That's not his fault. Someone from the Tennessee sideline threw a banana peel onto the field. I just know it. A number one pick can't slip that badly trying to tackle a QB.

Looking at my spreadsheet, it looks like I went 8-8 last week, and am 6-4 so far this week. I nailed the correct week where Chicago would clinch the division, too.

Glad to see the Jets are losing. I hate how all the "experts" jumped on this team's bandwagon; they still suck. And how the hell do they hold a tie-breaker over the Jags? Jacksonville annihilated them (I know it goes by conference or division record, but that's pretty lame).

For whatever reason, I'm really excited about the Cowboys/Saints game tonight.

Alex Smith...what do I say? I don't want to be that guy that says "fuck you, you should be cut" but damn, today and last week, really have not helped his cause.

Vernon Davis has played well.
Maurice Jones-Drew, rookie of the year?
Depends how long it takes the WR from New Orleans to come back. Right now, the top 3 are Jones-Drew, Colston (sp), and Young according to many people.

I just hope Drew's play can get me to and win the SB for my fantasy football money league.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Young. I knew Colston was the frontrunner but he's been out for a while, so we'll see how that turns out.

Also, the Colts are only going to win one more game this season (including playoffs).

Looks like LT got the record earlier than I thought he would've. Also is Leon Washington like half injured or something? Seems like the past few weeks the Jets are giving him the ball less and less despite his decent play mid-way through the year (especially for a rookie).

Haven't seen any games today, but first impressions:

Indy's has no shot at a Super Bowl anymore. Chicago has a great shot at it, though San Diego's almost a sure bet.
New England's about as erratic as they've been all season.
Tennessee looks like an underdog playoff team next year.
Oakland vs. Detroit for the #1, but who's that pick?
Also, the Colts are only going to win one more game this season (including playoffs).
Agreed. Now to dig up some Mel Kiper insight and see how the draft projects defensively late in the 1st.

can someone take me to the woodshed and kill me as a texans fan. VY and RB beating the fucking dead horse to the maximum. Man, what could had been for reggie bush in a texans jersey.

man, the pupil is killing the teacher (Sean Payton beating Bill Parcells). Also, why has Roy Williams still hasn't gotten the memo about not doing anymore of those horse-collar tackles. Sean Payton is a gutsy man

The Cowboys were due for a letdown. They have been playing out of their minds for weeks and to think it would continue much longer would have been unrealistic. I still think they will lock up the second seed in the playoffs though.

I agree not drafting VY was a mistake but RB on the other hand wouldn't have succeeded that well, they would've wanted him as an every down back and he can't do that, he doesn't run up the middle well at all. They'd just load the box with 7 and have a field day on RB.

I would throw Tampa Bay into that mix for the #1 pick in the draft. All three of those teams are needing quarterbacks also.
Damn, what did I miss?
He got pissed at how there is always smoke from the halftime show clouding everyone's vision at the beginning of the second half (especially in regards to domes).

no one can cirlce the wagons like the buffalo bills can. i have to say Aaron Schobel will be the new Phil Hansen of the Bills Defense..now to find the other book end...

Arizona, Indy, Tampa, NYG. That's who Dallas had played the last 4 games. This was no letdown. They played one of the best teams in the league and got smoked.

They're a game ahead of Philly and NYG (but could lose tiebreakers to both teams because of division record). They're a game behind the Saints, and have the same record as Seattle (who has a better conference record right now). The reality is that Dallas is fighting just to make the playoffs. If they beat Atlanta, they have an outside shot at the 2 seed. If they lose, they may not even get in.

GOOOO Detroit! Still in the lead for the top draft pick (I believe they have the tie-breaker over Oakland)....hopefully we can load up on some talent. Although, rumors are they are researching Brady Quinn....yikes. I do NOT want him....over-rated.

NO defense showed up for the first time all year. They are no where near as good as they played last night. Being familar with the Cowboys system helped them out immensely.

As far as the playoffs go, everyone in the NFC pretty much has a bunch of knockout games. The Cowboys would have to lose 2 out of 3 to even come close to losing their playoff spot because of schedule. They may not get the two seed, but I can't see them missing the playoffs.

No where near as good? They might even be a little bit better than they were last night. They lead the league in offense. They're playing without Joe Horn and their starting TE, and their star DT is suspended.

Reading comprehension.
look.. the guy has been sacked an about an avg of 55 times (68 times in 05) since he was drafted.. Your OL has never been good enough to give him time. It would be ridiculous to think that the reason the Texans are doing so bad was because of Carr..
Carr is part of the problem. The O-line problems are still a factor but Carr has been in houston for 5 years now and still hasn't gotten to be a decent starting QB. Carr can't throw the deep ball with regularity and accuracy, doesn't show any pocket awareness, fumbles the ball like he's Aaron Brooks, and still can't figure out defenses. Since someone brought up the his 69% completion %, i'll bring up that he has 1 TD, 3 INTs, 6 fumbles, and 4 for lost in the past 7 games. Out of all 32 teams, would he start for 11 teams? I think he can start for 8 at the most. I'm sorry but most people down in H-town thinks Carr is done for Houston. Who knows, Kubiak might ask Shanahan for Plummer.

Brady Quinn is over-rated as well IMO. Something i can't really point out just doesn't speak volumes as a NFL QB for Quinn

If Dallas loses to the Falcons they are in serious trouble. That would put them at 8-6 but the Saints, Eagles and Falcons would have them beat in head to head and the Giants have a better division record (they do play the Eagles again in 2 weeks though). Their saving grace is Detroit for the last game of the season and 9-7 will probably get them in.
Devin Hester is the new Dante Hall now, expect better?
i dont know better...his STs gave him straight up nice blocks and wide open spaces to get those returns...Dante Hall usually creates them himself. i remember the return he had against the broncos 2 years ago...That was the best run back i have ever seen....

That's also the last we've heard of him.

"The Detroit Lions are now on the clock"----->Every guy in the draft wishes he was invisible.
"The Detroit Lions are now on the clock"----->Every guy in the draft wishes he was invisible.
Then again, look at the Saints and Bengals. Both average franchises that just plain got better.
Dante Hall's better right now overall, he can play WR, Hester hasn't.
He played D a few downs in the 4th quarter last night, almost had an INT.

He played D on that Torry Holt 1 yard TD in the 1st also. Hester got a TD on him and he Even held Holt.
