Yes but sometimes I can see Snake because I can see smoke from his gun or air from him breathing (I don't know which). You can also hear it when octocamo changes like in the single player game, so you know he's nearby.
 
The other modes aren't really any different than what you can find elsewhere, though I'm really not a fan of Capture. Rescue's better as a CTF mode and BASE is fun as probably the most team-based game in MGO, and TDM and DM are what you'd expect with the MGO fun making them my favorites of the normal modes.

rescue looked interesting, maybe I'll try it when the maintenance is over.
 
When I played as Snake on sneaking on MGO, I actually held someone up and preceded to pat them down so they dropped all their items. I tried to do the nut grab, but I didn't know how to do it.

Ended up slicing the guy's throat, which was pretty damn stupid of me. Could've knocked him out for a dog tag and then let him run around with no items.

Oh well, I still won that match.
 
Finished Act 4.
Wow. The Vamp fight was cool, the suicide gekko fight was hard until I figured out that I didn't need to shoot out their kneecaps first, the MG Rex escape was awesome and the Ray/Rex fight was cool. I guess Raiden won't be the star of MGS5. :cry:
 
May I say, it's fuckin stupid you have to re-install every act, every time through the game. They have no right to make disc-swapping jokes, when this is obviously worse.

I get the idea that the game data is overwritten between levels. People would raise all sorts of fuss if the game had a mandatory 12gb install.

I much prefer the short installs between chapters. I know some people want the option, but if I had a choice of what I am forced to do (which is the rule most games play by), I prefer being forced into this.
 
Hah! This game has won my heart. Played my first "Sneaking" game online. 5 minutes go by and no one can find snake. I'm sitting on the roof sniping and bullets fly by me, I roll to dodge and accidentally fall off the roof and yet I live...cause Snake broke my fall. :)

it goes by konami ID... yeah, it's annoying but does have some pluses.
 
The friends list doesn't use the Konami ID, just the character name. You just have search for their name when they're online, or if they're in a game with you, and add them to your friends list.

Just beat it. I am a massive, MASSIVE MGS fan. This game / experience is the single greatest, most exciting, fun and emotional one I've ever had from a game.

I personally think all this waiting for Snake's final mission was worth it.

Incredibly happy about every single moment of the game and will be restarting tomorrow on a higher difficulty.

Awesome!!!!!!
 
I just beat the game today! So many great boss fight although one of my favorite boss fight ever was the Boss fight in MGS3, the mood environment was just perfect. I have some quick question:

So do DP point carry over to the next game?

I thought Snake said he didn't like to use knives (MGS1), so why is he using it now?

It was actually in MGS2 that he mentioned this distaste (when he gives Raiden the high-frequency blade). Also, the line was more like, "I'm not a big fan of blades." This was an apparent reference to Snake's Revenge, the non-cannon sequel to the original Metal Gear, in which Snake has a knife in his starting inventory.

Oh yeah it might have been MGS2 but why is he using it now? Is it because he's using CQC now?

Yeah, the knife is a part of the CQC system that The Boss and Big Boss developed, so it would just make sense for him to use the knife. I mean, if you want, just assume Snake has always used knifes and CQC. After all, he is a special forces operative, so he would have known CQC for a long time. It was just never part of the gameplay mechanics before.
 
yeah...end of act 3, beginning of act 4. too much awful cut scene. I had a decent grasp of the story of the whole series before this game, but they lost me, it's retarded, but the game play is amazing in this one.

Quite obvious kojima didn't have the story planned out before making 3.

GGs guys... genna take a break since I planned on doing some single player stuff... I may be on after I am done with that. I'm glad to see I don't suck as much as I was expecting, though I do suck alot when playing snake... man am I easy bait.

laughable since there's no build up of his character in MGS3, but suddenly he had all these lofty ideals and plans for world domination. Kojima is a hack writer, but I can't blame him.

I think it'd be useful. If it was easier to buy shit i'd probably pick it up.

Yay! I just beat the game. Epic. Just epic. MGS4 is one of the best games I have ever played. I loved every second of it. The ending was amazing.

Wow I'm still amazed over that ending. Hahahaha that dude from MGS1 who shit himself married Meryl. I knew I should have put two and two together and figured out it was him.
