I dont need a 60 dollar expansion pack.

That game should be DLC.

They took out the 4 player co-op.

Ive seen bigger patches for UT2k4.

Yes typically DLC and expansion packs feature completely new single player campaigns and new multiplayer maps, weapons, and a leveling up structure not featured in the original game. It will also be nice to be able to join in co-op at any point in the single player.

It's a legit sequel. Far more complete than GRAW2 which was pretty bad.

Not to mention it will be awesome.
The distance I sit 1080p is negligible.
Its superfluous.

You cannot notice a difference between 720p and 1080p at 42".

The 1080p is around 300 dollars more.

MM is James Mielke!?!?!
Gotcha.

what does this gai nucca mean?

Rainbow Six is AAA always will be. I played a fucking ton of R6:Vegas. Even if it's just the same with new maps and shit, it'll be awesome.

I've got Brawl paid off fuck yes. I want to play wipeout pulse all day now kthxbai.

OH so AAA= What you say is AAA got ya d00d.

I think R6Vegas 2 will be my YourFree360Games.com offer redemption. I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be interested to see how the audience shifts that's now split between Halo 3 and COD4 into R62.

Army of Two looks good but I'd only be interested in it during a trade, not with any actual outlay of cash. Maybe Goozex will come through, who knows.

I thought Rainbow Six was always a pretty top notch franchise.. I played it on PC back in the day, then Rainbow Six 3 was huge on Xbox 1. There were a few bad ones at the end of that generation, but mostly has been a top notch franchise. Vegas was probably the best shooter of 2006.

Don't worry, MM. I'll go easy on you and use Metaknight.
Since he doesn't have chain grabs. ;)

DMK's gonna get my Kirby, though. And much laughing will commence.

Whaaaaaaaat?!?

Sequels are supposed to add more shit in, not take shit out.

Bah, I'll wait for the inevitable ubisoft price drop before even considering R6V2.

I haven't decided on Brawl. Never been a fan before, so I'm not invested in getting it now.

You must have missed these.

IGN said they took out 4 player co-op.
One interesting aspect of Vegas 2's co-op, and this is something that might upset some players, is that they've removed the ability to play with four players. Instead you're limited to having an extra member of the Rainbow Six team join up with your trio of soldiers. Essentially, the added player is left out of the core gameplay and can maneuver through the level however he or she sees fit. The host (player one) has control of the other two AI combatants and can tell them to do the traditional anti-terrorist things like moving to cover, breaching a door, and so on while your human buddy works on his own. I have to admit that it did feel a bit odd to be playing as the added player and not having the ability to command at least one of the AI -controlled Rainbow operatives (Why not give each human player control of an AI character?).

They exchanged four player co-op for the sprint button, gunm.

Lots of tough decisions up in the Ubisoft world!

Four player co-op made the story too easy in Vegas 1 anyways.

I heard they didn't have enough money left after paying off reviewers, and they took it out.

I did mention the crappy few last gen ones. Never played them myself, but apparently they're quite bad. Rainbow Six 3 and Black Arrow were fucking awesome though for the time. I don't understand removing 4 player co-op either. There's literally nothing I can think of for a reason for that. Unless the new levels had too much going on or were too big?

 Inu you are the fucking man today home skillet.

Man, that's dumb. Now co-op in and of itself won't necessarily make or break a game for me, but in this particular case I was really looking forward to it. Oh well, that's one less game I have to worry about.

Of course, now I wanna play R6V1 again.

Lockdown was the money maker, mang. You ever play that PS2 online? Shit was so slick.
56k in the house.

2 players.

Shot a bullet and it hit like 20 seconds later.
You all know its gonna be a good multiplayer experience just like Vegas was, you gotta admit that.
Yeah It Will Be.
I just dont want to drop 60 bones.

Kinda like the reason to put 4 player co-op in halo 3? It's completely unescessary and unneeded. Why do you need that many people to play through a game with, let alone it be an FPS. I feel the same way about Resistance's 8 player co-op or whatever ridiculous number they're claiming. It's stupid and not needed.

Now that I think about it, although taking out 4 player co-op is pretty stupid, I don't know if I should care or not. I mean, I've never played Vegas with 3 other people I actually knew :whistle2:k

Do R6 games have any similarity beyond name to the original PC games anymore? Can't remember if I played R63 or Lockdown last gen, but it was pretty lame compared to Rogue Spear.

I will be getting Brawl, not sure why. Feel free to use me as a punching bag should I accidentally find myself online.

I never cared for single player in Vegas, but online was awesome.

Unrelated, I can't decide if I want to get Crisis Core from Circuit City with my $10 gift card or get it from Best Buy since their version will have a SHINY CASE!!

Exactly, Whoknows.

I played 4 player co-op for the first time like a week and a half ago, and it was just way too easy. We even tried Realistic and if you have any comprehension of the game, four players on the map is overkill. Especially due to there not being more enemies whenever you play with more players.
Halo 3 is so short the campaign can be beat with 4 players in 1 sitting.
Not if one person is dedicated to fucking the whole thing up. ;)

if you like the complicated mission setup stuff from the old PC games then they're not the same. They're much more like shooters with tactical elements now. I think it's better, but that's just me.

I never played 4 player co-op either, just 2 player. I won't miss it because in my months and months of playing Vegas 1 I never used it..

But I'm sure Army of Two is a much more thrilling and wondrous experience from the quality publishers at EA. Shit looks bland as anything to me.
Who plays Halo for the story though, amirite?
I do.

The emotional tension between chief and cortana is amazing.

I hope they make that halo movie.

It has a great story to go with.

Jer, before you bash EA, think about the shit that Ubisoft Puts out.

Every Publisher puts out shitty games.

You cant look at a game and judge it off who is publishing it.

I'd probably have to play them to get an idea. I never really messed with the mission setup stuff other than configuring equipment and groups. I went with default waypoints and all that stuff.

It's altogether possible that I just hated them because me + dual analog + FPS = worthless.

no offense, but I still feel this huge sense of shallowness in the Halo story. In terms of the Halo universe, that's where the good stuff is. Great universe and setup for characters to play out in, but damn... that halo story made me feel like I was watching a movie from a highschooler.

yeah, that time when Inu said something but it was actually the opposite of what he thinks?

GENIUS

Plus all the coolest cats talk in short sentences.

Cause they just that cool and say things like nucca.

Shit.

Bungie has a really good basic story and universe, but I think in dealing with the massive fanbase of drooling morons that they have, they are sort of forced to dumb things down. Look at things like the I love bees story and Marathon's story and they can write good, complex sci-fi, but I really think they just keep it accessible for the average joe madden owner who likes to play halo sometimes.

That said, Halo's still got a better story and overall fiction than about any other sci-fi shooter that's not called Half Life. And Half Life mostly gets by on its characters. The actual story of aliens taking over earth isn't much different than halo's, if you really get down to it.
