Thought the same when I saw the codec pack. The game's been out less than a week and they're already trying to peddle off voices for like 6 bucks.

Guess they figure, why make a MMO Metal Gear game when they can just use MGO to make money.

I finally beat this today.

What a ride.

I feel badly for anyone who got stuff spoiled for them.

The coolest moment for me was...
emerging from the woods on Shadow Moses and stepping into the area outside the nuclear storage facility. That music from the end of MGS1 started up and I was like, wow, I can't believe it's been ten years since the first time I saw this. I had goosebumps. Definitely one of my top 10 videogame moments ever.

In MGO if you look up CAG in the Clan Listing you'll see it and be able to apply.

You should probably pay more attention when equipping skills.
 
I might play around 11 or so (est). I just beat Single Player for the third time (3:48:04) to get the following Ranks:
Raven, Bear, Assassin, Rabbit, and Scorpion
. I'm going to step up the difficulty from now on. Liquid Easy is too easy. I'm going to try the 4th Difficulty Level. Though that might be a bit much.

I have a feeling you might get murdered if you go straight from easy to hard, although I thought MGS4 was much, much easier than the previous games so maybe they've toned it down. I was playing on Solid Normal.

I'll probably do a game on hard next, but extreme scares me. I couldn't even make it past the first boss in MGS2's extreme. :cold:
 
Well I have a lot of Recovery Items. The only part that really scares me is the
part where you have to fend off Gekkos at Rex using the Railgun
. Also I plan on just replaying it slowly this time. I beat it the first time, in under 17 hours, I'm guessing if I took that big of a leap, it'd take a while. I doubt it'd take 30 hours, but I just want to take my time.

I REALLY wish I could see a list of my emblems somewhere besides having to beat the game.

Finished the game a few days ago on Solid Normal, loved every moment of it! I'll probably go for no alerts and no kills on my next playthrough, and then try Big Boss Hard after that. Haven't tried MGO yet but it sounds like fun.
 
Playing through on Boss Hard right now. Trying for a no alert playthrough, but with knife kills and CQC for the Altair costume and stealth camo. Getting no alerts is starting to piss me off though, I'll make it halfway through a zone and than get a damn alert and have to start it over. Knife kills are fun though, I usually try for as few kills as possible but with all these guns I just want to have fun and shoot everybody up.
 
Just beat it under 17 hours. Best game/movie I have played/watched in a long time. I LOVED the nostalgia that was so prevalent in this game. Can't wait to play through it again and again :D

She hardened up...then a wolf came up and dragged her body away, a flash back then came up of the same wolf dragging away Sniper Wolf. After the scene you are presented by the wolf along with a family of wolves wandering. Otacon is very "awww" and then I immediately shot all the wolves...called Otacon again and his "aww" became a "RGWerEUIGE grrrrr". :)
 
Just beat the game. Absolutely perfect.
When snake puts the gun in his mouth I almost teared up completely and HOLY SHIT IT IS NOT OVER..................oh my God that fooled me completely. Wow. Thank you Hideo Kojima for making me love video games.

The knife fight earlier was a lot of fun. How do you slash downwards? Like if a person is lying down, and you're crouching, how do you kill them with a knife? It looked like some people were doing it, but when I tried it he would slash the air, not the ground. Do you need higher level knife skills?

If you have auto-lock on, it does it as long as you're close and facing the person. You can also manually do it by aiming with Triangle. You don't need knife skill equipped to do it.

Fight with only a knife. He says I "play like an ass." zewone kept nominating me for a kick, I survived like three in the first match, and the second one I got kicked.

Because zewone thinks it's annoying. He posted in the thread last time that it was, and then deleted it. So I quoted him when he started up again tonight and he started trying to kick me repeatedly.
 
Espy's knife skill counters his weak gun skills. So it evens out. Just like most are better using a gun, espy decides to use a knife instead. It's not like espy is a super killing machine with a 1000 to 1 kill/death ratio.

Anyone that's seen me use a gun knows why I don't use a gun. My ratio is barely 1:1 with a knife. I asked zewone in the game if he wanted to kick me because I don't play like him, and he said yeah. That's the only reason. I don't talk trash, I don't teabag, I didn't even try to kick him.
 
I personally find it annoying to have someone pop up, do CQC, and get a one-hit knife kill. Hated it back in the original MGO, and I hate it, now. I can shoot a guy 10 times in the chest with an assault rifle, and he's still alive. Someone stabs me in the arm, and I'm dead.

Nonetheless, if someone has a problem with something completely legitimate that is going on in the game, they should leave, not be a punk and keep requesting a boot. I would only request a boot if someone is being a complete douche, lagging horribly, or if they are glitching, if any glitches pop up in this MGO.

Pretty much. This is MGO, so you should already be trying to move slowly and watching all corners and your back. If you do that, they can't get a jump on you, and then it's pretty hard to get a knife kill from 20 feet away.

It's the same argument on my side, when I'm trying to go in for a knife kill (because I don't always do the pop-out kill, I will run after people straight on with guns firing at me). I have a lot of ground to cover while you're trying to shoot my head off. Hell, I will sneak all the way across a map to someone's sniping position and knife them.

Anyway, unless zewone agrees to stop kicking me, I'm out of CAG games. Thanks for the support guys.
