorite is key here, as that doesn't mean who you think was the best, so if you really think that Tatanka was the greatest wrestler ever then by all means go with it.

Sorry for all the Japanese wrestlers; I'm just so down with wrestling these days it hurts my mind to reach back into the 'good ol' days' or wrestling.

myke!

1. The Rock (Nobody IMO could have pulled off all that he did, he was a pretty good wrestler and even though WWE only allows them to use their signature moves at the end, he seemed to bmake all the others moves awesome also, he was very exhilarating. Also as has been shown that he's a pretty good actor, nobody and I mean nobody could have pulled off the catchlines that they wrote for him. I mena when you really think about it, Do You Smell What the Rock Is Cookin? really isn't that great of a catch phrase?)

I would just like to say that even though I don't like him that much anymore, Hogan has to be up there at number 1/tied with the Rock. He truly revolutionized the genre of wrestling. I became interested in wrestling because of him.

hmmm..Can't really think of any more wrestlers at the moment. I need some more ideas from the rest of you guys.

Hehe yeah he has become a wuss.

Despite a shitty PPV (so I heard), TNA has picked up some momentum with Nash, Hall, DDP, etc. If they can add Sting more and (maybe) Hogan, they will be #2 sooner than they know it.

But, dammit, they have ***GOT*** to sign talent before putting them on TV. Because they did not, the PPV surprise (Savage) ran out on them half a day later.

Wasn't Savage's entire CD devoted to calling out Hogan "Be a Man"????

cripes. go eat a slim jim.
Heh, so far not 1 list of favorite wrestlers has HHH. I find that amusing. And yet he's still the champ.
He is a very good wrestler, but the WWE has over-used him to the point that his gimmick wore thin 5 years ago.

they need to put him back in a faction like DX where it is less about business and more about humilating people and having a good time

i'll throw in my favorite wrestlers in a rough order:

1. bret hart
2. hulk hogan
3. rowdy roddy piper
4. mick foley (and all that is mick foley, except dude love, i hated that character)
5. macho man
6. scott hall / razor ramon
7. ric flair
8. the rock
9. mr. perfect (before he went by curt hennig)
10. kevin nash / diesel (post vinnie vegas)
11. undertaker (before he became the whole "rebel cowboy" guy)
12. chris jericho
13. stone cold steve austin (post "stunning" era)
14. the legion of doom
15. "the million dollar man" ted dibiase

my friend keeps giving me shit because I keep using the Hitman and tearing him apart with the sharpshooter

my reason for bringing this up is the fact that he let himself be included in a WWE product. Hopefully this is a good sign that he will return

I hope it happens. I know he wouldn't be restling, cause he can barely walk from the stroke he had. But it would be nice to see him give a retirement speech or something.

My top ten favorite...(no real order)

1. Rey Mysterio Jr. (WITH mask)
2. D'Lo Brown (I wish WWE kept him)
3. Dean Malenko (WCW days)
4. The Rock
5. Kurt Angle
6. Blitzkrieg (What is he doing nowadays?)
7. Brock Lesnar
8. Diamond Dallas Page (WCW days)
9. Vader
10. The Big Show/Giant

WWE Upgrades to HD With Snell & Wilcox Uses Alchemist Platinum and Ukon standards converters
November 09, 2004

Snell & Wilcox today announced that its standards converters have been selected by World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) to facilitate the media and entertainment company’s move toward high-definition (HD) broadcasting. With its purchase of a Ukon universal converter and upgrade of its Alchemist Platinum Ph.C standards converter to include HD outputs, WWE has started its migration to HD broadcasts of its professional wrestling events.

“As a visually exciting spectator sport, professional wrestling is a perfect fit with the level of detail that HD provides,” said Marty Ludwin, senior director of engineering for WWE. “When we decided to make our initial purchases in HD, Snell & Wilcox was our top choice for conversion equipment. The company has a reputation for quality that is second to none and we knew we could trust its systems as we make our own transition to high-definition broadcasting.”

The precise standards conversion delivered by the Snell & Wilcox Alchemist Platinum Ph.C is made possible through its phase correlation motion estimation technology. Alchemist Platinum Ph.C is the most powerful and accurate form of motion measurement in the broadcast industry, with conversions that are virtually transparent. The system is fully upgradeable, allowing customers like WWE to purchase the Alchemist Platinum Ph.C for standard-definition (SD) conversion and easily adapt it to accommodate HD feeds at a later date.

YAY! WWE in HD!

19 Raven
20 Yokozuna
Heh, so far not 1 list of favorite wrestlers has HHH. I find that amusing. And yet he's still the champ.
Well, the difficult thing for a wrestling company to do is determine if a wrestler is hated because they are doing their job properly (Ric Flair, Vader, Ted DiBiase) or because the fans would rather see them die than wrestle (HHH, X-Pac, Glacier).

WWE's problem is (1) they've built up nobody in the past few years, other than Lesnar, (2) they are abusing cognitive dissonance to a whole new level in trying to justify HHH as champ. There may be a third, but making excuses for HHH while they have to fire 12 guys in order to maintain a stable flow of income due to significant decreases in revenue is just plain dumb (and financially suicidal).

HHH did an incredible job keeping the company above water while undertaker and austin were out in 2000 (was it 2000?). To be doing the same exact thing years and year later...well, let me put it this way. There is a reason Buff Bagwell and Brian Christopher don't get booked very much on indy shows anymore.

Anyway, people hate HHH in the X-pac sense anymore (I think), despite many agreeing that he was a great wrestler. Can he save himself, and avoid being cast as the most overtly political wrestler since Dusty Rhodes himself, or has he already doomed himself?

myke.
And they just advertised Survivor Series as a "cataclysmic orgy of aggression." wtf... seriously, wtf?
Well, you don't spend that kind of money on a thesaurus to go and not use it, right?

I thought the same thing, too. Shame I invited people over to watch it, or I'd spend my time revising some research I'm doing.

Seriously.

myke.

I haven't seen a WWE ppv since... WM actually. That's pretty much the ppv per year now. Although I must admit I've always been a fan of the Survivor Series and Royal Rumble. Alas, there's only two "classic" SS matches on the card.
i wanna go to the next tna ppv...wanna see the outsiders
I wonder what music they are going to use.

I hope they are in a decent segment of Impact as well. Would be nice to see them set up a Tag Team match for the belts at the next PPV. They need to come in and take over!!!

I hope they just show up at a WWE event one day, like actually buy some tickets and sit in the audience with their championship belts, now that would be comedy.

theres gonna be a tna special now at 11pm est on fox sports net...theres gonan be some good matched including hardy and jarret in a cage....watch it now!!!!

Breaking News: Randy Savage Back With TNA Already?
Posted by Matthew Boone on 11/11/2004

According to WrestlingObserver.com, Randy Savage is already re-negotiating with TNA officials to make a return. He removed himself from future appearances, allegedly due to the fact that Hogan's presence at TNA Victory Road provided an "unsafe working environment."

It is not known if there's any chance of it happening, but apparently, the odds aren't terrible.

Many in the TNA lockerroom lost a lot of respect for Savage's decision to remove himself from TNA booking, with some calling his rationale into question.

Ok make up your goddamned mind, you old fogey!
