Yeah, I'm inclined to support cool DLC too. Just wish the smaller cars weren't at a disadvantage. They could make them a little faster, I guess. But then that probably opens up an NHL-like player class can of worms.

In HUT related news, I've been trying to pick up some Movember cards hoping they'll get upgrades soon. I grabbed Streit earlier this week (4 points away from 400), and just picked up Steen today (3 goals away from 200).

Hoping those will both happen. I also sold my TOTW Forsberg and grabbed his Movember, hoping he'll make the U23 TOTY.

I thought he might get a POTG since he scored a natural hat trick the other night, but I guess that's really clearly defined. Forwards have to get 4 points and win. Defensemen need to get 3 points and win. Would be nice if he'd get a couple points tonight against Chicago and secure a TOTW.
 
Streit is a bust. Hasn't had a point for almost 15 games.

I have actually made a killing off the Movember cards with the upgrades. Really worked the market for them and Some I bought way below price as they then got upgraded and just sold them for a ridiculous price. Made back triple what I paid for about 5 of them.

Also, yeah PRE hockey tonight. Because the Alumni game is on tomorrow night and I'm not missing that at all.

Yeah, but doesn't that just mean he's DUE? ;) There was talk of him being traded. And 4 points is close enough that I took a chance. I think I got him for like 24K. It's not any more of a waste of coins than buying packs, haha.

And that's a good list, but most of the guys that are close cost way more than I've got now. But my team is pretty set anyway. I decided not to replace Tyler Johnson unless these Movember cards somehow pay off crazy dividends and it put me in Ovechkin territory.

I also did some comparisons with Kronwall to even some 89 OVR LD, and his numbers are surprisingly competitive (and some even superior). He's gotta be one of the highest rated 87s in the game. I did sell Pietrangelo though and picked up a TOTW Seth Jones for around the same price. But Jones is way faster and has a better shot.

So, mostly, I'm just dicking around with coins with no real purpose now.

 
After selling the Movember coins earlier, I'm up to the 900k mark. It has paid off.

Also, TOTW Muzzin is honestly a steal at 25k. He outshines TOTW Josi, base Doughty, and POTG McDonagh. Once people find this out, his price will skyrocket. I stocked up on a few.

Wow...you've got enough to basically finish all of the NHL collections. Pittsburgh and Chicago might run you a little higher than that...but not by much.

And you are 100% right about Muzzin. I looked up that card on HUT Plaza yesterday and his numbers are crazy for an 88 OVR...even higher than TOTW Jones. I thought about picking him up, but 2 of my 3 LD are "CANNOT TRADE"s (McDonagh and Kronwall...well, and Giordano, but he's a healthy scratch right now, haha). My other LD is Bourque, and he's not going anywhere. :)

I think everybody did figure it out though. There's only one Muzzin available right now, and his price is 40k.

Prices on Mark Streit Movember are up. His last sold is at 58,000 now. I've seen people on the EA forums talking about selling the Movembers right BEFORE somebody gets an upgrade. I don't understand what the logic there is though. Wouldn't somebody who's willing to pay that much just be doing it for the upgraded player anyway? Why not sell once the upgrade is a sure thing?

 
The only thing I can think of, is that once the upgrade does get applied, market will get flooded with supply as people try to offload him. First few sold will probably be high, but the price would quickly drop if supply goes up.

But also, im not an economist, so I could be blatantly wrong.

That seems as reasonable of a theory as any. I guess if you assume there are more in circulation than there appear to be, and people are just waiting for "final upgrades" before selling, then yeah...there would be a bunch listed at the same time and people would drive each other's prices down.

I'm going to hold out a little longer on unloading Streit though. It took him a while to get one of those last four points he needed. If he somehow gets hot and picks up 3 points in one game, I'll just list him as fast as I can, haha. It is crazy to see him selling for 30,000 coins higher than I paid though.

Exactly as Alan said, because of the influx. Take my Giroux for example. Got him for a steal at 100k last night, he netted his 500th point today and I sold him 3 hours before his game and made 400k on him.

Yeah, and what a night for special cards/milestones it was. Philly scored 4 goals and Mark Streit assisted on 3 of them. So, not only did he get his 400 points, but he should get a POTG for the 3 points as well. I seriously can't believe he got 3 points in one game. I basically called it, lol.

I don't think anybody expected it though because there was no time to "sell your card before the market gets flooded". I checked last night and there were 19 Movember Streits available, and people were already undercutting each other. I might just wait for that first wave of hysteria to pass, and then see if I can an honest price for him after that. Either way, he should be an 88 or 89.

Additionally, Filip Forsberg scored his second natural hat trick in 3 games...but did notch his 4th point this time. So, he'll get a POTG as well. And really, it should lock up a TOTW for him...but I'm not sure if they'll give him both. His highest is an 87 TOTW right now. They should do 88 POTG and then 89 TOTW.

Rinne also got the shut out in the game...giving him 40, so he should have a Milestone card coming.

Also, bought MOV Stone for 30k and sold him for 80k. He's got a huge chance of being on TOTY. Also, don't look forward to a TOTW for him at all. EA still has no clue what to do with the TOTW players and who really deserves it.

I would agree with you, but EA has to pay a little attention to Nashville since Rinne got the milestone. And the team is really on a roll right now. 6-1-3 in their last 10 games...and points in 9 straight games. And this was probably one of their toughest stretches of the schedule. In the last 10 they've played, Washington, Tampa, Florida, Dallas, Boston, LA, Montreal (though they turned to shit when Price went down), Chicago, and St. Louis.

That said, you're probably right, lol. EA Spertz.

Well, POTG is super rigid from what everybody on the EA forum says. 3 points in a win for a defenseman gets one. 4 points in a win for a forward gets one.

 
Kucherov has had 4 points in one game with a win and nothing. Still doesn't excuse his TOTW card though.

MFW I sold my duplicate Movember Ekblad ages ago for like 25k because I didnt think he'd get any boosts this season D:

Luckily I had an untradeable one, so at least I can still utilize that one.

Nashville continues to roll, knocking off Dallas 5-3 last night. The Preds are 7-0-3 in their last 10. I just hope they can keep this chemistry/momentum/energy/whatever you want to call it into the playoffs.

Also, Shea Weber returned after missing the last three games. He notched a goal and two assists, earned 1st star, and took a slap shot that hit Kari Lehtonen in the nuts...

I've been to a handful of stars games this year and believe that they will never win a cup with those two in net. They both let in way too many soft goals and give up too many rebounds.
 
Well, I mean, Bishop let in tons of soft goals in the playoffs, but Tampa still made it to the finals. Just depends how badly the Stars want it. They have a great team this year. Hell, Crawford is the worst for soft goals, but damn it, he has a ring now.

My buddy actually makes openers for teams. I have quite a few made. He taught me as well. Very easy.
