And I agree, someone should make a new Gears 2 tag, even if there's a Gears 1 tag it's probably full of CAGs who aren't around anymore.
 
Too many good games this month...

Hopefully CC's free shipping takes less than the 1-3 weeks suggested. On the other hand I could always go pick one up in store tomorrow and then return the unopened pre-order copy at a store with a rather liberal return policy and keep both points cards.
 
My last hope of getting this at midnight rests in my ability to find someone on campus with a car who's willing to drive 45 minutes to an hour in search of a 24 hour Walmart.

So I probably won't be getting this at midnight. There's even a good change I wont be able to get it until tomorrow evening, when the buses start going off campus :cry:

Is anyone sure they don't want to play some Gears 1 Co-Op on Hardcore right now? I need to get through Acts 3-5 with Dom :(
 
Hopefully, everyone gets their copy at midnight so I can sneak into TRU tomorrow and pick up my copy with a $15 gift card.
 
Can you trade in games at midnight release parties? I'm wondering because I have to top off $14 to get Gears of War 2. Also, how much would I get for a perfect working Xbox 360 wireless controller?
 
It will be interesting to hear from East Coast people later tonight about how long the lines were at Best Buy and whether they had a lot of the LE RC Tanks and Gold Weapon Cards to give out. Since I am on the West Coast, that info would help as I am not sure what time I want to show up at Best Buy tonight to pick up my LE pre-order.

Yeah, that was tough, took my friend and I a good 10 tries or so to get through it. I eventually just had him torque bow him (does damage sometimes and at the least gets the Kryll off him while I blind fired with the Lancer until he went down. Used the sniper for a bit when he was at a distance to no-scope him in the head as well.

But it was satisfying to get through it. It's the only game I've ever gotten through on the hardest difficulty.
 
RAAM is hard alone, but extremely easy with a friend. Just Torque him and get a head shot with the sniper. Keep repeating, and when he gets close, stick a grenade and boom.
 
I'm peeved. I went to Gamestop to inquire about the midnight launch. Dude tells me to be there at 10 because that is when the line starts. I mention I don't have a preorder and he tells me that I cannot participate in the midnight launch. I'm sure this isn't an isolated policy, but my Gamestop will not sell you a new game until 2 days AFTER release, unless you preorder it. It is fucking nuts. They lost my purchase. I'm getting it online, for less. I'll see you guys in game next week =(

that is fuckin retarded. gamestop is so gay, so i stopped buying games from gamestop.

Considering we were down to 2 Torque Bow shots total, it was pretty hard. And he didn't have a mic so we couldn't communicate that well.

My dad seemed pretty into a midnight launch, so while I probably won't PLAY tonight, going to a midnight launch could be pretty cool.

Yea that is stupid and I fixed your post. They usually have good deals on used games and stuff but I usually just get their deals that's available online.

I heard there's somethin special if you have all the cog tags, can someone confirm this?

This game will be one of those games that you'll be able to find pretty much anywhere. The LE, that's another story. I managed to snag the last one, thank god someone canceled or I'd have to hunt around best buys tomorrow.

Stop and think abotu shit once in a while, life will be less stressful.
if they have a game that they recieve preorders for they hold the initial shipment for the preorder customers for 48 hours. after that they can sell the copies.
pretty simple practice. i cant pick my preorder of r2 up until tomorrow so i called and let them know so they wouldnt sell it after 48 hours.
