Lois Lane Smallville Topic (Season 8 DVD/Blu 8/25, Season 9 Premiere Friday 9/25)
still waiting for my season 6 hd dvd's!!
According to "Tammy" at Warner they might finally ship them this week..... I believe that as much as John Cena retaining the title at No Mercy this weekend at this point.

A big prob with Smallville is the bad guy lays the smackdown on Clark, and theres the itty bittiest of fights and in one hit/shot/w/e, Clark prevails.

Granted the Bizarro fight was a little more, I think it could have been better. Safe to say he's comming back at some point?

Bizarro is gone? I thought he was
evil Clark
. Just like saying Superman is gone when he is Clark?

No, Bizarro is a phantom. Martian Manhunter had a whole lil backstory for him.

It irks me a bit that, I dont remember the exact season, and Im too lazy to go look it up, but when Jor-El used Kara as bait to get Clark to do what he was suppose to do, now they bring her in as someone that "cant be trusted".

I must have missed an episode or just havent paid attn but last time Clark was in the fortress, Jor-El shut it down cause Clark didnt finish his training and it became unresponsive to him. When did it fire back up? I figured there would have been some "drama" with Clark going back and blah blah...

Ok. After watching last night, Im lost...

We know the deal with the recent Lana saga. In last nights show, Kara used a power in front of Lana and Lana acted like it was no big deal and made a mention of she knew what side of the family that came from.

I guess I missed something along the way but when the hell did Lana officially know about Clark's powers? They had a small discussion and Clark talked freely about it to her....

While Im at it, wild theory by I say the Lana that came back is the clone and was re-programmed to get in close with Clark. Just saying is all......

During the Lex/Lana wedding episode last season Lana saw Clark use his heat vision while fixing the wine celler door at the Luthor mansion. She kepted it to herself until the end of the season when she finally told Clark that she thought he was meteor infected. He told her that he was from Krypton. Or something like that.

Could be - but it would have to be more sophisticated than a clone since she had all her memories and the clone knew Clark was an alien. Wouldnt need to get close to him to figure out the secret if the clone knew already, i think.

Michael Rosenbaum has already said that the 7th season would be the last for the character, he said that years ago.

Is anybody else of the opinion that this season of Smallville is akin to season six of 24 (in other words, REALLY BAD)? It seems like they're throwing in everything but the kitchen sink and hoping something sticks. It's becoming painful to watch.

i don't think it has been great...but imo it is doing a better job of moving the life of clark kent forward better then previous seasons...It has been a lot better in proportion to other seasons of smallville then season 6 of 24 was.

RE: Ryan's spoiler- (not referencing the spoiler, but the date mentioned) That's actually the finale. The first new episode since the strike airs a week from tomorrow.

Unless something happened in the last few days, I haven't heard of anyone other than Michael Rosenbaum publicly stating that they wouldn't sign on after season 7. In fact, I just read that Kristin Kreuk will likely be on for at least a portion of season 8, although none of this will be fully confirmed until the CW makes a statement about it in May.

No, I think he's right. There were three more episodes from before the strike that will air starting next week, and then when April 17th comes, we get the five post-strike episodes they're making.

i was taking everything from the tvguide page...it is a fact that the first post strike written show will be on the 17th...here is some more info on smallville

Smallville

Three remaining pre-strike episodes will air March 13, 20 and 27. Expected to shoot 5 additional episodes to begin airing on April 17. Already renewed for next season.

Tonights episode SUCKED...it was nice to see Pete again but this episode wasnt much diff from Clark saving Pete's ass when he was drag racing.

Tonight wasn't an episode, it was an hour long commercial for Stride gum. Which really DOES last long but too bad I chew the blue one and not the green.

True.

I've beenw atching every week. No more new episodes til April 17th, though.

So, is Lana dead? Brainiac said he could reverse the process, but he appeared to be the one communicating via Lana that "You're too late, Kal-El."

Okay episode tonight. I'm betting this season is ending with Darkseid. Makes sense with Kara being there and Lionel being afraid of whats coming. If it was Zod he would just say he's coming back.

About the upcoming death, I put money on Lionel after his speech about redeeming himself. Or Chloe, she hasn't signed on for next season yet. Lana is signed on for part of next season.

IMO, last nights episode was fucking horrible...didnt the teasers from the previous week hint at lex at the fortress of solitude...and why the fuck are they spending so much time with jimmy fucking olsen. I was so looking forward to this episode with the way things went down the previous one, and the trailer at the end.

Eh I wasn't surprised. I'm betting Lex at the FoS will in the last 15 mins of the season finale before this years cliffhanger. I did find it hilarious when they put their sell phones on the table and they had stride gum on the table too.

I also found that gum funny. Selling out, indeed! :)

Next week's episode should be great to watch tho. Every season of smallville has its bad episodes, just put them aside.

:)

Jimmy Olsen doing his best James Bond impression, ugh. Shit better get better than that. Plus, is it me or does this show have more product placement than any other? The stride gum placements are the worst, that episode with Pete was just one long ad for the gum.

Michael Rosenbaum by Kharen Hill/The CW

A joint statement from Smallville's new quartet of show runners, the CW and Warner Bros. Television pays proper due to Michael Rosenbaum, who won't be returning next season as a series regular. "It has been an honor and pleasure to work with Michael. He is one of the best actors on television and has never failed to bring a new layer to the character of Lex Luthor in every episode," says the missive. "While... we won’t have the pleasure of working with him on a weekly basis this fall, we like to think that we haven’t seen the last of Lex Luthor. Stay tuned." (In comments: Michael Rosenbaum's letter to fans and friends.)

The Smallville bosses go on to tease a new breed of villainy for Season 8, including the arrival of Doomsday, "the legendary, unstoppable destroyer" who will present Clark with "his ultimate challenge." (Doomsday, of course, is the only character in the DC Comics universe to have killed Superman.)

Also to be cast for S8 is a female villain who "will be familiar to many fans and will set her sights on Clark in ways Lex never could. Intelligent, brilliantly manipulative, and dangerously sinister, [she] has one more weapon in her arsenal: Her mutual attraction with Clark may prove to be as deadly as kryptonite."

As for Allison Mack's own Season 8 status, sources tell me "Chloe" and the show are still in talks. — MWM

Allison Mack in Smallville by Michael Courtney/The CW

It looks like Smallville's about to take another, potentially lethal, hit.

Just a week after it was announced that Michael Rosenbaum would not be returning full time as Lex next season, sources confirm to me exclusively that Allison Mack, arguably Smallville's most popular heroine, may be the next to go.

This marks quite a turnaround from a few months ago, when I deemed Mack a lock to come back next season. And I wasn't the only one. Although a deal wasn't signed at the time, Smallville insiders tell me that all indications were that the actress was on board for Season 8.

But then Rosenbaum terndered his resignation and everything fell apart.

"Allison's camp used Michael leaving as leverage in the negotiations with [Warner Bros.]," says one Smallville source, who adds that Kristin Kreuk's decision to only return for a handful of episodes as Lana only strengthened Mack's bargaining position. "They need Chloe now more than ever — and Allison's people know it." (Mack's reps declined to comment for this story.)

But will the studio suits budge? In this climate, with ratings down by double digits and belt-tightening going on everywhere, no one is optimistic. However, everyone pretty much agrees about one thing: Smallville can't afford to lose Mack right now. "If Allison leaves, they've essentially got Lois and Clark left," notes one insider. "And that show's been done before."

So, what do you think? Should Warner Bros. man up and give Mack what she's probably been worth all along? Or are you OK with Smallville turning into Lois & Clark: The Early Years? Sound off below!

If Chloe is gone the series is done, Lois just isn't interesting enough to keep it going. And that is ignoring the fact that without Lex around I have no reason to really watch the show anymore. They really fucked up by not just ending the show this season like they planned back in the day.
