A former Gator who blows? Yup.
Only the QBs are shitty in the NFL, everyone else is golden.

Yeah, I know. Lucky for the Bears, Minnesota is probably the DUMBEST team in the league. What a joke.

I'm sure they'll probably try to sign Chris Simms in the offseason, only adding to their idiocy.

C'mon, we traded up to take a QB in the draft that nobody even cared about. We are bound to play him sometime. Until then, we got rockstar Brooks Bollinger to take care of business. Sure, maybe he has gotten sacked on 3/4ths of his plays this year, but he only has 1 pick in like 10 attempts.
No, Drew Bledsoe :p
I'd take him, because when we replace him the new QB is bound to be a star.

BTW, I missed some of the game, did the Bears get a safety now too?

Yeah, Fason's a moron. ran outside off tackle instead of inside. They should be starting Jackson at QB.
Guess who benched RBush for Deuce? **dies**
Thank god I put in JCotch and Marv :D
It's not like Bush has played amazing, all TD's have been within 5 yards, and i'd say 3 come from poor tackling.
hahahahahahhahaah Indy loses to Tenn.
Tennessee is looking good late this season and for the future. What an amazing kick. Didn't the Bucs also have a 60+yd FG to win a game earlier this season?

I'm already looking forward to the off-season to see if the Colts finally do something about the rush defense. 'Cause this nonsense fans keep hearing each week from the team that "we just have to tackle better" isn't cutting it. They're getting thrown around and can't get off blocks.

And to the Bears...please, get Griese in as a starter. I can't stand to watch Grossman fuck it up. The special teams and defense deserve someone who won't fuck things up for them.

Yeah, TB kicked a 62 yard fg against us to win the game. Start of the end of our season with McNabb getting hurt and all the screw ups and injuries.

63 yards, actually ;)
Grossman needs to be benched.
QFT. And as a Gator fan, it pains me to say that. But probably not as much as it pains Bears fans to watch him throw INT after INT.
Wow, the Lions really know how to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, don't they?
Sure do, Unfortunately they've been doing it for more than a few years now...

Didn't watch today's game but looking at the box score it certainly supports the draft a Qb to replace Kitna theory.

Without a doubt, this has been the worst year for the Bucs since I started following them in about 94-95. It's one thing when your offense sucks (which all Bucs fans have grown accustomed to), but when the defense is this bad it makes it that much worse.

I'm all for the Bucs tanking it the rest of the season. Hopefully, the can draft a franchise quarterback like Brady Quinn. They just need to play worse than the Lions, Raiders, & Browns. The injuries and ridiculously difficult schedule have only made it more challenging. It's definitely been the worst season for the Bucs in a long time, but not the most disapointing. I still think the 2003 season after the Super Bowl was the toughest to endure because they wasted the talent and opportunity to repeat as champs. Gruden has showed no consistency during his coaching tenure and I think he will be on the hot seat next year if they don't make the playoffs.

I think Brady Quinn is going to be a bust in the NFL. I think people see Charlie Weis and the name "Brady" and get a little too giddy. He's good, but I just get a bust vibe from him.

That's a good point but I think since Quinn plays in an NFL-style offense he gets a lot of the hype, just like Palmer & Leinart at USC. I'm not saying he would be a great fit for the Bucs, but there is no question they need to get a quarterback who's going to lead that team. They have nice talent all over the offense, but they need a quarterback that can run Gruden's offense. It's hard to say what quarterback will be great or a bust especially in the first round.

I think running a Weis offense gives him closer to the NFL than most college QBs and he's a four year starter at a top-ranked university. Ypu can't teach a rookie that kind of experience. I think he needs to be in the right offense like any other rookie QB, but honestly I don't see a team like the Bucs as one of those good fits though.

That season was tough. They were the unanimous NFC Super Bowl pick and it seemed like they would be unstoppable. The infamous Colts game is where that season ended.

I've never liked Jon Gruden as the Bucs coach. He rode the coattails of Tony Dungy to the Super Bowl and was lucky that he played the team that rode his, and still used his system!

I say the Bucs go after a good veteran QB this offseason. The defense can still be patched up; I just hope they don't dismantle the team just yet.

My guess is they go after Jake Plummer. I know you said good, but they've got an odd judgement for good.

Yeah, I was just thinking about him. I don't want another Rob Johnson in Tampa.
Maurice Jones-Drew is a MAN!
Yes, he is a man...was their any doubt ;)

Anyways, onto the Lions. What a horrendous game. Turnovers were an absolute mess. They still are going to stick with Kitna, what a mess. He throws the ball up for grabs on 3rd down on a final drive....what was he thinking.

Also, when McCown is the 3rd receiver on some plays, that is just WRONG. Yes, he did make a couple cathes, but he should be THROWING the ball.

As for the DRAFT....I'm not sure who to draft if I was the Lions. A QB does nto seem to be the answer...Brady Quinn is overrated. Troy Smith does not seem NFL ready to me....who else?

FIRE MILLEN!

draft OL.. your d is decent if they weren't on the field for 35 mins... your rb and qb will benefit from a revamped line.

ESPN needs to stop trying to get QB's fired. I can't even believe they have the balls to go after Delhomme. They act like going to a Super bowl and the NFC Championship game within 3 years is nothing.

He does kind of suck though. :)

I've got a resume of Fantasy Games he's lost for me as a reference.

I don't care about stats, only W's;)

He has one of the best playoff QB ratings of all time so he isn't a slouch, plus he has had three really great years as QB here (the 7-9 2004 season was much better than its record as the comeback that team had was great). He also is one of the best at leading a team back in the fourth quarter.

The running game hasn't been there all year and Steve Smith isn't getting the big play like he has in the past. That is the big problem along with stopping teams in the fourth quater (Carolina tends to lead every game in the fourth quarter only to lose somehow).

The funny thing is that apparently they (ESPN) don't know who's behind Delhomme on the depth chart - Chris Weinke. Yeah, like that's going to be a upgrade. It's not like they have an established veteran or young guy waiting in the wings behind Delhomme. He's pretty much the only choice Carolina has.

Delhomme just needs to stop taking so many risks with the game on the line. The Panthers also need to forget the whole running up the middle style of play, neither Foster or Williams are suited for that type of running game. They have speed backs and speed receivers in Smith and Carter. They need to be stretching the field, not trying to pound through it.

If Carolina doesn't win tonight they don't deserve to make the playoffs as much as I hate saying it. Philly is banged up and a shell of their former self. This game should be considered an easy win for a team with so much talent.
The Panthers need to see if Stephen Davis has a few games left in his old legs and give him a call.
I think he's playing for the Rams this year.
He hasn't retired yet? He's getting up there.

:oldman:
He got drafted at the young age of 55. He has a coupe more years left in him :)
