"LIVE Diamond Card" Expires 2008 with a new Annual Fee (credit card required)

3 months after signing up, I emailed them (this past Friday night)... I received it Monday. Sure, I'm in Seattle, hella close to Microsoft, but overnight is impressive.
it took forever, and when I went to quiznos, they didnt know what the hell i was talking about.
You have to print the coupon from the Xbox Live Diamond card site first, then show your card when you redeem the coupon.

I just got my 360 and signed up for this, are people still receiving these? If so, how long did it take?

I tried to google information about this damn card but I get the distinct impression it might be one of those things MS thought was a good idea a year ago but has kind of forgotten about.

Ok so I actually called live support the other day to activate my extended warranty, and I asked about getting a Diamond card.

The guy told me that I have to be a live gold subscriber for a year first, before I can get one. Is this true?

I explained to him that I am pre-paid for a year, but he said that doesn't matter, after my 12th month I can get a Diamond card. Anyone know what the hell he is talking about?

Yup, it's the same BS that's preventing me from getting one outright. Supposedly I'm in the system and yet I won't get the card until I'm over a year. However, it shouldn't matter since I was already a year in when I signed up and they're still dragging their feet on the card.

It's upsetting but keep hastling them via e-mail and give them a phone call once they send that back to you as an option. Then, hopefully, it goes somewhere. It's a real pain in the ass but the end result is worth it.
Has anyone even used their card yet? Mine's just burning a whole in my wallet.
Nope not at all... ever

I don't want to use it. I want to keep it in my wallet to whip out and impress crowds of geeks like at this GameStop Gears of War preview.

???

I joined XBL for the first time in January, and signed up for Diamond the day it was announced. (So, obviously, I wasn't a gold member for a year.) And made it into the second wave of cards. Now, maybe because the 360 (and thus, XBLGold) have been out 11 months, they may have changed the rules (they were flooded when they first announced this).

And, after all this time, I have only used the card to show others what a geek I am. (I have loaned it to coworkers so they could get Quiznos, though; it's not like my driver's license says "PlumeNoir" either.)

The Gamestop glitch from about a month ago was good for it. But you only needed someone else's gamertag.

Never got mine. I've had Live since the beginning and I signed up when the cards first became available. I'll probably ask MS when I call in to get the warranty.

I just recieved the xbox live diamond in the mail, even though I ordered it last november. Does anyone use this, and what are some of the good deals.
I still havent used this thing. Its been sitting in my wallet for a year and a half untouched. Atleast it looks cool :p
yea, same here. can't think of a time i'll use it, but having your gamertag on a card is pretty kickass.
... Signed up for it the day it came out and nothing of use has come of it
I did too , I ended up getting a second one somehow as well .

I actually used my Diamond card yesterday "Rent 1 Get 1 Free Coupon for Movie Gallery. Movie Gallery's regular site's "Rent 1 Get 1 free coupon" excludes Wii, PS3, & 360 rentals but not the Diamond card version on Xbox.com.

They also have a "Rent 1 Get 1 free" coupon for HollyWood Video. And there is some "decent" buy 1 get 1 free restaurant deals.

As far as people not getting their card, i had to sign up 3 times. I guess 3rd time is the charm.

there is some flaw with their system. I tried to signup and connect my gt to my email and it never sent me the confirmation email. Same type issue here, no real benefit for them so they don't "tax" their servers

I have had one since they came out. I don't know if i took it off the paper it came on or not. I got a new one some time ago. Don't think I took it off of the paper also. I have never used them and now I don't even know where they are.

I bought shoes. It was nice. I have to look really hard to find shoes. Usually order them online. Size 15 sucks. 20% off is a great deal. Well for my shoe buying needs it is at least.

It's actually got some good deal on AMC Theatre tickets

The tickets here are 10.50 for a night showing, but with that card they run 6.75 :)

Just got mines today and totally forgot about it even coming. Took about four months to get here. Oh well..after looking at the offers they give, doesn't seem like much. The AMC silver ticket is like $6.35 and shipping is like $6.50, more than the item.
I think mine expires this month if I remember correctly. Has any one had a new one mailed out to them?
i've had a new one mailed to me after i had to change my xbox live gamer tag.

I have had mine for a while now but have never used it. I always think that the people working at the stores will not know what it is, and then I will have to explain it, etc. It just seems like a hastle I will not want to go through. Perhaps the online deals are something I can take advantage of.

i use mine often. usually for carl's jr. BOGO on western bacon cheeseburger or bbq chicken sandwich. thems good tastin' food!
