Have you beat the comic mission yet?
I haven't played any of the comic missions yet. Do I have to beat all of them to unlock Surfer?

You have to get a bronze in each one to unlock him.

I keep getting a dirty/damaged disc error after the Kraken fight is over, during the load screen to the next area. Hope I can figure out a fix or something.

Some reason on the Galactus fight a friend and eye keep getting disconnected. I would load the save we would get up to it again and then the same thing. So we both beat it on our own then I created another game after I saved. We have played the game from the beginning and there have been no connection issues. Weird..
On a side note, I am about to beat the game and want to know if you can do the comic missions that you have unlocked after you beat the game itself? Also can you use your leveled up character on hard mode?

Got rid of the dirty disc error, just had to clean the disc. My 360 made a few scratch marks that weren't really scratches, went away with a bit of wiping. Glad I didn't have to exchange it or buy a new copy since I got it from Play-Asia.

I had a very similar problem but I noticed the "scratches" before I put the disk in the x360. I shrugged it off and hoped they wouldn't be a problem. Eventually got the dirty disk error right after I switched Captain America to US Agent. Just like you I decided to try and clean them and sure enough they came off.

So far I've found the Deadpool/Wolverine combination to be extremely deadly. If you add Spider-woman into the mix, you can start stacking the modifier spells to the point of insanity. My Wolverine is level 23 and yet I'm doing anywhere from 90-130 points of Damage using his Claw Attack on Asagard.

Does anyone know of a costume guide for all the characters that shows the 3 abilities of each one? Mainly Silver Surfer, Deadpool, The Thing, and Iceman?
Man.. i can't get the codes to work.. Dare devil code

Where do you enter the code?
At the character select screen.

I got another question: when it says "increases the damage of all melee attacks." Does that mean just your regular A & B moves, or does it also include your powers that are melee attacks too (ie. The Thing's Uppercut move)?

Thanks in advance.

This game is just great, I rented it and since we are not far at all in it I guess I got to go buy it. Anyone know of a good deal... or do you think I might be able to beat it in two rentals? We are just now moving to the next home base, the first was in the office building that was Iron Mans I think.

I got a question for those who are this far:

I just got done with the Mandarin quest, and I went to talk to Weasel (after I said before the Mandarin quest that he should go see the hacker C.B Cebulski), but nothing has changed. I was just wondering if I was doing anything wrong, or when the next objective for this side quest would take place. Thanks in advance.

Has anybody else experienced a load screen that would not continue through/freeze up and get stuck? It just happened to me tonight. I had just beat Arcade and was going back to the base when it got stuck at that screen for 5 minutes. I still have the achievement, but stupid me my last save file is at Stark tower right before the new base.

It's happened to me.

I save CONSTANTLY now.
How in the hell do you beat Mephisto?
Hit him a few times until he produces the sword, push Y a bunch to steal the sword, use the sword to smash one of the statues, repeat repeat repeat.

It's an automatic cutscene... should be the first thing the game does for you.

what do i do then from there? i have the room they start me in, a connector room which is like a tube type thing, then the dive chamber. how do i start swimming?! haha

I think you just jump in the dive chamber, but I might be wrong. I did this a while ago.

Good to know. Should have known as I do that for most eastern/Japanese RPGs anyhow. Just I was having a blast beating the clowns and didn't give it a second though. By the way, playing with Deadpool with his ultimate costume with health regen maxed and one the third option of his (can't remember but I think it was either defense or something else) kicks all kinds of ass. I can go through most levels just with him and the rest of my party dead and win. His buffs rule as well.

To get the nanites you need to press X on one of the consoles in the room and then go near the dive chamber and press x to go out. But be prepared and be warned, Atlantis/ Attuma Nu Ray is extremely slow and boring. I hated that level. It's cool seeing Namor, but it's Namor/Aqua Man for G-d's sake so it's a boring level. The rest of the game is golden though.

Thanks, I finally figured it out but DAMn, Mephisto is a cheap bastard.
Honestly, Bucky's return is awesome. Captain America's comic has been probably one of the best comics in the past couple years. Ed Brubaker has made it awesome. So bringing Bucky back as part of that is perfectly alright in my book. Plus, they recently revealed who Bucky's benefactor is now that he's trying to be good again, and it was awesome. So you can talk all you want about how they retcon everything and it's horrible, but for right now, Bucky being Winter Soldier is fucking awesome.
Agreed. It's awesome and a half. It beats the hell out of that "Return of Jason Todd" BS they're pulling over in Batman.

i need a quick walkthru guys~

i am at the act where i need to fight Arcade.. but where the hell
are the two golden tickets??

i find one at the pinball section but can't seem to find the other one!

i duno if i ve missed to do something but help me out-

thanks!

Rock, Steve, DC you guys wanna play again in the next few days? I'll be on late tonight, but should be on at decent times in the next few days. I'll be trying to work on this before the glut of games in the next few weeks and between Gears of War if I get that.

Did you check the opposite side of the tent? There's a door there too.

So!

Is this a must get for someone who never really got to read the comics much?

My little brother wants to play this on Live. The Wife will be out of town for a bit, so I'm looking for /something/ to play alongside our usual Perfect Dark runs.

Basically wondering if it is buggy, extremely laggy even on broadband (We both have broadband.)

Sorry, got a HW project I gotta do tonight. I'll be on tomorrow though if you still wanna play.

Damn them for not buying their own shit. Been swamped since the weekend, too. I'll hop on and play tomorrow though since I haven't advanced any since the Atlantis level.

Is it in the arcade Pitfall game? I don't remember exactly where the other ticket is at, but I know I didn't have a problem finding it.

Online plays fairly smooth but the response time isn't quite up to offline play. Definitely playable though. You should be fine if you are planning on just the two of you.

The game doesn't require any comic book experience but it would give you a much better appreciation for who each of the characters are and what motivates them. You may have trouble with the shield base trivia games but they're optional. All of the answers to the questions are included in conversations you have through out the game in the shield bases. The only down side would be, for example, if you don't know who the bad guy with the bubble on his head is then you might not understand why there are suddenly so many of them but hardly a big deal. And you don't need to know who Galactus is to know that he is one bad dude.

yes it is. You have to finish the crappy Arcade Pitfall game, the token is at the end of the level.

This is one of the most addicting games I've played on 360. I haven't finished the game yet as another Activision game got in my way, CoD 3, but I keep popping this into my system and the I'm at 2 hours later. I usually start playing only to play a little and then have to finish up the act/mission. The story's pretty good as well for a comic book game.

Downloadable characters and costumes could be coming to Xbox Live. I got a survey in my email asking what characters you would like to be downloadable. I can't wait!

I really should finish it up sometime soon. I'm up to right before fighting Galactus. But I've been waiting cause one of the two friends I've been playing with has been pretty busy lately and she really wanted to do the Galactus fight, so I've been stuck waiting.

I just got this game about a week ago, and I can't stop playing it. It's so much better than I thought it would be. Especially since I only mildly liked the X-Men Legends games.

The only thing I hate about this game is that I feel like I HAVE to use some kind of FAQ because I don't want to miss a character statue / comic disk (since they are essential to unlocking some badasses).

Some of this stuff is hard to find.

So, hi there, no one plays this anymore?

I finally got to Act 4, I was wondering if there was any one in the game you have NEVER used in a team?

Right now, for me, the only person is Storm... I hate the character, not even sure why she's in the game, and I haven't used her once.

There are a lot of characters I haven't used yet, and I'm in Act 3. I've pretty much stuck to my core heroes (Invisible Woman, Ghost Rider, Blade, Captain America, Silver Surfer and Thor). With only minimal switching. I'll probably use different ones in my second playthrough.

Also I just got the game, so I'm playing it all the time!

Doctor Strange - Just looks like a fruit

I usually picked 4 different characters for each mission until I had used them all, but Doctor Strange is the only one I never used.

My favorites when playing single player are Spidey, Wolverine, Captain America, Johnny Storm, Iron Man, Spider Woman, Deadpool and Colosus.

Everytime my brother and I play I get Johnny Storm and he gets Colosus and we just get rid of the other 2 characters. Those 2 are a mean combo.

Yea, I think this game is going to be alot more fun to me replaying it in hard mode when I don't have to worry about finding all the hidden shit in the levels, and I've unlocked all the costumes and I know which ones I want to pour my money into.

I hated Act 3 alot, it was very very boring imo, luckily Act 4 is awesome.

Ugh, hate having to wait to revive someone, I wish I could just pay money to get it over with.

Oooh....Can't wait. Did the survey mention whether they would be made free or if you they would come in a pack with maybe some more missions? really I'm just interested in which characters (Hulk and maybe Punisher please oh please. Hell even the PSP "exclusive" characters would be pretty awesome.).
