You're not worried that all retailers are still taking preorders two weeks out?
But it doesn't guarantee you get the system on launch day. Amazon has been taking pre-orders since day one...but when you buy it it doesn't say delivery on launch day. It's sometime in the future.

I'm not going to sell mine for an exorbitant amount of money on eBay...I'm just going to sell to locals on Craigslist.

Josh, if the coupon deals are set to return on the 3DS launch, and the 3DS deal doesn't involve a coupon...what will? The launch titles, or something else? :???:

It's the surrounding releases, Tiger Woods, Nascar etc.

The 3DS launches the day after my birthday. It would make an awesome present to get for myself (from birthday money), but I don't see any launch titles that pique my interest.
It's the surrounding releases, Tiger Woods, Nascar etc.
Ah, I see--it's too bad DW7 probably won't qualify for a coupon deal, since it's also coming out that week.

I don't think you read my earlier question, so I'll post it again: Are there any plans in the deal pipeline for a 360 console deal soon (preferably without Kinect)? I might have to replace my recently-E74-error'd console :)cry:) and it'd be helpful if Kmart would have something to alleviate the high cost...

Yes actually; probably late April from what I'm seeing now. The industry will get aggressive with them as they come back in stock.
Interested in what the NASCAR deal will be...
It better be a deal worth racing crazily to Kmart, or tires will roll. (enters Kmart parking lot at an insane speed, loses control, then crashes through Kmart store)

I did actually! I'll get back with you tonight. Thanks for sending it.

Will there be any 3DS game only offers? unfortunately I'm tied to gamestop since I traded my DSi in towards it (plus midnight launch, sorry) but planned on buying a game the next day here. If not on day one will there be any deals in the following weeks?

Also as a Kmart electronics employee I have to say once this takes off a little bit more and there is more awareness I would be up for hosting midnight launches, even if it was only for certain launches. When I tell people about the deals on the larger game releases like Black Ops I will see them there in the morning when I'm picking up my copy. Just something to keep in mind.

I believe you can still cancel the pre-order. I think they just transfer the credit you put towards it to a gift card.
that pique my interest.
Whoa! Props, man! You have got to be the first person on the entire Internet whom I've seen properly use that phrase rather than "peak" or "peaked."

I don't want to spend cash when I have credit I can use... Plus I traded another 70 worth of games in to offset some more of the cost. I'm still buying at least one game from kmart, I just thought I would ask to see for sure. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering.

Piquerism

I think 3ds resellers are going to be disappointed. Hype for this system is high but not like other huge releases. I think of the first ds fat launch and gba and they were pretty widely available at launch.

That said i played it today at best buy and i will be at kmart that sunday morning for sure. Dont love the blue color though.
I think the best venue to have their duel would be MvC3 best of 5 and should be streamed online as well. Trash talk is a must, akin to KB and Jack Trenton from the MNR promo commercial.
I'm liking this idea. If only Kevin Butler himself could be the commentator for the match. :) Maybe if we're all good, Santa Josh will come through for us (minus KB, of course.)

On a more serious note, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Is that going to be a big game for Kmart? Starting to look really promising.

I'm a western RPG whore, Sqaure has a tough time selling me the game because I always know more about it then their reps :)

Probably just the HW offer at launch but I totally agree with yon on the midnight launches. We are working on it now actually for the holiday.

I'm wondering this too actually. I preordered a 3DS from Amazon because I had some credit and I'm not 100% sure if I will be able to make it to Kmart early that morning, just didn't want to take the chance on missing out. I would love to pick up a launch game or two at Kmart with a coupon though...

EDIT: Looks like I already have my answer

Also, I have a follow-up question to my earlier 360 console deal question: Can you say whether that late April offer would include non-Kinect consoles/bundles?

No prob, it will include non-Kinect consoles, yes.

If Ocarina comes out without a deal from us than I have been buyer-napped by the competition and you all should come after me.

When the coupons comeback, if I get Tiger Woods and Nascar 11 and assuming there are coupon deals for both, will i have to do 2 transactions to get both coupons to print?

Nope, just one transaction and both will print.

Most likely a save $10 right at launch.

I might be remembering the wrong game but didn't Dynasty Warriors usually run at $49.99 rather than $59.99 on release? Not too bad, especially since I liked what they did with Samurai Warriors 3.

I hope your right about that because then i will bite on the deal for sure. I'm iffy bout the 10 dollars off 60... lol

Yeah this is more and more common these days, at least from a consumer standpoint.

I am very interested in Deus Ex so hopefully the deal on it will be good, but last I heard it's coming out in August.

On the shop your rewards site it notes the Yakuza 4 deal with 10k SYWR points, but no free Yakuza 3. Hopefully their site is wrong. Gonna try tomorrow.

Their site is correct, the free yakuza has nothing to do with SYWR.

Why do so many people doubt that these kinds of sales will work? The only thing that has ever not worked is SYWR....

Sounds optimistic for good deal support. :bouncy: Though you'd think if Square's reps want to sell a game, they'd know it pretty well. Seems tough to sell a game you don't know.

Wow, if you guys do 10 bucks off DW7 at launch, im sold at K-Mart. Was gonna pay full retail somewhere else anyway.

Still hoping for some good 3DS game deals, so i can start planning my war-path on sunday morning.

Here's the list of 3DS launch titles, for anyone who's interested: http://www.crunchgear.com/2011/02/22/here-are-the-north-american-3ds-launch-titles/

Don't know yet what I'll pick. SFIV is probably the highest profile one, but I don't feel that I need a portable Capcom fighter. Honestly, Bust-A-Move Universe probably appeals to me the most, even if it is a title that is likely to drop in price before too long. Love me some Puzzle Bobble.

Personally im going with Street Fighter (Never really played SSF4, so it'll be fresh), and Samurai Warriors (Im a huge DW fan, and it looks good aside from the lack of Online).

Might get Bust-A-Move shortly after, and Pilot Wings if it shows up used. (I played it and it was amazing, but i hear its so short)

I played 3DS today at a demo kiosk -

I have played games on 3D TVs with the glasses - this feels very similar, not quite as good as that effect, but considering it's on a handheld without glasses it's super impressive.

I know it's going to vary from person to person but the full power 3D didn't bother my eyes in about 15 min of playing.

I'm absolutely gonna be getting one now - playing pilotwings resort and using the jetpack to explore around the island really sold me on the idea of platformers and other games with 3DS's effects.

Probably will get Pilotwings at launch. Want to wait for reviews on Steel Diver, Rayman 3D (like i said, platformers are going to be awesome on this) Ridge Racer 3D.

The slide pad for analog movement is SO good. So much better than the awful PSP analog nub.

I'll probably get SSF4, but I was hoping for some kind of coupon deal so I could pick up another game in the near future, Super Monkey Ball and Pilot Wings are the other 2 that seem interesting, but I heard Pilot Wings is really short... Super Monkey Ball seems like it would work awesomely with the gyroscope, even if I had to turn the 3D off to use it.

As far as the near future OoT is a must and Resident Evil looks pretty sweet too.

It is impressive. Definitely a cool device. For me, it does take my eyes a bit to adjust to it but I haven't had an issue with my 3D TV at home so I am hoping it the eye fatigue won't be too pronounced.

And the size of the system is on par with DSi, but it's heavier. The design feels like DS version 1 - like they didn't have as much time as they wanted to really streamline it. I will say though that as far as version 1 Nintendo handhelds this is probably the best one. Think about the DS fat version - the GBA without backlight, and the brick style game boy for comparison.

I think the only thing they will end up adding with the hardware revision will be a better looking case/design and better battery life. Maybe bigger screens.

The touch screen seemed more sensitive than the regular DS. Just pressing like on Ipod touch worked pretty well for pilotwings menus.

The Best Buy i went to actually had a chair infront of the Kiosk, incase someone started playing too long and lost control of thier body. Made me chuckle a bit.

I played for about 15 minutes personally, didnt feel any problems or such.

I don't have a problem with pilotwings being "too short" as it's more of a game about perfecting each mission than just doing each mission. Think about the content of the N64 version and how long it takes to really get 100% in that game.

I do wish there were more than one island. The little america island in the N64 version was always my favorite to explore. It couldn't really have been that difficult for them to port some of that content over, could it have?

such good music in that game. Played it for months when the N64 came out.
