I got my welcome packet today. B2G1 coupon is good until September 1 Awesome! =) Might use it when Max Payne comes out.
 
The reason I never got on the Kmart "train" was they didn't have a trade in program (and told Josh that several times). A few times when they had really good deals I did it (like the $15 credit for buying a $5 "preorder" with FO:New Vegas), or if it was a game I knew I was going to buy day one.

But yeah, no trade in program killed any change of them ever getting my business more than a few times a year.

I'm unsure of that actually - good question. I used mine on three $40 games to maximize the coupon.

True. My only thing is that I don't trade in most of my games. I trade in a few here and there. I shy away from buying bigger titles with the chance of a GOTY version coming out. Now if I pick up the GOTY version for $25 or less, then I'm happy. I don't want to pay the initial $60 and then pay for the DLC. I miss "Complete" games from day one. That's just my two sense.

Portal 2 $20 credit & $35 GS pm 2 weeks after release MK $20 credit & $30 TRU pm 1 week after release. $65 w/$40 credit on day 1. The $55 cash from pm'ing + $40 credit makes the next 2 $60 games would cost just $25 & I would still be able to get back another $40 from pm'ing those 2 games. That $40 makes the next $60 game $20 day 1 & I get the $20 back from pm'ing it. There's no way for the kmart deal to overcome both the credit upfront & = or greater pm on the backend. So whether you but a lil or alot the BB deal always wins.

I pm 85%-95% of my BB purchases(not just games) & I'm RZ silver 4 yrs running with mostly gaming purchase thus my epic backlog which could completely stock the PS3 section of your local GS & my PSP coll is better than most GS too. There's at least 7 stores(Target, Walmart, Sears, GS, PC Richards, TRU, Sam's Club) in my area to match not including BB itself + 45 days of sales to track. One of my main problems with kmart is they don't have good stock.

Then I keep an eye out for good trade in deals for the vanilla copies before the GOTY comes out.

Fortunately, Craigslist is full of people who'll pay $50 w/o tax for my games since I'll have the online pass too & they don't follow the pricing trends. So generally I wind up paying $40 or less for a game after pm, getting RZ points, Silver RZ points, GC points & pre-order credit. Then selling the game for more than I paid for it no hassle. If there's a really popular title that's in demand & people don't wanna wait I can sell it for $55 new tax free & still get the pm. I love when there's b2g1 deals along with sale prices too that's when I make a killing...Saint's Row the third $40 + b2g1 & selling the games for $50 each was the best.

What's the deal with the reoccurring $10 off $29.99 Used games? It seem like they've had that same coupon maybe 3-4 times within the span I've had a subscription. Bring back the 40%/50% off Used game coupon.

I don't think BB has everything setup yet to do digital coupons, maybe in the next issue. If you look on page 78 of this month's issue advertising the digital edition of @gamer, it states "exclusive coupon offers will be sent to you directly via email", so it will happen at some point.

I signed up in-store in March and I have yet to receive a magazine or welcome packet. I looked up my account and it said it didn't exist (for the mag...but my Gamer rewards account was right). I contacted customer service and they said I should get my first mag in June. This sounds ridiculous.

It was nice that the guy who signed me up in the store gave me the March magazine. I got Batman Arkham City(found one with the bonus Robin content) for $9.99 and Rage for $4.99- both new :)

It's only the 9th, you have nearly a whole month for it to drop in price.
Ultimately, it's up to you but I'd rather wait.

I got my first magazine but still didn't get my welcome packet.
I kind of hope I get it soon though cause I want to use the B2G1 free on Prototype 2 and Skyrim when it goes on sale next week.

Yeah, I just don't get this at all. I signed up in early March, got the welcome package a few weeks ago, but still haven't received an issue of the magazine. Even worse, the customer service for the magazine is a joke. I asked them to give me my membership number in an E-mail, and they wouldn't. Asked again in a second E-mail, and again, they wouldn't. I complained about not getting the April issue, and they extended my subscription by a month next year. They also told me I should receive the May issue by May 11th. Well, it's the 9th, and still have no magazine.

From the second E-mail they sent me, it seems the remedy if I don't get the May issue will be to extend my subscription by another month. But what happens if they cancel the mag by then? Or if the coupons stop? How hard is it to mail a freaking magazine to someone? Beyond that, how hard is it for them to give me my membership number so I can actually look up my information at their website?

What a joke. If I hadn't already gotten my $15 back from the March issue, I'd be demanding a refund.

I highly doubt you will get it in time. I had been signed up for months and got my packet last month. It seems they send them out every couple months.

Don't we have 30 days from purchase to price match of it drops in price? So, if you purchase it today for $20 with coupon and the base price drops to $30 you could bring back your receipt for the $10. I could be completely off- wouldn't be first or last time.

The coupon (in their eyes) is a 1 time use code. So when you PM later they can't "reuse" that coupon. So by policy it wouldn't work.

1 of 2 things would happen to work around this that are both YMMV

1) talk them into reusing the sku or scanning a coupon from another magazine (since they are universal codes)

Or

2) a manager would have to override the transaction. Much less likely as all overrides count against managers and are held accountable for each one.

So do most ppl have their May issues by now? I didn't get my April one and it doesn't look like I'm getting this one either. I would report it on their website, but in order to login I need my subscription code...which I don't have, because they won't send me my magazine! I threw away the March issue long ago, too. :whistle2:(

The 50% off ones I would expect only 1-2 times a yr unless BB takes my advice & follows the idea linked in the OP that would get us coupon packs sent out with this type of deal another 2-3 times a yr.

It's usually 6-8 weeks to get you 1st mag(it's gotten better per some CAG's) but I agree they need to speed it up a lil. Or allow for people to pick up 2 months worth of mags in-store just in case.

My april issue never came as well, and I thought I was going to miss out on the may one as it was nowhere to be seen, but it arrived yesterday. Was worried for a bit, that they cancelled my subscription.

crap, I forgot to buy it today. I also managed to get the ps3 headset for free at a closing store! (using the $40 off coupon)

I wish I had that luck. They had No headsets are anything else for coupon use besides NCAA. They did however have a ME3 CE for ps3
 
do they give you a coupon when you walk in or would it be too late to get one by now? the closing store coupon I mean, not the magazine ones
