I think there's more ME coming before the end of this conference.
Agreed. No substance, barely any flash. When I think "teaser" I think of the me3 video with Shepard looking at Earth, with the explosions going off. It set a tone. This wasn't a teaser. It was a bioware hype reel.

I'll have to agree with this "stop showing us prototype items" trend.BioWare: Mass Effect 4 will reference original trilogy but remain separate
Not much actual information here.
Getting to the point for me where I wish they would just stop talking about the game unless/until they have something specific to say about it.
Loved that timeline. Thanks for posting that. For some reason, I am thinking that BW will go with something close to option #3 above. A lot of people don't think it would be possible, based on the end of ME3, but I would love to see them do something unexpected that "worked".I'll have to agree with this "stop showing us prototype items" trend.
At this point, I can only see three scenarios happening for timeline:
1) Something running parallel to the original trilogy timeline, which runs about 4 or so years in length, if I have my math right. 3 years at the minimum (2 years from ME1 to ME2, 6 months from ME2 to ME3).
2) Something prior to the original trilogy timeline, which has numerous options out there for prequel items.
3) Something after ME3, depending on the outcome of ME3 that is "assumed" to have happened (Destroy? Synthesis?).
Here's a listing of the ME universe timeline from the ME Wikia page:

I think the post-ME3 timeframe for a "sequel" seems the most likely, though since we had three possible outcomes, BW would have to "pick" a "right" choice and have ME4 follow that scenario. Guaranteed to make some people bitch.Loved that timeline. Thanks for posting that. For some reason, I am thinking that BW will go with something close to option #3 above. You can go to Virmire first but I'm pretty sure you have to go to Noveria afterwards before unlocking Ilos.Quick question....
I'm cranking on my ME1 insanity run. I've done Therum and Feros and Virmire has opened up. I've never even thought about skipping Noveria or any of the first three main missions. Can I really skip Noveria and go right to Virmire and forward from there?
So far, the only time I've died was on Feros with the thorian creepers. I brought Liara for singularity (I'm a level 59 soldier) and she can't take a lot of damage, so that tripped me up a bit. I've been using Wrex and Kaiden, it's a decent balance of complimentary powers.
when I did my ME1 Insanity playthrough last year I too was surprised by how easy it was. Maybe it helped that I was a level 60 Adept, but there was barely any real challenge.Update on my question above, the Dude316 is correct. I blew threw Virmire but I still have to do Noveria before Ilos opens up. I don't know if I've just honed my ME skill at this point or what but Insanity in ME1 isn't that bad. I've spent years fearing how crazy hard this would be, but I've had normal difficulty playthroughs that have given me more trouble.
I think from what people that are regulars in here have said, this seems to be the difficulty with ME Insanity runs:I could find my post that I did a long time ago on here when I too found Insanity on Mass Effect 1 to be easier than expected but nobody got time...
Pretty much how I felt about it.I think from what people that are regulars in here have said, this seems to be the difficulty with ME Insanity runs:
ME2 > ME1 > ME3
All those moments are great and I would agree we need to include Joker v. Collectors from ME2. The other moment I would add is when Shepard speaks to Sovereign on Virmire. I just played that sequence again the other day and it still gave me goosebumps. That conversation really conveys how much Shep & Co. have underestimated the scope of the threat they are facing.http://m.ign.com/articles/2014/06/16/13-best-mass-effect-moments
Yeah I'll add Vigil from ME1 and Joker's sequence in ME2. You?
We know, Chubbs.... your vote is for everything from Eden Prime until the photograph at the party on the Citadel. Not a bad list, but they forgot soooo many scenes. Tali on Rannoch...talking Wrex down on Virmire....running up the side of the presidium tower...the gags in the citadel dlc...entering the geth collective in ME3.... I could go on and on.
Probably.Ok, do we dare make a big list then start a voting thread to widdle it down to a top ten greatest moments?
