Ok...I guess you guys are right. I could have sworn it was more expensive at my Borders....maybe that was bc I could of sworn the new IJ Cairo (battlepack size) set was 14.99??

Anyways, that's great news that they should be msrp...just wish 30% off coupon was 40% off.
Oh god. I've been monitoring ebay for this for a while. I want it so bad! GAHHHH:bomb:
Expect it to end at least close to $200 with 4 days left. I regret not getting more batman sets when a local TRU was closing down. =/
I was at my local Lego store tonight, picked up Single Drum Roller on clearance for $15 and a pick a brick cup. On my way home I stopped at Walmart and found the red sports car on clearance for $5. They also had green base plates on clearance for $3.50 but I figured I've spent enough on Legos lately.

The Wind Turbine Transport and Star Wars Home One sets were also on clearance at the Lego store for 30% off. Seems Lego is clearancing all the TRU exclusives? Maybe a new wave of them coming soon?
I wish my WM has green baseplates for that price. I need a bunch of them...

The Borders around me have their LEGOs at MSRP. As a matter of fact, the only thing inflates are the DVDs and CDs.

Finally found the LEGO Star Wars Easter polybags at Target! I had been monitoring two Targets regularly (2-3 times a week) ever since they started an Easter section and the shelves were bare. They had a price sticker for one of the slots specifically for the LEGO Star Wars; next to the Duplo and City sets. The Duplo and City sets came and the City sets sold out in 3-4 days (I passed on them). The Star Wars slot remained empty, but then all of a sudden, the sticker was removed and other crap was in its place. I even asked several employees about this item and one guy said he saw one set and I was bummed that they must have stocked and sold out in between visits.

Luckily, I kept checking and somehow the other Target had a few and they were on clearance for $2.44 each. Wow. I didn't have to pay $9 on eBay for an X-Wing. I don't know how they finally showed up for me right before I got desperate. I can't believe they would ever need to discount these polybags until after the holiday if they would survive that long. In my area, that wouldn't happen. For the Christmas selection, there was one TIE Fighter that got marked clearance only because that set got lost between shelves as they sold out way before the holiday.

TRU.com is giving a free "My First Lego" set (value $16.99) with any LEGO purchase of $50 or more.

Ostrich Race is also in stock online for $19.99.
Oh god. I've been monitoring ebay for this for a while. I want it so bad! GAHHHH:bomb:
It's not worth $200.

It's about worth the $40 I got it for. I wish I bought two of all the Batman sets because you would get a copy of all the sets for free when you sell the other one and still make an insane amount of money.

Just got the sunday paper at work, Target has the City Seaplane and Toy Story Army Men On Patrol for $9 each.

Not sure if this is nationwide, but I'm in the Seattle area, good hunting!

Wow, Arkham is worth that much? I have one sitting in my closet as well that I grabbed on discount at a TRU a while back. Was thinking of raiding it for parts. But sounds like I'm better off selling the thing and just buying other Lego.

Most of the City and Toy Story sets are also on sale for about 10% off.

All Batman sets shot up in value as soon as they announced they were ending the line. The Batcave is just plain silly expensive now. Like $400+ for sealed ones silly...

I wasn't really much into Lego back when Batman sets were around so I just dabbled a little in the sets (Tumbler, Bat Plane, Robin Submarine) but now I really wish I had bought every single set in the line.

City Seaplane was $8.50 on Amazon for several weeks now. Seeing the nutso prices on Lego Batman sets makes me wish I had gotten all of them too...to sell. :p

Used the K-Mart $10 coupon on the Tow Truck (marked $14.99) with a few household items as filler to get to $20. Will probably use the coupon a bunch more times between now and May. K-Mart's markups are nuts but getting a sub-$20 set plus other items is more palatable than getting two sets and paying twice the markup.

I saw the Prince of Persia ostrich set at Kmart today, but it was $21.99. I think that's $2 over MSRP so I passed. I also saw the Star Wars landspeeder set at a Walmart for the first time. I thought about buying it, but it was too tough to justify $25 for that set. I'm not usually one to complain about Lego pricing, but I will when it comes to some of the new SW sets. :D

You live in NY or Chicago? I thought the coupon was dead unless you live in a couple of specific areas.

Unfortunately, it wasn't supposed to work at "All Locations", a mistake on their part. The deal is dead now. Too bad, as I would've loved to get Ostrich Race for $13-ish (counting their markup :p).

I confirmed 30% off Wind Turbine, and other sets at my local Lego store this morning. Didn't really get a chance to look at much or buy anything since I was mainly there to meet a high school classmate as a mini-reunion (he had his son with him).

I'm sorry but the deal is not dead. If my coupon says that then that's what it means or it's fraud on their count. You just need to bitch. Remember this is a retail, just get louder and louder until they take the coupon that they should be taking. You people call yourself cheap asses.

April 9th: Grand Opening Lego Store in Garden City, NY
Really? I need to move there. That is a well known gay area of NYC, and they have a LEGO Store.. heaven.

That lego store is actually in the Roosevelt Fields mall which I posted about quite a few pages back. Ill probably go there opening day after school :)

LoL.. you crack me up!!!! You remind me of somebody that used to play q3 years and years ago he lived in MA too. Any chance you're the same person? He went by the name heathen.

Yes, I live in New York City. I successfully used the coupon at the 34th St. location. This week I will try it out at the Astor Place location and post results. I assume since NYC is one of the target areas that it will work.

I think K-Mart this week has the DS3 controller for $34.99 making it $24.99 with the coupon. I wish I could use the coupon because I would be all over that!!!

Nah, it's not fraud. People on the internet tend to throw that word around when talking about retailers. It's true that the squeaky wheel may get the grease (although from my limited experience, K-Mart's employees seem barely sentient, so arguing with them may be particularly frustrating), but they're not actually under any legal obligation to honor the coupon. Under the law, companies are allowed to make honest (if idiotic) mistakes and fix them without penalty.

I actually bought the Landspeeder at Walmart a week and a half ago but returned it this morning. I know its got all the great minifigs with it but I just couldn't justify $25 for such a small set.

Hey now, this thread is about Lego :p
LoL.. you crack me up!!!! You remind me of somebody that used to play q3 years and years ago he lived in MA too. Any chance you're the same person? He went by the name heathen.
Nope I think I played Quake 3 (I'm guessing that's what Q3 is ) like two times.

However all gay guys are fun and hot like me... except the ones I date.

Oh yeah... LEGOs... There I said LEGO, I'm still on topic. :)

EDIT - A new catalog came, all that is new is the PoP sets, but it's still nice to have a new catalog.

Target has all the Toy Story sets and all City sets at 10% off. I was also able to use the Target $5 off Lego coupons, YMMV as it's supposed to be for 3 or 4 particular sets but the cashier didn't care and they scanned fine.

All the PoP sets and accessories are now available to order on the Lego US S@H site. They have the magnets too, if you want cheap minifigs.
I just got the April Lego Store Calender here are some key points:
April 20-21: Free PoP keychain with $35 purchase
You forgot to note that the free PoP keychain offer is valid for LEGO Store Club Members only... :D
Thanks for the heads up. Stopped by with my son today hoping to find some POP sets or the new games and they had the giant rock monster model. Of course my son practically started climbing it ignoring the big red "DO NOT TOUCH" signs surrounding it. I saw the same discounts that gunnm did...Home One, Turbine Trans., but also one Millineum Falcon for $400 instead of $500. No POP sets in store, but I just noticed that they are all live now on [email protected] have ordered with free shipping.

My store was out of DS3's...pricematched at BB and got to pick out which color I wanted too. $35 is still a really good price.

I tried this last week with the bucket truck set and the computer said item not found, so YMMV on this coupon working with sets other than those listed.
Where is this magical $5 coupon and what sets is it suppose to work on? I might be very interested.

As for the PoP sets, my general opinion is nice to have, but maybe not own. Though the Palace/Castle set is indeed impressive.
There is a $5 Target coupon I'm missing?
Yep, that's what I thought too... and I usually follow this thread every hour.

Yeah, after missing the last round of clearance items, I decided that I really need to watch this thread more then I have been. The last time I checked it semi-regularly was shortly after it was started...

Then I forgot about it >.<

NEVER AGAIN.

It is probably the coupon that lists specific sets (Ben 10 Jet Ray, Toy Story Woody & Buzz, City Off Road Fire Truck & Boat), giving $5 off.

I would guess Target set it up in the system to apply to more than just those three. At the very least, I would expect it to work for the sets at the same price point of each line, if not the whole line.

The coupon is (or was) on Target's coupon site. $5 off a bunch of Lego sets.

I can't see it on the site anymore because I already printed the max (2).

sites.target.com/site/en/supertarget/page.jsp?title=coupons_specials

You can get the Target $5 off coupon directly off their website. Just look for the "Coupons" link near the bottom of the home page, then look for "Toys And Games" on the left side of the page. Unfortunately, it requires that you install one of those "Print only once/limited number of printable copies" applications before you can print it.

I stopped by Toys R Us today to preorder Toy Story Blu-Rays and noticed the Prince of Persia Battle of Alamut set on the shelf. This is the sort of set I would have completely flipped for as a kid (seeing it instantly brought back memories of unwrapping boxes on my birthday and finding one of these big sets), but now... eh. I am sure we will see some great Arabian Nights MOCs pop up soon, but unless I decide to build a mosque or other such building for my town, I'm not sure I need it.

I'm definitely getting Battle of Alamut. I think the only one I'm not really interested in is Quest for Time. Seems like this theme is going be pretty popular...

Thanks! I'll see about Toy Story sets... maybe get that one cheaper.

I might pick up some City sets too and see if it'll work.
Power Miners Rock Wrecker on clearance at Target:

Walmart clearanced that out to either $15 or $17... can't remember. I've got 2 sets from that!

My local Walmarts sucked this year for clearance...there is one Agents 2.0 giant helicopter set that has been $54 for over two months now. And yet I scan it once a week like a sucker to see if it has dropped, only to put it back in disappointment.

yeah WM like cuts them to 45% or 50% and leave it. we're not seeing the 30% and then weeks later 60%.... because they know we will wait :p

I was even holding onto like $200 to see if WM would like last time... damn that was nice.

3x Troll ships
2x Castles
2x SW sets
1x Indy set

for $192.
Barnes & Noble members can get the Lego Star Wars Visual Dictionary at bn.com right now for $10.27 + tax using code X4H8Y3M. Shipping is free.

I haven't decided whether to get this. I'm not into Star Wars, but my girlfriend tends to like Lego books.
nice book, but just not a fan of SW. if I can pick it up in stores for that much but I doubt it. Online price shouldn't matter vs in store.... bastids.
