Yeah, lots of good matchups on TV this Sunday: Packers/Jets at 10 A.M.; Titans/Chargers and Vikings/Patriots at 1; Steelers/Saints on SNF.

Rob, I can play if you get back around midnight your time. As you may have noticed, I'm not up all night anymore and I get up early, so I can't stay on too late. I guess, from what you said, you'll be gone all day tomorrow, too.

My main concern is the dropped games and freezing. I checked Operation Sports and GameFAQs, and tons of people were having the same issue I have had for the past couple games- a dropped connection, the opponent getting a message saying the first person quit, and hard system freezes right after. However, all those posts came before the patch. I couldn't find any posts about freezing after the patch, though people are still having games dropped.

As I said, I'm not sure what the cause is. Madden's the only game that does it, and clearly, it's not just my copy. I'm going to clear my cache. One thing in addition to what was said about both players having the newest rosters is that there is the free Ultimate Team DLC out there. Maybe everyone has to have that.

My other theory is that it has something to do with the dashboard preview. There were connection problems in Madden 09 between people with the standard edition and those with the collector's edition, so problems between opponents with 2 different versions of the dash could be the issue. I did play Cru and Eddie at the end of season 1 without incident (and took losses in both, for anyone who thinks I quit in these recent games) and they didn't have the new dashboard, but the thing updates every other day literally, so who knows?

If anyone has any other ideas, let me here 'em. I'm about to do a little more research.

I had to make an emergency trip home to Chicago, and I will not be back until Tuesday night. I dont know when the deadline is, but I wont be able to play till then. Sorry man

Only 1 response about my issue so far on Operation Sports, but I am installing Madden to the HDD just to see if that helps, even though things worked fine without it installed before, and it's not scratched or smudged.

The Chargers couldn't beat a peewee team right now anyway, so I'm not sure Revis will make much difference.

Pacer texted me at 745 and said if redworm wanted to get his game on to boot him because he was at best buy buying new wiring. I checked in here and there were no posts so I let it be.
 
Sorry about the delay redworm, you were great about the whole ordeal. I had my ISP over to improve my connection and then I went to the store to buy a few things they suggested and my connection is great for the time being.

regardless, I recommend any service above Charter.

Obviously, real life issues trump Madden, but redworm didn't criticize or insult Pacer. He just complained about having to wait around. Completely understandable as far as I'm concerned. At least now it seems to have been addressed.

Venom is going to call me when he gets back home in 2-3 hours and we're going to do our game then, or at least try. As I told him, I'll have my camera ready in case we have the same issues so that I can document what shows on my screen, and also as proof that I didn't disconnect if we drop and the game tells him I quit like it did last time.

there weren't any at 745? that's weird

oh well, it was a really interesting game at the end, was down 2+ tds and drove the field with no time outs and scored, onside kick he picked it up but tried to run with it, got a hit stick on him and he fumbled to me, then I drove another quick td, onside kick again but couldn't recover (only had like 5 seconds left at this point)

fun game pacer, too bad randy moss and my top cb are out for a bit :(
 
Giants extract a minor amount of revenge for their playoff loss last year, beating the 49ers on the road 24-17. The two defenses seemed to be in all or nothing mode, with plenty of stops by both teams but every touchdown scored was 49 yards or more. TD scores, in length, were: 49, 49, 77, 80 and 100 yards.

It figures that the close game I could and should have won disconnected Thursday, and then the replay ended up 28-0 to start with. I was barely awake for that game, and it showed. It took place even later than necessary, because Venom didn't call me when he got home like he said he would, so I had no idea he was back because it was earlier than the time he gave me.

I was forced to punt twice near the Vikings 40 yard line, so close to field goal range. Then, on 4th and 1 at the 5, I turned it over on downs and he got a 95 yard TD pass right after. I lost Donald Driver for a while, and Aaron Rodgers went out for the game, killing any chance I had at coming back. Daunte Culpepper threw for 3 TDs and 2 INTs and was better than I had expected him to be.

One other thing that bothered me was that Venom kept trying to run up the score. He always does it in non-league games (in general, not just against me), but I was surprised to see him do it, against me of all people, in a league game. He was up 49-28 with a little over a minute left and gained a first down, so I stopped calling timeouts. He kept running plays trying to score.

Overall, it was a miserable experience, and I lost a game which, on the first try, I would have won. And it turns out my game was crashing because my Madden Moments DLC (the free one) was corrupt. Fantastic.

I had high hopes for this season, but so far, it's been nothing but dropped games and poor sportsmanship.

Yeah, I've been enjoying it a lot so far. I've tried to keep my sessions with it relatively short so that I don't overload on too much frustration at any given moment.
