NFL 2007 Season Thread
Sorry, to break it to you, but the defender jumped into him. Now, you could argue that he was going for the ball, but Shockey didn't run into him.

Wow, and NFL.com gamecast says TB converted on a 4th and 1 in FG range and has now scored.
The defender did not jump into him. Shockey jumped into the defender because he wasn't looking where he was running. The defender has every right to his position on the field. It was also clear on the slow motion replay that shockey ran into the rear side of the defender, not the other way around. If it was a car accident, then shockey would be at fault, and the same rule applies to the NFL. An offensive player cannot try to run through a defensive player to make a catch and then cry pass interference.
So the 49ers lost, and the Rams, Raiders, and Jets all won. That pick is top 5 again.

Testaverde really helped the Pats today.
Hell yes. :applause:

For the first time ever in my 49ers fandom, I woke up this morning and didn't even bother to watch them play.

All I have to say about the end of the Skins game is "..."
That flag just thrown on the bears was so not pass interference. Shockey ran into the defender!
I didn't have a major problem with the call, but the announcer played it off like it was 100% slam dunk pass interference. I thought the case could be made that they were both running for the ball and happened to collide.
Agreed.

They have given away too many games in the 4th quarter this year. I'm to the point where I can't watch it anymore because it is just ripping my heart out.

Whew. I was sweating the end of that Giants game yesterday... We are in a very good spot at 8-4. What sucks though is that the Cowboys are 11-1 so the best we can hope for is an away Wild Card game and the #5 seed. I'm not that scared of Tampa Bay or Seattle though so it doesn't really matter (I'm not saying the Giants couldn't lose to either of them I'm just saying it's not like I don't think they could win). It could even turn out that we have the 3rd best record in the NFC and still get the shaft for a home playoff game...
That Giants/Bears game was so ugly.
It was a typical Giants game. They missed a ton of opportunities and tried to give the game away. They do that every week.

i dont know about you guys, but i picked up justin fargas several weeks ago off the waiver wire and hes been producing. so this morning i decided to google justin fargas. what i found is amazing.

hes the son of antonio fargas, aka huggy bear.

hes also an aspiring actor and was even in snoop doggs classic movie, hood of horror, which you can buy below.
http://www.amazon.com/Snoop-Doggs-H..._bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1196710812&sr=8-1

now if thats not crazy enough get this, he released his solo rap album in 2006. oh yeah, hes a rapper, check out his music here. http://www.myspace.com/younghuggmusic

Heh, he's reppin' my area code

They mentioned he was Huggy's son back when he made his debut for the raiders in his first preseason game.

I was always pullin' for him to be a starter when I first saw him play, he surprised me as much as Ryan Grant on the Packers.

Gearing up for the Patriots game tonight. :)

I've got my Tostito chips, salsa, cheese dip, Diet Coke, and TGI Friday's Mozzerella Sticks.

Unhealthy, but tasty.

Go Pats!

I wonder how tonight's game is gonna go

I know, but the Bears made the game even uglier. Quite a display of choke artistry.

Which will make the food taste that much better. ;)

Looks like Roy Williams might miss the rest of the season....although, the Lions have been embarassing the past 4 games.

The little chance they had at making the playoffs is basically gone with their schedule.

Dallas, San Diego, KC and Green Bay....yikes. 6-10...unless they shock the world next week ;)

What happened to Roy?
Which will make the food taste that much better. ;)
Haha.

I'm wondering how next week's game is gonna go when the Steelers meet them ~:/

If anything, the game last night only reinforced my dislike of Houshmanzadeh. I can't really put my finger on it, but there's just something about him.

The Lions rule. Pure comedy gold.

I'm with you on that..... except my junk food is some Doritos and a few energy drinks.

GO PATS!
Normally I don't root for the Ravens because I think Ray Lewis is a criminal but against Bellicock and the Pats I say GO RAVENS!!!!
Did you hear Lewis' little motivational speech to two of his teammates? They're giving it their all for their "brother" Sean Taylor, and I'm all for it :D

Yea i'm not a big fan of Lewis either because of all the stabbing of people he does and O yea he killed a man before. Go Ravens :D

I guess you have to be a crappy QB and team to play well against the Pats (except for Peyton Manning). First A.J. Feely now Kyle Boller. Man too bad the Bears don't play the Pats. Rex Grossman would probably play like well Tom Brady!

Oh and Inf Shini I meant to comment the other night... So far so good with Rodgers although one game does not a QB make. I was kinda hoping Favre would be banged up for awhile so I could snag Rodgers for my fantasy team for my playoff run. My current QB are Eli Manning and Matt Shaub...

Go Ravens!

I hate the cheating Pats and I'm sick of there god damn "perfect season" bullshit and I grew up near Boston!

Wow the Ravens offense really blew this game for them. All they needed was a couple first downs. You can;t give Brady 3 chances to get a game tying or winning TD.

Their own fucking coach cost them the game, put that dumb son of a bitch out on his ass tomorrow. If you're gonna pull that timeout before the snap bullshit, warn your team otherwise the psychological effect is gonna hurt you more than them.

There offense blew it before that. You need to do more than go 3 and out 2 possessions in a row. There offense needed to eat some clock and they couldn't.

wow, what a suprise, the NFL gives the patriots another win, how strange that the game that will have the patriots going for 16-0 is gonna be on the NFL network, what a crock, why do they bother keeping up the scam

What exactly was given in this game? We also got rammed by the officials in the Colts game. That is about the most moronic conspiracy theory ever
