Jushin "Thunder" Liger's wrestling topic

I think I'll try Fantasy this time around. Sounds like a good time (besides, I don't do an other fantasy stuff).

What the hell is the deal with the WWE and twins or guys that look like twins?

The Bashams, The Dicks, and now the Gymini? I half expect the Harris Bros. next week.
i'll try it too. what's the team name thing that they ask for?
That's what your call yourself in the game.

Ok, I made the league. Here's the info:

League Name: CAG
Password: Cheap
The Mickie James pics are from Leg Magazine from what I have read.
The ones I've seen are from RBKane.net (or that is what the watermark says)

Does anyone else get a show on local tv called TNA Xplosion? This show comes on Sunshine Network here, and I'm assuming it's a local thing since I live about 45 minutes from Orlando/Universal studios. The description for this show is "Highlights and matches from NWA-TNA; interviews with NWA-TNA superstars." It comes on right after Smackdown (Smackdown ends at Midnight here, it's usually bumped back because UPN carries Orlando Magic games in this area (both home and away)), and they always seem to play on Friday nights. So I guess my question is, does anyone else get this show in their area??

Leg Magazine is from that site if I recall.
I'm still in the old league... why not just continue in that one? Or do they erase the old leagues when the new season starts?
Yes, you need to join the new one. That old league was only for last season. Once the season is over, the old league stays like that (so you can see how you did previously).

I forgot to watch Smackdown tonight. Did the edit the Mark Henry steel cage fiasco?

Also heard that the WWE caught on to youtube.com and they're starting to get rid of all the WWE vids that were uploaded on there. :bomb: :bomb: :bomb:

It used to be on in my area early Sunday morning on an off station during a 3 hour block of wrestling. It was in the middle between a local company that is now gone (last time I watched they were pushing Glen Gil.. I mean Disco Inferno to the moon) and the now long gone NWA Wildside (which last time I watched were showing "best of" matches which included a "never before seen" AJ Styles vs David Young match which was pretty decent even if the production quality made TNA 2002 look godly amazing).

Back when we did have Xplosion then it was highlights of the then Wednesday PPVs (with loads of editing... lots of profanity bleeps during the Tradition vs SEX period) and maybe one or two matches exclusive to Xplosion as well. Most of the time it would be tryout matches for new talent (I remember a local guy named Kid Krazy getting a tryout).

These days from what I understand its mostly Impact highlights with one new match thrown in. Heck I remember this last summer during the blackout period TNA actually just sent Impact in place of Xplosion. So reality is that Impact wasn't completely off the air... it was just on at even more obscurely odd times than it ever had been before (and in only a few small areas).

I'm amazed that they use the name NWA-TNA in the description as well. You rarely hear them use it anymore except perhaps on occasion when Don West goofs up.

WWE announced a second Ultimate Ric Flair collection DVD for this year - Wrestling Observer

Hell yeah... The Flair setis my favorite (althoughI only have that, ECW, Undertaker, Benoit, and Guerrero). More Flair= happy Matt.

Did anyone else think that the Lashley promo absolutely killed any "this motherfucker will destroy you" momentum he had going into this week? Whomever authorized airing that promo after seeing it should be fired. He's fun to watch in the ring, but god-DAMN that was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, one of the weakest fucking promos I've ever heard. I wanted to buy him a precious moments collection figurine because I figured him for a fucking princess after hearing him talk. Bad move, WWE. He's still capable of being a big star, but get him a fuckin' manager ASAP.

And why not a feud? You fuckers too busy brainstorming over what the Boogeyman's gonna do next week? Here's a hint; he's gonna eat worms and shimmy, 'cuz you fucks are boring.

I thought is was bland, but I didn't feel as strongly about it as you do. It was something that could stand improvement though.
I dont know if it's been mentioned yet, but Season 6 of WWE Fantasy is about to begin. It begins during the week of the Royal Rumble (1/23/06). Figured that this was pretty popular last time around and maybe some newcomers will want to sign up. Anyone interested? If you are, I'll make a league. Here's the info if you're new to this.

Bah.. damn fantasy, I should've won last go around, and would've had I kept Orton instead of switching to Benoit in the final week. NUTS TO THAT!

Well the Horse is here to respond to your many questions, ideas, comments, etc...
He's on to a lucrative career as a Michael Jackson impersonator.
HA, my brother and I used to always say he looked like MJ
Man, I was listening to ESPN Sports Radio just now. You should hear the guys calling in and fawning over Stacy Kiebler on Dancing With the Stars. The host keeps referring to her as the "lady wrestler". One guy said if he knew wrestlers looked like that he would have watched years ago.

Who wants to be the first to tell them she isn't a wrestler?

And where is the clip of her dancing? With all the callers commenting on her legs she must have really been dolled up. Yes, I said dolled.
ESPN... ba, nuts to those dipshits. I wonder if they'll ever find out she was a former Raven's cheerleader.

 I doubt that very much, they took off with Russo and Ferrera, so a WWE return probably won't happen.
dammit typed something wrong (my keyboard has a lot of hotkeys)
and ended up naming my team CAG...
Fret not amigo, you can always change your team name.

I missed the promo... but I have a few comments here. First, the Boogeyman appears to be starting a feud with JBL, there's plans that involve him and Bradshaw's assistant down the line, as well as that *growth* on her face.

As for Lashley, IF I were booking this I'd bring back Farooq and have him be Lashley's manager. Not sure if Farooq would go for it, but he certainly cut a mean promo back in his N.o.D. days and could easily get Lashley over. They both used the Dominator too, not that that really matters, but it could be relevant if they ever tag teamed once or twice against say the Ortons. Plus, having Farooq in his corner would instantly allow Lashley to feud with JBL.

If that fails, then it's time to give old Slick a call... course last I heard he became a real Minister.

Harris Bros work for TNA behind the scenes.

Expecting Parents
January 8, 2006

Stephanie (McMahon) Levesque and her husband, Paul Levesque (Triple H), are happy to announce that they are expecting their first child. WWE.com would like to congratulate the expecting parents.

Since ZL mentioned it, there is supposedly an interesting plan for the JBL/Boogeyman feud which would help Jillian Hall's career greatly. I won't say anymore for now.

In other, perhaps scarier news, since it will ruin one of the world's greatestbodies and possibly the WWE itself in the future:

Stephanie (McMahon) Levesque and her husband, Paul Levesque (Triple H), are happy to announce that they are expecting their first child. WWE.com would like to congratulate the expecting parents.

EDIT: Guyver posted it while I was typing. fuck Goldberg.

Ric Flair vs Edge - Flair wins via DQ (Edge hits him with the briefcase)

Mickie James vs Trish - Trish wins via Chick Kick

Gregory Helms vs Jerry Lawler - Lawler wins via fist drop off turnbuckle

Big Show vs Triple H - HHH wins via sledge hammer to head of Show and a pedigree

Shelton Benjamin vs Viscera - Benjamin via interference from his mom and connects with a spin kick

Edge/Cena? Christ on a stick, that's some slick storytelling, having Edge take advantage of his title shot after an EC match, but Edge vs. Cena? Are they thanking me for not buying the show?

What An Ending

Bottom line the chamber match was not too exciting but im glad to see that masters and carlito had a great showing.. kane and angle get screwed again..
