Heyyy, so I'm going to be interviewed today (filmed) about LBP and other Sony stuff. I'm going to discuss some of the great action packed levels that are in LBP and would like to know if anyone has any recommendations (something I can try out right now) and if it is really good I'll likely mention it in the interview (which will get ur level on the official blog, maybe tv and other places) let me know asap if you have any action levels you created or know someone that has. Thanks!!!

any one well versed in the download content care to mention weather the new goty edition is worth it?

the new one comes with 18 hand made additional levels, and some dl packs for costumes.

is that worth about $20 really, i know monetarily it is, but what would you buy? ~$40 for the standard, or $60 for the goty?

I don't have the game, but I'm ordering this game.

I think the thing is worth it.. The Metal Gear Solid pack and costumes look cool, along with that paint gun. I really like the animal costumes. Costumes are definitely NOT worth $1.99 or more, considering you can get a whole game for $1 for the iPhone.

After I buy it, I am probably not going to buy any costumes, so I thought this would be nice to get them all in a special GOTY edition.

This isn't really an incentive to pay more money, but a nice bonus is that it has the ModNationRacers demo voucher code included. I am super psyched about that game, I can hardly wait for it to come out. It'll be nice to play the demo and see if it's as good as it looks on the video.

I wish this game had that water pack. Anyone know if that water pack is going to be free or cost money? I hope it doesn't cost money. If it does cost money, and someone bought it and made a level, and I don't have it, can I still get their level?

Too bad LBP demo didn't come out before the game was released like most 360 titles.

When I started my slim for the first time, and went to the PS Store, the first thing I noticed was the lack of demos for games I wanted to try on the PS3. At least MGS4 and Ninja Storm was there.

So...did the GOTY version come out today? Anyone pick it up? I'm very interested in going to BB after work and using at as part of the b1g1 50% deal

He's making a pirate level? But how can you make a pirate level without water ;)

He made a pirate level awhile back.

Well, color me disappointed. I was really, REALLY hoping the GOTY DLC content would include the limited time costumes (astronaut, Chinese New Year's, St. Patrick's Day, etc.)

The GOTY exclusive community levels are interesting, but I'm assuming that players can join GOTY owners just like people who don't own MGS add-ons can join people who do own it.

I already have the MGS add-on, so the only thing left that interests me is the ModNation Racers beta code. I'll just wait for the game instead of go through the trouble of selling my orig. LBP & then paying extra for LBP GOTY.

So wait, can I still play the levels from the GotY version of the game? No way I am rebuying it just to play 18 new levels, but I'm curious.

Not sure if this qualifies as PSN related or LBP related, but there is now a dynamic theme up on the Playstation Store in the US of Sackboy. It's just him running and jumping on Little Big Planet with other animated parts in the background and LBP themed icons for the XMB.

Right now on my PS3 the 'sun' is rotating on the left side of the screen and clouds are swinging back and forth besides Sackboy running and jumping on LBP.

Very interesting little animated theme and well worth the $3 they're charging imo.

Holy crap, there is 6" snow in hell, and pigs are flying north for the winter--cheapest spent $3 on useless crap! Never thought I'd see the day :))

Anyway, just got the GOTY edition today and my ModNation Racers code doesn't work WTF :(

According to this, the beta doesn't actually start until December 9th.
I'm tempted to just sell my ModNation code. Does this game seem like it's worth playing?
There is one going on eBay right now for $10+ with 3 days left. I'm also tempted to sell mine.

I love LBP!

It's one of my favorite games ever, was very pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was last year.

I recently started playing it again after showing it off to a bunch of my future nephews and nieces this summer, I've just put it on hold since Dissidia came out, heh heh.

The GOTY edition sounds pretty cool, but I won't be getting it since I already have the game and some of the DLC included in it.

It was fun, but I haven't touched it since I beat it. I play with friends and fam when they want to, but never by myself. I wished a little more emphasis was placed on single play in the story, It was so sort.

Definitely to be played with others.

I am currently going through the Metal Gear pack. Need to ace the levels, get the VR score... dunno what else. The hard ones are left! :D

I hated playing this game with others. Well online was fun but in the same room I get frustrated cause everyone kept dying. They all just drag me down!! Don't touch my score bubbles!!

I just got my PS3 yesterday and downloaded the demo. Part of me wants to like it but the demo was a bit disappointing. I like the charm of it but the levels seemed sort of boring. Is it one of those cases where the demo doesn't do the full game justice?

What levels were in the demo? The levels start off pretty simple but really get a lot more complex as you get through the game. I haven't played the demo, but I really doubt it can give people a good picture of LBP.

I was also bored by the demo, but the game is fun.

Thanks for the responses. Of the demo, I've only played the first two levels. It just feels like I'm walking around to finish the level. Part of me wants to like it because of the charm, I just can't tell if it will hold my interest because I'm not sure if I'll care to create levels.

The levels definitely get more complex and challenging. There are also tons of cool user levels to play that will blow your mind. If you have broadband and can play with other people and d/l levels, I would definitely give it a try. You can probably find the original edition pretty cheap if you look around.

Last I saw, the original edition was $40 +-$5. I got the GOTY edition and it's nice. I'm glad it came with all the costumes and the Metal Gear Solid costumes and levels b/c I probably wouldn't buy them piece meal.

Anyway, I need some people to play with to get some of the 2x prizes where you need 2 players. Send me a friend request if you feel like it, please mention you're from CAG and your CAG UID.

I'm in the same boat. I just downloaded the demo and played it last night. It was Ok, cute and fun...I'm guessing the full game is way more interesting.

For people who have LBP or the new GOTY edition, is the extra content on the GOTY edition worth it? Or will a used copy under $30 make me just as happy?

Thanks!

Considering the GOTY is nearly $30 more I would just go with the original. Here is the bonus content:

 • 18 new levels made by players just like you
 • 7 different content packs
 • Exclusive access to the upcoming ModNation Online beta
If it was a small difference I'd go with the GOTY of course but at nearly half the price I'd just buy the original...

the DLC included is worth $20 - $30, though, and it seems that the modnation codes are going for about $20 on fleabay. That makes it the GOTY edition a pretty good deal.
