If I play at all tomorrow it will be earlier. I have to be to work at 6:30 am on Friday so I have to get to bed earlier. Might be on around 6:30 MST until about 9pm.

Well, that sucks that you can't play, but family is much more important than a game. I hope you guys have a great holiday/Christmas, too. I'll be around.

I ended up coming down with some terrible flu-like bug over the weekend. I can play tonight, but I doubt I'll be up too late. Is anyone able to play before 10 PM EST or is that what most are planning on?

Respectable playoff run by the CAG team tonight after not having the full team together for a little while. We started the night 4-0-1 in regular games, before jumping into the playoffs. We trailed the first playoff game 1-0 with about :30 remaining, when we tied it up to send it into overtime. Near the end of OT, we scored the game winner.

In the second round, we dominated our opponent from the beginning and ended up beating them easily. The third playoff game, we just couldn't get anything going. We outshot the team 20-18, but lost 2-1. We were really hoping we'd make it to the final round, but it wasn't to be. I'd love to say we're going to improve next month, but for that to happen, we need everybody to play the game more often and make sure they keep their skills sharp. Otherwise, we're going to keep running into the same problems.

^I saw you guys on and was gonna join, but saw you had 5 and didn't want to bother you.. which was good since you were in playoffs and I didn't realize they had already geared up again... Nice work though, getting closer to glory.

Yeah, I saw you were on and FrankySox was on and in NHL too. It's too bad last night happened to be the night everybody could play. I'm hoping to play again on Thursday night though (assuming Friday will be busy for most everybody due to it being New Year's Eve). I'd really like to see some competition for these playoff roster spots though. We didn't do terrible in the playoffs, but the team that eliminated us had a 4-11 record...so that was definitely a game we could have and probably should have won.

I feel like some of us have gotten a little complacent with our spot on the team and our play has weakened. Obviously, the people who play the game most will have the best shot at making the playoff roster, but that doesn't mean spots are guaranteed. If there's a problem with people feeling like they can't get in on games because spots are full, we should extend the times of play on Tuesdays and Fridays. I know not everybody is able to play the full time, so getting people in earlier or later would be easy. It just takes a little effort. Hoping to see more in the new year.

I should be around Thursday night, and probably Friday as well. I had a rough night last night, just felt like i couldn't get it going offensively. Just a mini slump I guess. But hey, at least we know I can hurt myself blocking shots.

Negatory on my side since I'm going to play a pickup game till about 11 ish or so depending on the penalties. But if anybody is around Friday night, let me know. Not really celebrating New Years since the wife is working New Years day so she doesn't go to bed any later than 9pm.

Got done with a couple of real games at around 11 ish. Got in two pickup games with some buddies of mine. Actually scored two goals in one game and took a couple stupid penalties in the second game! :D. Anyways, I'll be on tonight to play as long as I don't have to go to the ER again since the wife has Kidney stones.

All right, they're long overdue. But I got the stats for December completed before the new year hit. Bear in mind, some of them are way out of whack this month due to boosting games to get people their Legend cards. I tried to clean them up a bit and cut the dead weight as well. The only club members listed are those who actually have stats to show. Translation: if you can't find your name, you haven't played with the team in four weeks. Enjoy!

December 2010 Stats

Also, in an effort to make compiling these stats easier each month, I started a big project that should be worth it in the long run. More details to come soon!

I couldn't make it cause my buddies said they got the rink for one more night. Considering the wife Had work, I went and played a couple more games. So my bad. I should be good for Tuesday how ever. ALSO, Don't forget about the Winter Classic today!

Yeah, sorry I couldn't play last night, guys. My wife and I met on New Year's, so if I didn't kiss her when the ball dropped, my balls probably would have ascended, lol. I'm anxious to see how we do this coming season though. We put together a pretty damn good run once the games didn't count anymore. Hopefully that wasn't a fluke.

Oh, one more note about the stats from last month, for those wondering exactly how skewed they are by the boosting games, really only FO%, OFF, and Give/Take are affected. GP, G, A, P, etc. were all pulled from club games only.

I feel decent about my stats, still need to even out Give/Take ratio.
statnut is a fucking takeaway beast!

nice couple games today guys, squeaked by on that last one. thank god my wrist shot got through the defenseman screen.

Nice little impromptu hockey brunch this morning, haha. Brandon and Destro were on, and we played a few games, going 4-1, with our only loss being a game where our goalie allowed 4 goals on 9 shots (bravo, EA). But the good news is we're now 5-4 on the season and are currently in the Elite division. Now all we gotta do is stay there for another 26 days! haha :)

Anyone up for some hockey tonight? Even if it's just a game or two, I need to take a couple replay photos for the project I'm working on.
What time did you have in mind?
Any time, really. I mean, if we're looking at actually playing a few games tonight, I could do 10 PM EST. But if somebody had 20 minutes to spare to just run a quick one (even a practice would work), I could hop on now. Either one works for me.

I looked up that elite team from last night that we "glitched" with a rebound goal, and the angry voice message guy left the team shortly afterwards
^ haha maybe he is their Magic
Hahaha, very funny.

Late happy New Year's to everybody. Congrats on making the Elite Division!

^I wasn't trying to be funny, the way he acted leaving us messages, I figure he probably has had a few episodes with his own team and might leave and rejoin from time to time.

I got no beef with you.

Sorry I havn't played Recently, but ever since my birthday, I've been falling asleep at 7 pm and waking up around 2 or 3 am. Of course if you guys are still on then or my old ass can stay up later, I want to play.
I really want to play tomorrow if we can start earlier.
10 PM EST is 7 PM for you, Matt. That's considered late? How do you manage to go to hockey games if you're not up much later than that? I'm not against starting a little earlier. But let's define what "earlier" is so we can figure out who can even play then.

EDIT - Also, just wondering if everyone could post the height and weight for their skater. Just trying to gather more statistical info for the team.

Haha, well we all know how slimming the ice can be ;)

By earlier, I meant the old time of 8 Eastern. I usually stop playing games by 8 or 9 P.M., as I said before. I'm usually asleep by 11. I get home from the hockey games between 10-10:30 most nights.

If only that were true IRL :D

I plan on hitting 350 to 300 this year to get ready for the next year so I can hopefully buy a good pair of Hockey pants and not just a used pair.

When i'm D, my guy is 6'3", 215. Forward, 5'8", 175.

Whats the time for tonight? Had to work early today and will have to work early tomorrow, so I won't be on too late.

Well, Alan and I played for about 2 hours by ourselves. No offense, Matt, but that's pretty much the exact reason starting at 8 is retarded. Not that we didn't have a good time, but it was just the two of us playing against random teams of two and getting screwed by our AI for most of the game (even though we went 3-1). So much for "really wanting to play".
