yeah, that's fine. since there is new york player at the moment, matt x will get the win this week, which means only one game needs to be played for us to have every game done. how exciting is that? so how's it coming along boston and detroit?

also, i don't want to be a jerk, but if it so happens that we end up having all but two of next weeks games done early, chances are i may just advance the schedule to keep things rolling. sorry to stevemcq if that happens, but i'm sure you can understand why i would want to. of course, at the moment it's all speculation.
 
Gojtron always seems to take a while to get his games in. If we advance to next week before Saturday then I can surely play at least next week's game. I don't mind you guys advancing. Do what you have to.

If you feel like you can get someone to take over for me, then go ahead and drop me. My feelings won't be hurt. I'll be too busy with my girlfriend to care :wink:

Actually, when I posted that I thought it was fairly clear that someone had taken the Rangers for a few games, but after looking at the league site nobody has taken them yet. Whenever, Mr. Fortier or whoever takes them let me know. I gotta beat you so I can take out this mouthy clown in a few weeks. :)

you're going to get the win this week, i don't have anyone to replace new york right now, and it doesn't seem possible to have one person play a game with more than one team.

my friend just bought an xbox and xbox live, so chances are i'm going to make him buy nhl 2k5 (even though he already has the ps2 version), so i may be able to fill one of the upcoming vacant slots (i don't intend to drop stevemcq or wildwop, though, as long as they won't be irritated that they might have a game simmed). if anybody else could help out without finding replacements, it would be cool.
 
Hey TJordan...I got the Colorado team. You're my next opponent. Let's get this game in before Saturday night since I have to leave. That'll only leave one game for me that has to be simmed in my absence. PM me here.

Seriously, I wasn't sure what you meant. I didn't know if you wanted to play, were asking if I was playing, or if I planned on getting my ass kicked by somebody. So I awkwardly moved on to the subject I was working on at the time, the football tournament. Though I couldn't have played anyway since the TV was being used. I'm gonna be on here in a few if you wanna play some hockey or Halo 2.

My game shows up as not being played because of the team switch thing, but I won 1-0. Matt X will get a win in his game because WildWop is leaving town. That leaves one game, and I believe it involves one or two people that haven't played consecutive weeks and deserved to be kicked out.

I'm pretty sure thatstoobad said that he was going to end up letting things go on regularly and just sim the games that dont get played, as long as most of us get our games done. Today is the last day to play week 5, and then he will advance it to week 6. If most people get their week 6 games done he will advance it again on regular schedule as opposed to taking a holiday break.

the one game that needed to be simmed was (boston and detroit). we are now in week 6. the schedule is as follows:

Atlanta @ NY Rangers
New Jersey @ Boston
Montreal @ Calgary
Colorado @ Phoenix
Philadelphia @ Columbus
Dallas @ Tampa Bay
Detroit @ Toronto
St. Louis @ Los Angeles
San Jose @ NY Islanders

atlanta: we need to find a replacement for the rangers. any help by anyone would be appreciated.

toronto: please try your best to get your game done. i'm aware there will probably be some difficulty contacting your opponant this week, and i'll try to find a replacement for detroit soon.

AS FAR AS THE PLAY BY DATE IS CONCERNED: i previously said we'd hold off until january 5th, which still may be possible, BUT if most of the games get played, i'll advance the schedule at or near the normal time period. hopefully we can find a replacement for detroit and/or the rangers before we advance it, but that remains to be seen.

phoenix: please try to get your game with stevemcq in soon before he leaves. that would help things out. thanks.
 
I will be available to play now any time after 7pm cst Mon-Wed and Friday during the month of December (Thanks to the Holidays :D Slow Time) Weekends depend on what is going on. I sent GojTron (Detroit) a message but if you find a replacement for him PM me and let me know so I can get in contact with the new player.

Sure thing. We were both ready to play today but it was still in week 5. I'm going to try and get it done tonight if he is available.
 
Good game TJordan. His Coyotes won 3-6 on a flurry of goals in the 3rd period. I lost and I still enjoyed myself.

League admin, you're free to sim my week 7 game if you feel like moving on. I should be back to play week 8. I'll see you all next year. Happy Holidays everyone!

Mr Fortier (Devils) VS Dafoomie
Mr Fortier (Rangers VS Nick Zero

Even though I am back as the Devils, it lists me as both. Problem is this: I tried playing my game against Dafoomie, but it will only let me face Nick Zero as the Rangers. I think this may be fixed if we get someone in as the Rangers. Until then, I don't know what to do.

i'll try sending someone an invite and seeing if that works. i'm thinking sj41, just because i remember his XBL account name. i'm not sure if he has to accept it, though. i guess we'll see in a minute or two.

i think i may have to either sim atlanta's game or have another user actually sign in as the rangers. otherwise, i have no idea. that's super weird.
 
I can sign into to Rangers under my brother's Live account just to get the problem fixed if you need me to. (but he sucks at NHL and isn't interested in permanently joining the league)

hey man i see you live in the atl and you could be of great assistance to me. are there any sales on lettered ilya kovalchuk jerseys that you have seen while hunting for games?

well, i bet you will have a rough time with the first line and a bit of trouble with the second, but you will have little or no trouble with the third and fourth line, or my goalie for that matter.
 
I haven't seen any, but I haven't been looking all that much. I wanted one during the NHL.com sale, but the sale didn't apply to jerseys with names. It was very lame. Sadly, the only place around here I see a lot of jerseys/sweaters is around the arena, so I haven't been in a while. The south sucks for hockey. (stupid hicks and their SEC football)

The Rangers are my secondary team, and they have some great lines with firepower.

i wear my clothes much bigger, but go to mcsports.com and you can get a lettered thrashers navy shipped for 75. they only have medium and large, so i may go try on a large the deal is so good.

i sent you a PM but will also post here just to be sure you get the message. if you want to play (and i'm hoping you do), just send me your XBL account in a PM or post it here and then i will send you a league invite. after you get the league invite, all you have to do is go to the espn league site (here is the link). you will have to register if you haven't already, but after you do, check your private messages on that site, and you'll see the league invite. then you just accept the invite, and you're playing as the rangers.

Sweet. I'm in. Thanks for getting me in so quick. Now to set up a match with Eddiebelfour. I'm a little rusty, but I could play tonight if you are available. I think I could work it in between playing Kotor 2 and cleaning my paintball gun/marker.
 
Dafoomie's disc had a disc read error and our game ended with me being up 1-0. The game was fairly laggy though, and may have been because of the disc. It sounded like he didn't really want to play again, but I am seeing if he wants a rematch.
