Picked up SW AAT tank for $20 at Kmart, but better yet got #6191, 6192, 6193 for $4 each...120-150 pieces each. Wish I had read the whole ad when I went out Monday.

TRU had shelf stickers for POP but no sets yet.

Same. There are several other Kmarts I could check out that are a lot further away from me, but I don't hold much hope on those. For some reason, I have better luck at Walmart.

Speaking of which, my Walmart seems to have an overstock of Battle for Endors--they have them on two different shelves in the toy section, so I'm wondering if they are going to discount or clearance them in the coming weeks. Crossing my fingers it will happen soon because Amazon is getting new stock on April 1st and I don't want to miss out on FSSS/no tax again if I can't get it on clearance or sale.
Hehe, I just meant the actual boxes of minifigures ... I still haven't heard of any stores that might be willing to sell entire unopened boxes, so hopefully some of us can find a connection or two prior to release.
If my store gets them in, as long as 1 box makes it to the floor, I can hold/buy as much as I wanted to...

So, I talked to my wife last night regarding the minifigs. Does anyone know where the info is as far as how many per box? We'd love to get these figs, and if it means we have to get a box, then do trades with other people, then so be it!

Cool, sounds like quite a few on the board are interested in going in on boxes and Prim would be a great source since she works at TRU ... shipping costs should actually be fairly low on these too, since we're talking 16 minifigures, which I have to imagine would fit in a small box under 13 oz. which qualifies it for 1st class shipping. Therefore, regardless of where any of us are in the U.S. who are interested, we should be able to split and ship fairly easily, with reimbursements done via Paypal. Perhaps we can start a list ... 3 per box and then either split the leftovers or if there's enough interest go 3 per box plus 1 more when enough boxes are opened if that makes sense.

I'm not sure I understand, BUT, if you tell me what to do, I'll do it :)

Basically it can work one of two ways ... first the source (perhaps Prim or perhaps someone else with access to a box) picks up the box. At that point, two things can happen -

1. the source opens the box and all the bags, divides the minifigures into 3 complete sets and sends them out to people on the board who are interested for a reasonable price (shipping + 1/3 of the box's cost I would say, perhaps a bit more for gas and time)

OR

2. the complete unopened box can be sold to one of us on the board from the source and then we take care of all the dividing, shipping, etc.

The easiest is probably for the source (the one who has easy access to a complete box) to grab their figures and then split and ship the rest to interested parties.

But if someone like Prim has access to a 2nd box and doesn't want to deal with splitting the figures up and working out shipping, I would be fine with buying a complete box from her, paying the shipping cost and then unbagging and splitting up the sets while factoring in the 1/3 of a box cost plus shipping (adding 1/3 of the shipping cost I would pay Prim + whatever the cost is to ship the smaller set out).

I do quite a bit of selling on Amazon and eBay so I have plenty of boxes, a scale, etc. It would be really easy for me to take care of that aspect, I would just need a source for the box itself. Otherwise, as long as everyone is ok with receiving their minifigures opened (let's be real, we can't divide the sets w/o opening the bags) then I think it would be easy to split a box 3 or 4 ways because shipping costs for the divided sets should be low.

No clearance sets at my Kmarts. The Y-wing for example was $68.99 (crazy!). I used a couple of $10 coupons to get some of the smaller sets at around half-price. Well, half of Kmart's price, anyway.

Weird. I decided to go ahead and queue up an order @Amazon for Battle of Endor for $99.99 FSSS due on April 1st. Now when I check the item, the only seller offering it for the same price is Target (with no free shipping). The rest are, of course, the ridiculously overpriced third parties.
Does anyone know where the info is as far as how many per box?
There are 60 per box, which is why three people can get the complete set and then 4 extras.

Awesome, hopefully my Border's got a new shipment because for the last 2-3 months then have had the same few, very few, sets. I would like the $10 Atlantis set for $6 if they have any left on Saturday.

Vintage minifig collection vol 2 is now listed under the S@H sales and deals page for $4.48, but not orderable yet. It got the ninja, so I want one.

It was out of stock when it went on the deals page of S@H just like half of those sets after xmas.

My Kmart only had a Power Miners Rock Wrecker 8963. MSRP $34.99, on sale for $13.00. I was actually hunting for me, not for the kids, so I passed. Might go back though, or pick it up if I find it again at the Clearwater, FL store.

All I can think of is they did that to show the B&M Store the price it should be on sale. I have no clue, really stupid.

Just got back from my Rhode Island Borders and they had a TON of Lego sets. They were stacked everywhere, lots of Atlantis, Toy Story, Star Wars, City and even a few Indiana Jones! I picked up the Toy Story Woody & Buzz to the Rescue for $12 with the coupon. I was SO tempted to pick up Woodys Roundup for $30.... argh!

If anyone sets up a group I am in!

I actually called customer service and asked about this, they said that with such a deep discount, they probably had less then 10 remaining, which is why it ended up on that page.

It's still lame that they put it up and it poofed like that :(

I kind of figured, but one time they had the old Fire Station set up on the web site like that and it came into stock after a few days. Got lucky and got one.

Just read TRU's Doorbuster for 3/26 and 3/27. If any of you want the LEGO books, they are doing B1G1 FREE. My local TRU has a few of them including the Star Wars and Minifigure book. I'm thinking Christmas/Bday presents for my nephews or friends who are AFOLers. Ha!

Nice. I'll check it out, although I don't remember seeing any the last time I was there.

I picked up a Fire Station 7208 @ Border's w/40% off coupon. I dunno if I will keep it, though. I think Borders only gets new shipments of toys once a month (if that) as my local store seemed to have the just same stuff they had since last month. I have a funny feeling they'll only get a new shipment after the coupon expires, especially since this weekend's coupon is only good for today and Saturday. Even if I miss something this weekend, I still wouldn't mind getting a bigger PoP set w/30% off if they happen to get them in next week. As for the other big Lego sale this weekend, I may give up on TRU since my local store's markup can be crazy high, negating even a B1G1 50% off sale for me. Plus, they tend to sell out of the popular stuff immediately during a sale (like last week's Chrome Stormie deal--they were gone on the day the sale started). I'll still end up checking the website Saturday night though. >_

Looked in the paper when I was at work tonight (Seattle times puts out a early sunday paper on saturday, yay!) Target has the Freeco Speeder and something else on sale for $20 (normally $25) and Fred Meyer has the Freeco speeder and the Tri-fighter for $19.99 (both normally $25).

I'll post what the other set at target was when I get home tomorrow.

edit: I should probably mention that these are sales that start Sunday...

I just came back from TRU and all the PoP sets were MSRP! I hope there's some left for tomorrow's sale.

I was @ TRU yesterday afternoon and none of the PoP sets were on the shelves. Unfortunately, I can't go on Sunday, but I'll try and check on Monday.

Kmart has buy 2 get 1 free on all Lego this week. Should work online, too, although the big ticket items are not available. They do have some of the new games sets as well. Not sure if you can mix or match.

Can you stack the $10 off $20 coupon with that promotion? That way you could get three $10 sets for nearly the price of one.

I'm pretty sure that $10 off $20 coupon was killed by Kmart corporate almost immediately and has been all but outlawed in stores, so stacking with that would be a major ymmv.

I checked the Kmart ad and it actually says "Buy One Get One Free (equal or lesser value)"! I am going to check it out this morning.

Also, Target's ad mentions that other Star Wars and Atlantis sets are discounted this week besides the Freeco Speeder and Typhoon Turbo Sub. Discount for those two are only $5, so I'd expect similar savings on whatever else they have marked down this week.

Wow, lots of deals this week. I really hope they put out some PoP sets @ Kmart, but my local store's inventory is really weak compared to other places and the prices are marked up pretty high as well so I dunno...

Online ad for my mom's zip shows buy 2 get 1 free. You would be so lucky if yours says Buy one get one free.

Has anyone else been able to find a Pop at Tru that works with the bogo 50% sale??

Huh, interesting. The ad in my paper stated, and I also verified in-store that the deal was B1G1 Free. Of course, the Kmart I went to had a rather poor selection of smaller, sets that all had a markup of $2 or more. I ended up getting a Magma Mech and King's Battle Chariot, though. I'll probably try again at a different Kmart later this week in case they get any PoP sets in.

Edit: forgot to mention that Borders extended the 40% off coupon to last until the end of today--sorry, it's probably too late for some of you by now. :p

Went to TRU to check their B1G1 50% off sale..

TRUs prices are inflated, so if you want to just get one set and a smaller filler it's not worth it at all. I picked up the Creator Beach House and it was like $34.99 there and I got it for $28.99 at Target...

I was at my local Borders and remembered the 40% off coupon while I was there- but I guess it's too late to go back.. Rats..

Maybe next time!!!

Our kmart is B2G1 free.

Went to TRU, all PoP gone! Grabbed the atlantis squid and the turtle.

Used my 40% on Space police purple hijack car... but I was able to find another Borders to tap into that is a bit closer.

Kinda sad to see all the PoP gone, I would have grabbed the two small sets.

I guess it's just in Hawaii then. Don't feel too badly because our Kmarts have a rather limited selection of Legos and they are marked up a lot in comparison.

As for PoP, not sure if it's that none of the store have gotten their shipments yet or if it's just that they are really afraid of breaking street date, but I haven't seen any PoP in stock anywhere this weekend.

I'm hoping that adherence to street date is what is keeping the sets off the store shelves here as I'll have a little better chance of picking them up on sale later this week.

I was able to return and rebuy 2 of the PoP sets I picked up last week at TRU today, after using the $10 TRU credit card coupon I received last week, the total came out to $76.76 for the Battle of Alamut and $27.01 for the Quest Against Time after tax.

I noticed the PoP sets were completely gone today, as I had previously seen all of them.

I ended up returning the Ostrich set last week because I want to grab it at Borders eventually. I passed on the Fight for the Dagger set (poor man's Alamut imo) but I did grab and open the Desert Attack set last week.

I highly recommend the Desert Attack set for a couple reasons ... you get a nice variety of minifigures ... the spiked shoulder pads on one of the bad guys are awesome, as are his wolverine claws. It's just a nice little set for $10.

The cool thing about PoP at TRU right now is that they are all MSRP, so if you can find them they are a great deal during this week's sale. Oh and most of the TRUs should have these, but may be in the back ... they aren't banned from sale (bought them easily at 2 different TRUs) so you just have to convince an associate to bring them out ... maybe say a friend bought a few already from another TRU or tell them LEGO is already selling them through their website and they are on the TRU website for sale.

My local TRU has shelf tags up for POP but no sets...it may look like they were sold out but maybe they just haven't stocked them yet.

I bought some Megabloks tonight ... I feel kinda dirty

I think it was the fact that the Target set for Iron Man 2 supposedly has an exclusive War Machine figure ... but I still feel kinda dirty

Well, couldn't justify keeping the Mega Bloks Iron Man set ... I was afraid of the Mega Bloks getting mixed in with my LEGOs and somehow polluting them ;)

This.

I sold or separately boxed the few Mega Bloks sets I had a few months ago, just to avoid such contamination.

Looks like Amazon is matching the Target sale this week: Freeco Speeder and Typhoon Turbo Sub both $20, among other discounts.
