Hey, not to bring anything up in this thread but I just realized something.

Didnt Ian himself say that they built the online franchise in a way that allows them to constantly update it due to user feedback? Ahhhh....where the hell a real FA, a real salary cap a real franchise in general.

God damn this game fails on so many levels. Sorry didnt mean to just bust in with a negative comment but when Matt asked about the trade we did like 3 months ago it made me remember when Ian lied and said they would add features later.
 
Well the Red ring of death ruins the Super Bowl. BigAt and I had a good game going. I held him on defense, I drove down the field and was on the 7 yard line with 3rd and 4 with about 1:40 till halftime and then my xbox got the 3 red lights on the circle. Keep in mind I had sent it back about 8 months ago and paid $75 to have it fixed. I think this may be the final blow, not to mention all the crappy xbox live drops for no reason. Sounds like a PS3 is in my future.

CLASSIC! lol. Could there be a more fitting end to this season? That shit is almost poetic.

Azu, I was planning to drop and trade in the game after this season, but I think I'll stick around as the Cowboys if we are going to have hard deadlines.
 
I was hoping to win two Super Bowls in the same night, but it wasn't meant to be. Does someone want to take control of the Raiders for the game? There's no way I'm going to meaninglessly destroy the CPU for the Super Bowl.

Ramesu would seem to be the most deserving of a shot. He is the remaining AFC team that made it the farthest. Plus, we played a crazy game that ended 8 to 6 (he won) during the regular season.
 
That sounds like a good idea.

Ivanhood, the draft might be little ugly with all those trades, but after that I'm looking to map out the entire schedule. Then I'll get people to yell at me for forgetting lots of American holidays. Then I'll refine it and we'll be underway. The playoffs will hopefully only be a day or 2.
 
Giants win the Super Bowl in OT, 24-21 over the Raiders....this season is finally done.

When I learned of the league I wanted to use the Raiders, but MikeJones already had them so, I was wondering if I could take them over from here on in....
 
For all the shittiness that led up to the Super Bowl, the game itself was actually fantastic.

The game went back and forth the entire time. We literally traded scores throughout. Ramesu got on the board first with a 54 yard touchdown pass, which I was able to match shortly afterward after Brandon Jacobs busted a 69 yard touchdown run. 7-7

Unfortunately, the Raiders took the following kickoff back for a touchdown. Thankfully, I was able to force an interception after sniffing out a screen pass and punched it in for a touchdown right before the half ended. 14-14

McFadden burned me for a 71 yard touchdown run, then rookie Andre Brown had a 22 yarder of his own. 21-21

I was deep in Raiders territory with under two minutes left, but Ramesu stopped me on three straight downs and used his three timeouts. I kicked a field goal and he was left with 1:36 and no timeouts to drive down field and tie it up. He put together a very good drive and was able to tie it up with a FG essentially as regulation ended. 24-24

I won the coin toss in overtime thankfully. After regulation, I was pretty sure whoever won the toss would win the game. I was able to drive down the field and put the winning field goal through. 27-24 Giants win.

Great game by Ramesu.

I have advanced us into the offseason!

We need to figure out the following before the Rookie Draft:

1) Current Members Changing Teams
2) New Players
3) How draft pick trades will be dealt with!

I'll be posting all the current teams taken with AVAILABLE TEAMS IN BOLD in the OP.
 
Azu, Have you figured out what day of the week you would probably want to do the draft and other than my team who else is owed draft picks in our league ? I looked on the franchise page and the picks owed to me are picks 7 and 8 ( Bengals and Dolphins )
 
Not sure about the draft time yet. I'm hoping everyone remaining in the league knows what picks the owe/should be getting.
I'm thinking sometime next week or perhaps this Saturday...
 
Ok cool that works for me Saturday or next week , i was at home praying it wasn't tomorrow, because i want to be there i hate the draft board thing on madden it never gets me who i want unless i take like three hours and set it up, lol
 
Assuming you mean 9PM est, I will be @ a Wizards game, but I'm not pressed about being present for the draft, I just wanna get it done and start playing games again...
 
How about earlier in the day Saturday? There's no more college football so more people should be free and a lot of people go out on Saturday nights (myself definitely included).

I'm good for that. I normally go out on Saturdays but I've been ill all week.
Anybody have ideas with what to do about draft picks? As in, people that have left?
 
3pm eastern is cool with me Azu , can i have two of my friends join the league to make the picks thats owed to me than drop out after and you can just add and release the players after the draft ?
 
Yeah thats ok by me. Nobody seems interested in the Dolphins/Bengals anyway.
My only concern is that people don't know about the draft. I will PM everyone remaining in the league to tell them about it though.

Is 4 o'clock ok with you guys?
 
4 is cool. Browns try to get me that list of players if you're not going to make it. Or I'll just use my best judgment like you said.
 
I'll update the OP in a second. I sent PMs to everyone except for BigAT and Ivan Hood because I know it already works for both of you.

If I can get a good QB in the first round, I'll stick with the Vikings. I love my team and I don't want to leave them. But I can't handle another season of 70 OVR Daunte Culpepper...

Is that ok with you guys?
 
Here's a potential schedule for the season. There are a couple long weeks during christmas holidays in case anybody is away for a while.
Most weeks are 4 days, some are 3 and some at the end are only 2 (I know thats short but it worked brilliantly in seens league).

Yep. So I guess even if I had Brett Favre last year, he'd be retired now...

Also, if those 2 over 80+ QBs are gone by the time I draft, I'm going to be pretty pissed. None of those teams need a QB except for Tampa Bay.
