Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

Doom ill be on around 2 230 if u wanna get this rivalry on the way....... chiefs need to stop them damn raiders from winning the devision 3 seasons in a row

I'm so fucking over Madden. I've gotten 0 enjoyment out of playing it these past few weeks. GG Cru. As soon as I fumbled it on that scoring drive in the first half I knew the game was over. You just can't recover from a thing like that. 14 point swing in the opposite direction.

edit: That's not to say I'm losing interest in running the league. I enjoy that. For whatever reason all the games I've played lately have just been super frustrating. It just completely sucks feeling I have little to do with the outcome of the game I'm playing.

Yea Good Game, that fumble def turned the tide in this one, My defense was on our heels until then, Than it seemed like we picked up from there on out.

I'm back now. was gone away for my grandmothers funeral. Who ever needs to play me let me know when you want to do it.

edit
I just tried to log into the franchise and it looks like I was booted.

Hey guys I wanted to give you a update on whats been going on. Sorry I havent been on the forums in a couple of weeks, I have been going through a really hard time and just havent been in the mood for anything. I just wanted to give you guys an update and sorry about the lack of communication, but like I said just havent been in the mood to do anything.

I still plan to come back at somepoint (start of next season) I dont know where my teams stand, but I wanted to let you guys know.

Gg Biggie, I can't complain about a single thing that game...I actually got a ton of lucky breaks but I still lost the game. I threw a pass that should have 100% been an interception (it was a curl route where the defender was actually in front of my receiver but the ball went past him somehow) and one of those crazy runs where the running back breaks out of a 5-man gang tackle. Those resulted in 10 of my 17 points of the game, so I should have lost by a lot more.

I did follow through on my word of running down his throat though! Although 54 of those yards came on that aforementioned crazy run play. I did a pretty good job stopping the run on my part, although my rush defense definitely struggled more in the second half partially due to Jon Beason getting injured for the game with 3 seconds left in the first half :( He jumped in the air to intercept a ball and got injured on his way down by a dirty play from a dirty Giants player.

"Tuner Sets", introduced in the NHL series and brought into NCAA Football last year, are hugely important to the development of sports games in that they allow us to tune and tweak many existing parts of game code without the major delay that comes from a full title update requiring 1st party console manufacturer approvals. A quick addition to my hacked surprise onside kick code made this feature easily tunable post-ship, and thus much safer against any exploits that may crop up. This isn't the only thing in the tuner sets obviously...we are in the process of moving as many items into these as possible, from gameplay tuning to franchise data to even presentation aspects. We are excited to the possibilities this will open up to our fans in being able to provide live feedback and having us act on it in near real-time. The days of shipping a disc in a box and forgetting about it are long gone, and we want to be at the forefront of blazing new trails in reacting to our audience and improving the game quickly.

Well, that's it Madden fans. We hope you've enjoyed this halftime blog for Madden NFL 12. I would have loved to go into more detail about the improvements and additions to things like franchise mode (some nice big tidbits coming there), online, presentation or many other areas, but alas, it's only February, and we have a LONG way to go! This is merely a slight taste of what's to come. In the meantime, feel free to hop over to our official EA forums and talk about these new features. Do you like the addition of the surprise onside kick? How about tuner sets? We are always interested in hearing and reading your feedback.

Nice some good stuff in that blogpost. As someone who plays the shit of franchise mode I really hope they plan on making some real improvements in Madden 12. The franchise mode in Madden games from last gen were better. Hell this series is still miles away from perfection as the a.i. still needs a lot of work and netcode is lacking. Also why can't I save my progress in game I'm playing against the cpu if something comes up and I can't finish the game? You could do this in Madden games from last gen but not in this gen. I've seen other sports games like NBA 2k11 that let you do it. But shit I won't be able to stop myself from buying Madden 12 in any case and hell Aaron Rodgers will is likely to be gracing the cover.

Anyway I see a CAG owns the Cardinals but when I enter the franchise in Madden 11 it's giving me the option to play the CPU...what's up with that? Either way I'll shoot a PM to DarthoftheDead to try and set up a time to play as the OP states he's the owner.

he is away right now and can't play his games, I don't know if someone is subbing or if it's cpu

Is anyone up for predraft trade talks I got some players that are good with high potentials I would like to trade for draft pics????

It's probably nothing, but just so everyone knows, there may be some online franchise server issues. I had just finished up with BigAT and when I went to play Ballhawk in this franchise, a message popped up saying the franchise server was unavailable. Strangely, it then loaded the game for me before giving the drop message. We were able to connect just fine after that, though.

Sprice: I may be interested depending on what you're offering, although I'm more interested in trading some of my current players than draft picks.

The game with Ballhawk was really fun and he lived up to his name, coming out of nowhere for a pick six to tie the game up at 7 and getting a nice user pick later on when I tried to get the ball deep to Jennings. Our stats were pretty even in most areas, though he was able to convert more first downs, and I reeled off a couple more big passing plays. Jermichael Finley was the hero for the Packers, with 3 receptions for 207 yards including a touchdowns of 99 and I believe 81 or 91 yards, including the game winner in overtime. Finley had 177 yards after catches.

It seemed like I'd often get a 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 and Ballhawk would stop me on most occasions. To be honest, the game might not have even gone to overtime if not for him missing a 20-something yard field goal, but I'm 99.9% sure the kick meter lagged on him. The same thing happened to me against BigAT on a punt attempt. After a Mason Crosby field goal put Green Bay up 10-7 with 1:03 left in regulation, St. Louis ran the no huddle quite well and Ballhawk, for lack of a better term, bent it like Beckham and nailed a beautiful kick to send it to OT. I managed to stop him after he won the coin toss and later got the ball to Finley to get the much needed win.

Green Bay Packers 16, St. Louis Rams 10 (OT)

Great game, Ballhawk, and thanks for being so quick to contact me about getting the game in.

Chargers-Dolphins scheduled for 9:30 tonight
Is anyone up for predraft trade talks I got some players that are good with high potentials I would like to trade for draft pics????
I have 2 first rounders already (mine and the Seahawks) and a trade in my back pocket which may add a third, so I might be willing to deal one or two of them. Will depend how things shake out closer to the draft though.

Good to know there is slight interest....... matt proposal is the fun part so if ur not into trading picks wat r u looking to trade....... main players I'm looking to find there worth...... is matt cassel tamba hali justin smith glen dorsey possibly dashan goldson more then likely not but offers are wanted..... all I have left is my second round pick lookin for cb or fast tightend I think possibly a power back since thomas jones is ageing... hali and smith are the only a potentials but smith is 32. The rest are low 80s b potentials

Man the rookie draft is one of the funnest parts of the franchise for me...I'd have a tough time parting ways with any of my picks. It's kind of like back when you were a kid and you got a new pack of Pokemon cards...it was so exciting to see what you'd end up with (I might be alone in that analogy!). Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just sim the post-season!

And if you want a fast TE sprice...just take your pick in the next draft. 95% of the TEs are like 80-90 speed...it's pretty dumb actually. Fast TEs should be a rare commodity, but the rookie drafts are messing everything up!

I'll have to look over your roster. I didn't say I wouldn't trade picks; I'm just more interested in dealing players I already have. I don't have much depth at halfback, but I do have fullbacks with power. I can't afford to deal any cornerbacks, and I don't need Cassel, but I'll check on the others. Feel free to make offers if you see a player of mine who you want.

Yeah, play the CPU. He probably won't be back til the offseason.

I'm still traveling and will be probably for another week or 2. BV should be subbing in for me but, I haven't checked the mb regularly so I don't know if something has changed there.

I've been having a ton of apartment issues so I haven't really had time. I can still sub in going forward if its needed.
Allright so I'll go ahead and play the cpu then?
Yeah at this point in the season, I think that's best.

Is someone subbing for the Colts? They may be 2-11, and yes, I got a victory over Indy early in the season, but I had to play and defeat an actual person. Since I'm a game back in the division, I'd hope that the Bears won't get a free CPU win over the Colts if there's anything that can be done about it, but I understand that the primary objective is just getting the season done one way or another. Just wanted to throw that out there, since no one else but me would really have reason to notice.

I am not playing the CPU. XXXplosive1 is the Colts owner and he's back.

Okay; thanks for letting me know. I wasn't trying to screw you over in any way... just wanted to try to hold on to my increasingly slim chances of competing for the NFC North title. :)

I think you have a good shot. To be honest i am not really good with the bears. Just can't get the hang of them yet :p

Dolphins hand the Denver broncos the wild card spot in a brutal asskicking to the Chargers.

Chargers: 63
Dolphins: 28

gg bvharris.

Dolphins lose O. Holliday for 2 weeks, Abdominal Tear
Chargers lose B. Spikes for 3 weeks, Abdominal Tear

Thanks, gg.

Probably the most amazingly efficient offensive performance I've ever had as the Chagers (who've been known to light up the scoreboard from time to time).

Philip Rivers was bananas, b-a-n-a-n-a-s. 17 of 22 for 421 yards and 6TDs. Mathews added 14 carries for 104 yards and 2 scores. Amazingly with all the yards Rivers threw in this one, Vincent Jackson didn't even get a ball thrown in his direction. Everyone else went on a pass catching frenzy.

Chargers defense wasn't exactly stout by any means, giving up 458 yards - anyone who's played the Dolphins won't be surprised to know the breakdown was 461 passing, -3 rushing. :D Still they made stops when they needed to, especially in the 2nd half, and got a couple key picks, including one Ty Warren comically returned for 6.

Chargers move back to .500 with two tough games coming up to close out the season (Sheriff, sprice). We'll see how they can close it out.

I'm not making the playoffs, lol.

Losing Spikes again hurts. The funnier injury was Shaun Phillips coming back after missing the last 11 or so weeks and going out again on the first play, though only for the game. My linebacking corps has been a MASH unit all season.

neither am i, now ;(

GG once again, dolphins defense showed up in miami....forgot to fly to san diego.

was sitting pretty in the wild card slot..a win over you and the patriots...and the guaranteed loss to rames......would have sealed it up. So much for plans;)

Sorry buddy. Maybe the spoiler role suits me, if I play my cards right the next two weeks I can cost Sheriff a bye and sprice the AFC West title.

You have no competition left to win the North at this point since Zurezo said he's not coming back until next season.

i know... I'm not quite sure the playoffs is where I wanna see Mog again. I was hoping siradam would hang on to the six seed but doesn't look like it's gonna work out like that

In a shoot-out the bears defeat the colts 41-35

Cutler was 20/33 for 345 yards - 5 touch downs, and 1 pick.
The bigger story was matt forte. He rushed 13 times for 107 yards.

I NEVER run the ball well as most of you probably know from playing me\seeing my stats.

This is the first time I felt like I played a complete game as the bears (took long enough.. its week 15!)

The bears continue to fight for the NFC north title.

GG xxxplosive! It was close to the very end.

More than Phillips..

Spikes will have played 6 games on the season. When he's been in he's played well though, so I don't regret the trade.

GG, I had guys in position but Forte would break the first tackle and be off to the races. My secondary was too slow to react to the run game and on passing routes.

after so many trades last season I'm not sure if I'm looking to do any this next season or not, gotta wait and see if any retirements jack up my team
