I think by the second or third season DVO was leading the league in passing with Gabbert at the helm.

Rosters confirmed for early next week. No set date though.

"Final 53 man rosters will also be made available early next week for offline and online Connected Careers giving users the choice to use either roster when starting their Connected Careers experience."

Alright well hopefully we can go after the first patch. Really depends on whether they've fixed the worst in-game bugs.

In other news, I'll be back home today (about to drive back to DC from Atlantic City) so I'm looking forward to getting more than a couple Madden games in finally.
 
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this...

Last night I was just messing around with the Browns, so I decided to play the Eagles.

DeSean Jackson rolled off a pile up on a kick off and ran for an extra 5 yards or so. Thought that was pretty sweet to see.

I also deflected a pass from Mike Vick at the line (he was on his 20). The ball shot back at least 30 yards or so and was ruled a safety lol.
 
Yes I have had that happen with a pile up. Except my friend was on my 5 yard line when he did it. I thought the play was over, but the camera moved like the ball was fumbled yet there was no fumble message. A couple seconds later the running back got up off the pile and ran into the endzone for a TD. I was not amused to say the least.

My only complaint with that the running back was not advancing the ball for a long enough time that any normal play would have been blown dead.

I've also had a receiver go up for a jump ball with a defender and neither of them caught it and fell to the ground. The ball ended up falling on top of them and just sitting there. Eventually another defender came over and picked the ball up and it was ruled an interception. I like how the play continued as long as the ball was still live, but I don't like the inability of the player on the ground to recognize that a live ball is sitting on his chest.

I had a similar play where I tackled a guy, and he landed on top of one of my defensive backs, and therefore wasn't ruled down. But the guy just laid there on his back flailing around like a turtle until my defensive player finally rolled out from under him and he fell to the turf ending the play, lol. That's one of those things with EA where I'm not sure if it makes the game more realistic or less realistic. In theory, it's a good idea...but in practice...ehhh...hahaha.

Plus the packers were gone. I would trade you teams but I already have a few trades in the works plus I want to see what I can do with one of the worst teams in the game guess I need to play this game more I only have played like 4 games the first season will be my warm up season then I will try to get a wildcard spot or just try to win 8 games.

Either the ram's secondary sucks so bad were I'm always getting burnt and DE's are int me or it's the settings lol
 
this game is so glitchy its unreal. it seems like they just added new physics to madden 11. ive taken back over 30 kickoffs n punts since the game came out. this is def a bridge year for madden. theres too many plays that are unstoppable unless ur in the perfect defense. like short passes to running backs n fullbacks. THE TRIPLE OPTION!!! glitch city. some kid ran it on me with jake locker last night for like 150 yards. he pitched it to his slowass white TE for a 70 yd td. i was speechless. the new physics are cool n all, jus way to many glitches n bullshit. hopefully the patch at least puts a dent in the list of problems with this game.....

Yeah, I kinda feel like EA is just too out of touch with the consumer at this point. Their idea of what a good feature is and what actually works is worlds apart. I don't know how many of you play the NHL games, but they added a similar thing to Connected Careers this year, calling it GM Connected. This replaced online leagues...which seemed like a great thing because those leagues were so barebones, with no free agency, drafts, player progression, etc.

But what we've discovered from the early release is that the only option for season length in GM Connected is the full NHL season...82 games. We were hoping for a season length of like 20 games, making it similar to Madden so we could get through multiple seasons. The only option EA gives to accomodate this is to sim the games you don't want to play. But if we're simming 75% of the games, what's the point? But yeah...somebody at EA thought this was a good idea. :wall:
 
All I know is...I've never gotten more than like 2 or 3 yards using the Triple Option (I'm the Panthers, I've tried practicing it a good bit). I've also never returned a punt or kickoff for a TD, but that's probably more of a testament to my lack of skill...since I've ALLOWED about 6 of them in probably 10 games lol.

Nor do you have to defend it. It was the commissioners decision, and no one really had a problem with it at the time. Complaining about it a month later is kind of silly.
 
If I had complained back then for either team that got grandfathered it wouldn't have mattered so I'm just getting it off my chest that both of them should've had to make a top 5. You wouldn't have cared then like you don't care now.

I've got to admit I'm a little surprised that you've claimed the "first one to be an asshole in the thread for no reason" prize for Madden 13. So, way to go I guess.

We had very specific criteria for why it was done, and why it was only those two teams. If people had a major problem with it, we wouldn't have done it, but nobody did. To bitch about it now like it was somehow tyrannically strong-armed through is weak sauce.
