From a morning update n00b....Does the update generally for from 7-8 EST, or is it more like 7-7:30? I'd hate to go to (back to) bed now, and miss a mass-update in the last 20 minutes of it...
One update.

Debated on getting Magi Nation, finally hit submit to order. Got pulled from my cart.
sorry dude, that might have been me. I've been stalking for weeks and ordered the minute I saw it this morning. (didn't even stop to check stock level first, or even CAG to see if the update had happened!)

Eh, no worries. I need to stop impulse buys anyway. If I had to stop to debate if I wanted it, I most likely don't.

Enjoy it. ;)

It just depends. Lately, it's been around 7:15 - 7:30 ET. For awhile it was right around 7:30 consistently. It just varies, that's why we say 7-8 to play it pretty safe.
This isn't happening for me...it still shows 14.99. Anyone else get it to drop by adding to cart?
The Used version.
This isn't happening for me...it still shows 14.99. Anyone else get it to drop by adding to cart?
The pre-owned version drops for $26.99 to $12.99 after you add it to your cart. That's before coupons, too.
Got Splatterhouse 2, Gaiares, and Ninja Warriors. Had Aerobiz Supersonic and a few other things yanked from the cart.
Nice grabs. You must have gotten Splatterhouse 2 before I could get to it.
Got Splatterhouse 2, Gaiares, and Ninja Warriors. Had Aerobiz Supersonic and a few other things yanked from the cart.
I had Aerobiz yanked as well. That's a tough one to get since it pops up so early when you're searching.
Is that not a great deal on FF3? Or super metroid?
For Final Fantasy 3, it is decent after coupons. You can find it cheaper if you look around though (I picked it up for $20 at a Game Crazy).

For Super Metroid, that is an awful price. I got a complete one for like $15.50 shipped off eBay.
I know it's not a new addition, but..

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/224763.asp

This game is insanely fun for the $9 pricetag. I thought it would suck, and I was pleasantly surprised.
This truly is a great game . . . terrific 3-D adaptation. It has been cheap new . . . but that's been months and stock may be depleted.

Great story and music.

Anyway . . . action-platform fans and old-schoolers should play this game!
Bard's Tale is $9 after all the codes.
Arg. I've been waiting for this and now OOS... Oh well at least people who haven't played it can enjoy iy.

shocked in a way there was an update. I woke up at 620 am central (after going to sleep at 330 am central watching Blockbuster movies) o well maybe tomorrow and get Bards tail for 9
I do not BUY Metal Gear Solid 3 even it goes down $10 cuz my money for Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsitance :)
Yeah, but it will a year before it is in the $15 range. (which is close to being my only way I will buy any game range)
Some portable goodness. Games popular in this thread before.

Crystalis 7.99
I bought this a month ago, played most of the way through it, and I have a question. Is it my memory playing tricks on me, or are a lot of the areas in the game much smaller than they are on the nes version? I was twleve when I last beat it, so it could simply be my perception that has changed.

I think I actually enjoyed this more when I wasn't completely lost in a dungeon, but it made the game feel much shorter.
I just heard about Rez, how often does it come in and at what price?
I haven't seen it since I bought it at least 5 months ago. If it were to ever show up in stock it would be $27.74 AC.
How do you check the quantities of an item?
Enter 100 in your cart and update it. If there's less than 100, it will autochange it. To say, 84. Or 12. Or how many there are. It comes in handy. It's a nice feature

anyone order this and get one yet?

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/256222.asp

it says it's a pre-owned SONY battery pack for psp for $9.99. Im curious if its actually a real battery, or one of those power bricks. I know sony doesn't make one (pelican does), plus sony's new spare batteries are $40, so $10 used seems kinda low.

I called EB and they didn't know what it was either. The guy emailed the wherehouse to let me know, but never got back to me.
This is why I jumped on the $12.99 . . . whatever reason they did it . . . I half-way figured it wouldn't be that low for awhile.
I jumped on it then too, absolutely one of my most favorite video game experiences. It came in the mail right after I finished MGS2 so everything was fresh in my mind storywise. MGS3 is one of the few games I played through twice in most recent memory. I think waiting for Subsistence is a bad idea when you can play through it now, then when you play Subsistence you'll be able to see the changes and additions more clearly without missing a drop of MGS love. I'll probably finally pick up Substance while waiting for Subsistence to come out and drop in price.
I just heard about Rez, how often does it come in and at what price?
I haven't seen Rez in probably 6-8 months now. It and Valkyrie Profile are probably the two hardest to come in stock games on EB's site.

Actually, I believe the GBC version is bigger than the original game. The guys who brought it over added some cutscenes (and digitized speech) and an additional dungeon. Other than that, I believe it's a straight port.

It's amazing how different some games are when you go back and play them after a decade or two. Every time I buy a retro collection, I'm positively amazed at how easy some games seem (e.g. beating my all-time high score in one sitting), while other games seem well nigh impossible.

I guess some of it is due to the different types of gameplay that are required out of us today. Quick reflexes and memorization are far less important these days. And of course, games that seemed epic back in the day also fit on a cartridge that has less memory than a cell phone does today...

Does anyone have a clue what this is?

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/189195.asp

Only 2 left.

Is something to cover your Gameboy or it is something to hold your games?
It's only $2.41.

Edit: According to EB it's made by Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, which makes many promotional and licensed items.

After looking over their site, I'm guessing it's a Gameboy Color case with a Pokemon Gold/Silver theme.

Well, I just ordered it, so we'll see. It didn't allow me to use SAVER, I had to add a used game for that :( .

Well crap. Ordered 9 games last week, got em in today and only 2 were complete. Those are the breaks I guess. But I did get the bonus disc for R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 so I'm happy nonetheless. I was under the impression that there was no way I'd get that from EBGames.

EDIT: ....grrrr...the bonus disc is cracked in half...wtfbbq...

I'm still waiting for a used copy of Starwars Battlefront for the PS2 to come back in stock. I had one ready to order when EB had that error with the coupons, but someone else had gotten it. Still got Burnout 3 and Red Dead Revolver for $9.36 each though. :)
