Sure Perdo is great, but to say someone has no shot at having an outstanding year, is a little too much. AJ Burnett? Shawn Chacon? Aaron Small? Why not let Bronson have a great year, then go back to mediocrity?
Sure he has a high career ERA, great. Does that mean he can't have a season under 4.00? No it doesn't. I'm not saying he is going to win the Cy Young any time soon, I'm just saying he is crapped on too much.
Sure the Reds will come back down to Earth, but this is their best season start in franchise history. Even better than any of the teams during the Big Red Machine era. This team shouldn't be taken lightly though, thats for sure.
I dunno where you live, but here in Boston, the fans and some of the media are dumping on the sox for trading bronson for willie mo. While I am no huge fan of willie mo, he is 24, a lot of potential and just needs the time to develop as the past couple years he has been

ed out of ab's due to not being able to be sent down the double or triple a. Arroyo, in Boston wasn't going to get much better, and I personally didn't like the fact that before/after a game he pitched in fenway, he was performing at a club behind fenway. His music was worse then his career mlb numbers, and imo he

ed us last year. They were paying him to work 3/4 a year on baseball, and concentrating so much on his music career imo affected his concentration and effort on baseball. I listen to weei daily at work, and if I hear another fan call in about how great bronson is, with his solid record so far, I think I may loose it. The same shit happened last year when derek lowe started the season. He was dominant the first 7 or 8 games for the dodgers last year, and then he came back down to reality. I don't get the Aj Burnett argument, he is a career below .500 pitcher. Yes he has great stuff, but so doesn't matt clement and just because the have great stuff, it doesn't mean they will be great pitchers. Look at maddux, or oreal hershiers they both lived off of pitching to the glove. Not great stuff, just accurate.
