I dont think you need a gamertag to be in the Halo 2 Cag clan forum. just have one of the powers add your name to a list.

well we got some cool new clan people here it seems. Ive played with radio before and hes pretty good, and girions girlfriend would be a cool addition to our clan. Now back to the clan forums!
 
So am I in? I guess I could just get on Live and see if I've got an invite.

As for having a girl... It's really not a big deal one way or the other. I think too many boys (ie horny, adolecent shaq-tards) get way too excited when a girl is on Live and they start asking stupid questions like, "So do you have a boyfriend? Huh huh huh ) instead of focusing on the game. My point is this:

Her gender is really insignificant.

...unless she just totally whoops ass. Then we could be like, "OOOOOHHHH!!! Dude, you just got totally OWNED by a GIRL!!!". But even then you're inadvertently implying that she's an inferior player, simply because she's a girl.

So, bottom line, it really doesn't matter. She's a gamer. No more, No less.

First, thanx a lot to whoever invited me into the clan!

Second, sorrie I haven't been joining a bunch of the clan custom games I was invited to. I joined one the first time I was offered but I realized everyone had the XBL headset and I haven't gotten my next paycheck to be able to shell out the 40 bucks for the 3 month starter kit (cuz apparently they stopped selling the communicator gizmo alone).

Just wanted to show some gratitude and say I didn't mean to insult anyone by not taking the party invites.

Anyhoo, thanx again!

I'm a big girl; I can handle it. :) It happened with Girion's friends when we played over the net in his dorm. I thought it was funny and I'm sure it'll happen all the time when I start playing on Live.

I want to join this clan, but I'm stuck with the good clan in my school. It isn't as simple as leaving, because everyone that was in that clan would give me hell until I joined again.

I see him everyday either in class or just hanging out. So yes, the patience of a saint is a good way to describe it. He is easily distracted. I think I could help you out there.

Who says we'd even take you? As you can tell by looking around there's plenty of mouth-breathing talentless hacks already plaguing our clan, the last thing we need is a bigger influx of useless do-nothings to fu(k up our ratings.

and last I checked you arent staff of the clan. you just happen to be an elite. whoop de doo. you're a mediocre player Jimmie. the only thing you bring to the clan is your mouth. you occasionally say something funny but you're an ass in general. Maybe noone else will say it but I dont care anymore. If someone isnt an elite it seems all you do is piss on them. And if you are going to kick someone from a room grow some balls and ask them to leave before you kick them. you obviously dont care about offending people so why hide when it comes to this area? in short. you're a dick. if you take offense over this I wouldnt be surprised but my guess is you wont be offended just for the sole reason that you know this. I have never seen anyone act as immature as you. I wont name names but many other people in the clan feel the same way that I do. so Mr. "Icon" Shaq-fu off

so could what Jimmie said to el bobo. but he felt it neccesary to insult members of the clan and now he's trying to make it sound like the clan is exclusive. last I heard on the policy was you post your GT here and request to be in the clan and as long as you show up regardless of skill you wont be kicked out. elitism isnt something that should be present in the clan. it causes stress which in turn causes competition between team members to stand out, and discourages a friendly community.

Thanks. And to what Girion said, I hope it's not based on skill because I haven't played that much. Not that I'm horrible and totally lacking skill whatsoever, but I'm nowhere near most of you I'm sure.

I think he more took issue with the fact that the guy was on the fence about joining. I know I don't want people joining that may just leave in a week to rejoin their old clan it cheapens our clan if that happens. I'm pretty sure we can all agree that we want 100% committed players joining our clan
 
I agree with the 100% commited but you also have to allow for people that would like to play with the clan and get a feel for it before they decide if they want to join. like if they can get along with the people in the clan.

You don't have to be in the clan to play with everyone. On non practice nights a lot of non cags play in our rooms. Playing with everybody like that was the final straw in me leaving the DCR clan and joining CAG. I got sick of having to leave when the room got full of clan members

Seriously some people in this clan need a life. Its just a game folks you are taking this game way too seriously. Just because you hit level 15 doesn't mean you win $50,000. To many level nerds in this clan. What ever happened to the fun and making friends/meeting people?

Personally ratings are the worst thing in Halo 2 people don't want to have fun anyone they just want to see a big number next to their name to impress people but the thing is nobody cares.

Every competitive team is going to have people of that mindset. They need people like that, just as much as they need cool, level-headed leaders. Without people like Jimmie or Mooky, this clan would not be as successful as it is now. I think you are making a vast generalization when you say "too many" though. People only concerned with rankings and not with fun are the minority in this clan. Frankly, I can't think of one person in the clan who isn't about fun. Sorry it isn't your kind of fun.

If I really cared about my rankings, I'd be off playing rumble pit and head to head all the time, and not expect anyone else to cover my six in a game. Part of the enjoyment of playing in a clan is the teamwork that you put together to accomplish a common goal. That's what I enjoy, even with the ass-handing we had last night, which was pretty damn bad, it makes me work to do better the next time.

Have Mooky, Jimmie and others in the clan helped my gameplay? Without a question, I'll be the first to admit it.

Do they say and do things that sometimes piss me off? Of course. I do the same things myself, at times. I had weeks and weeks of "Look, it's Shrike, it's nothing to worry about", and hearing it enough had me clamp down and make myself better. Now, I don't think I hear it much anymore, if it at all.

Would it be better if they didn't do things that piss me off? I suppose, though it wouldn't necessarily make a difference, since there's always someone in any group that'll do it. It's human nature.

Would I get pissed off if I was booted out of a room without a single word edgewise? Of course. Was it right? No. Does it matter in the huge scope of things? To me, no. To someone else, maybe.

There's plenty of days where I'm not playing with the "elites" or whatever we want to call them, the better players than me. There's also plenty of days that I'd prefer to play with them, though I'd rather play with everyone in the clan that just a small group, since I'd rather know what anyone in the clan is capable of doing than just a small group. I try to gather up the single players & odd-numbered players when the clan's online and try to get them together and do something as a group. It's the only way we'll get better.

Should some of the stuff in the last couple of pages be done in PM? I'd say so, yes, though not everyone thinks the same way.

We're all a group put together to do one thing, play Halo 2 online, try to win as many as we can, and make ourselves more cohesive as a group. Yeah, it's not perfect, though what the heck is perfect? We work with what we have and move forward from there.

It basically means slow/dim-witted. Next time you're at the grocery store, look for people walking around with their mouths open. It does look rather ridiculous. Bonus points if you can actually hear them breathing through their mouth and not their nose.
