Mavs to the Finals: Congrats to the Heat

Great game. Duncan played amazing except for the OT where his team needed him most. Props to the Mavs. I hope the Suns win. Suns/Mavs would be a great Western Finals.

that was an amazing series. The Spurs fans shouldnt be ashamed by this loss. Plus they got three already. ITs about damn time they stopped being so greedy and give the Mavs some lol. I am excited and TRYING to save money to go up to Dallas if they end up makin the finals.
don't forget raja bell.
He doesn't flop even remotely as much as those other guys. I have to probably go with Derek Fisher since I can't think of anyone else for PG.

OMG yes! What a win. This series was a classic. Great effort by both teams.

I hope I can get some tickets this time (I wanted some vs. the Spurs, but I kept missing the times they go on sale and they sell out too quickly.)

As for a PG that flops alot you gotta go with Derek Fisher or Darrell Armstrong.

Here's my bitching team

Duncan
Malone
James
Ginobli
Payton

Head coach D' Antoni with Popovich as an assistant coach.

Bitching or bitch? If it is bitching you HAVE to have Sam "The Alien" Cassell. I like his game but he has something to say after EVERY call. Do I even need to mention Rasheed Wallace?

Coach D'Antoni? Do you even watch Suns games? Nobody bitches more then Pop.
Spurs should've won. Duncan was fouled at the end of the game and an easy free throw would've won it for them.
Regardless of whether he was fouled or not on which play, there were AT LEAST ten calls where he wasn't touched and went to the line. He shot 23 free throws, give me a break. Spurs fans have NO REASON AT ALL to bitch, Ginobli's flopping and Duncan's free trips to the line.

I'm not talking about the rest of the game, just one call. It should've been relatively obvious for the refs, but they missed it. At least it didn't end the game there for the Spurs and they had to the chance to win it again in overtime, which they failed to do. I'm not bitching though, just making a point.

It's bitching. I think Sam Cassell whines alot too, and he is constantly talking. But I think Cassell is just more of a joke because of the way he is constantly talking, and which is why I gave Payton the nod. I think Wallace whines alot more than Malone, but Malone constantly threw cheap elbows and would still whine in a game. But yeah those two guys would definitely be coming off the bench.

And to the other user the reason I picked D'Antoni is he does whine alot and he looks just like my HS principal which is why I hate to see him even more.
Coach D'Antoni? Do you even watch Suns games? Nobody bitches more then Pop.
i disagree, Dantoni looks like a little stunned nerd upset and frustrated, kinda pathetic imo, while Popovich always seems to smirk or laugh at bad calls.

My all-bitch team: (note, this is cross-sports)
Raja Bell
Rasheed Wallace
Tayshaun Prince
Allen Iverson
Vlade Divac
Terrell Owens
Keyshawn Johnson
AJ Peirzinski
Alex Rodriguez

With Sam Cassell and Mike Bibby as sixth men, Mike Vanderjagt is the punter, and the Gramatica boys as your kicker. Neon Deion returning kicks and covering.

Mike D'Antoni, J. Van Gundy, Steve Spurrier, Marty Shottenheimer and Ozzie Guillen as your coaching staff

Steve Phillips (out of anal-izing) as your GM, and Georgie-boy as your owner.

-Kyle and Kurt Busch as your team (drunk) drivers, and Maurice Clarett as your roadside trash detail.

I can see complaints about Rasheed, but what did Tayshaun ever do. He's easily one of the best defenders in the league. Is he a bitch because he's skinny, because he looks strange? Come on, Tayshaun's great, and you need to be careful, because he's straight outta Compton!

Notice you're the only one who even thought it. No, he's a bitch because everytime he commits a foul, it's amazingly not his fault. Bitch & moan to the officials...

That description fits 80% of the NBA.

Congrats Mavs fans. That was an incredible game last night. One of the best I can remember.
I'm a Warriors fan and they suck. My son loves Dirk, so I'm pulling for the Mavs in this years playoffs. I'm glad Dirk pulled it through in the clutch last night. I just wished he kept the David Hasselhoff thing to himself.
That description fits 80% of the NBA.
But how many of them look like they are going to cry when they get whistled?

I'd like to thank Andrew Ortiz ([email protected]) for taking the time out of his busy schedule to e-mail me. I'd leave this guy's info private, but he didn't seem to want to extend the same courtesy to me by not e-mailing me.

na na nah na na, don't cry...too much

sincerely,

a die hard dallas maverick fan

Funny because I couldn't give two shits about the West for most of the season. Odd because it isn't the same e-mail address I used for this site, yet this is the only site I've said a thing about the NBA on. Whatever.

Anyone else exited about the lottery tonight?
Bulls have a very good chance at getting the 2nd pick thanks to NY.
Bulls also got the 16th pick locked up. Its gonna be some good stuff for Chicago.

Mavs should kill the suns, but in this series both sides could bitch about the refs, they have never been this horrible. But the thing that lost the game for the Spurs was Ginobili's foul on Dirk and 1, overtime, game over

Eddie Jordan got 25k for complaining about LeBron's traveling, which is ridiculous...because he does travel at least 30% of the time.

Whats bs was, they called it AGAINST Bowen. I don't know how they can see these things yet some they cannot see or call. They didn't call the foul when Parker ran for a layup and it was slapped outta his hands. They didn't call the last sec foul when everyone was all over Duncan.

IMO, they should have instant replays or challenge calls like the NFL.
But how many of them look like they are going to cry when they get whistled?
brad miller is the only person i can think of that looks more like a baby than duncan on EVERY SINGLE FOUL they're called for. those two are like old faithful.

I agree, they should have challenges, but it would slow the game down a hell of a lot, plus Duncan would have shot like 6 FT's last night.

Woot!

Bulls with the 2nd pick after all. Great job raping the Knicks, Paxson!

Raptors got pretty fucking lucky to get 1st pick.
Bcats with the 3rd pick, not bad.
Blazers getting the 4th is pretty sad considering they had the 2nd worst record in the league.

I love when shit happens to the Knicks. Could've had the number 2 pick this year haha. Raptors did get lucky and the Blazers were VERY unlucky. ANyway Eastern finals tonight. I want the Heat to win, I really dont want to watch the boring Pistons in the Finals again. I think Mavs/Heat would be a great NBA Finals.

Well, I don't really think the Pistons are going to pull this one out, but if they do... this series is over. No way the Pistons can play worse than this the rest of the series.

Great game Heat, the played as a team, Wade only played 25 or 27 minutes wow.

And gokou if they called that against Bowen, they should put 22.7 back on the clock with the Spurs up one, it was a foul on Ginobili, but if they said it was on Bowen, it was a blind contact call. Not that it would have mattered much if it were game 1, 2, 3, or 4, but game 7, nah

And congrats to the Raptors, they should have a stacked team if Mike James stays, him Bosh, Villenueva, and their lottery pick, they're gonna be scary.

The Pistons looked EXHAUSTED tonight. The Heat looked really fresh and played without Wade and/or Shaq for large parts of the game due to foul trouble.

Agree'ed that the Pistons looked exhausted. I also was really impressed by the Heat. The minutes that Wade played and they still won. Great win for the Heat.
Woot!

For a while, I was kind of starting to regret that trade (all because of Tim Thomas being a fucking baby), along with losing big men Eddy Curry and Antonio Davis. Now, the Bulls have tons of salary cap space, got the #2 pick, and still made the playoffs. So, I guess I'm not going to complain. Like Paxson has said, the Bulls need size and athletic players.

Yeah, I find it funny seeing the Knicks get screwed.

This draft seems like it is going to be really weak IMO. A lot of players look to be works in progress. Tyrus Thomas is a GREAT athlete but so was Darius Miles.

Even Adam Morrison (who is probably more NBA ready than any other player) needs some defensive seasoning.

The player than everone seems to be underrating is Shelden Williams though. That guy has the body and the defensive presence to make an immediate impact for a team. Not necessarily as a franchise player, but a SOLID defender who can score.

and while your at it, might as well say there's no such thing as a clean block. you're almost there.

ahaha that cracked me up. but you gotta credit Dirk, he does not get nervous, very clutch.

Sheldon is a will be a good defensive player in the NBA. But he is not a top 5 pick. That's why he is not getting talked about as much as the other players. I think Tyrus Thomas is the best player in the draft but he is a work in progress. Morrison can make an immidiate impact. But i see him slipping down to the thrid pick.
