Is Driving Emotion Type S any good for $3?
I played a friend's copy a long time ago and I personally thought it was absolute rubbish. The driving engine was horrible, there was nothing unique about the game. There are loads of better driving games out there for not much more cash.
Is Driving Emotion Type S any good for $3?
It's okay. I bought it when it dropped down to $5, but have since traded it back in. Few courses, few cars, and nothing distinctive in terms of style or gameplay. For a couple dollars more, there are a number of better racers out there.
does anyone check out the gamecube games? I just realized that I don't ever seem to see any GC games posted...maybe it's just my imagination.

on a side note, I'll miss my roommates GC when I move out. But I guess I'll survive til Revolution.
I check Gamecube games every morning. The pickings are usually quite slim through.

IMO this is a solid FPS for the GBA. I got my GBA about 2 1/2 years ago and picked this up along with it. Still play it till this day.
I'll second that. For that little money, the game is definitely worth picking up.

I've never had the chance to try the link play - I think I might be the only one I know who owns this one - but I've heard that it's very well done.

I picked up 3 copies of Ballistic Ecks vs Sever 2 for $3.99 b/c before Christmas. This game is really cool and the muliplayer is really good. I would expect the same in the first one.

Has anyone tried the multiplayer on this? Is it any good? Every time I see it, I'm tempted to pick up multiple copies.

*EDIT*

Damn, this should teach me to read to the end of the thread before I post.

And I'll third this. Great FPS and it is very well done. For an FPS on the GBA, it didn't bother me at all like some of them (mostly the Bond games). Another one that I would recommend is either of the Dooms or Dark Arena, which I think can be had on the cheap.

And now it's time for my usual late morning update of the leftovers and whatever I can find that I think is interesting and/or someone might want/like.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/211320.asp - Bionic Commando (GB classic) - $7.99 Probably not as good as the one on GBA that comes in and out of stock.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/185309.asp - $17.99 (Dreamcast) Havne't seen this one in in a while. Kind of pricey though, but after codes it should be something like $13.50 shipped. not bad and it's definitely a great fighter and on the system that was meant for fighters.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/211430.asp - Contra Alien Wars (GB classic) - $7.99 I know there are more than one Contra fan out there here.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/203460.asp - Doom (GBA) $29.99, extremely pricey IMO for a used GBA game, even after codes, but somebody might really really want it and it's supposedly one of the rarer games for the system (one of the few). One note, I have seen this one come in stock for a while.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/204949.asp - this one's still in and at $5.99. Not too bad, but I'm not sure if this one is any good though. i see it always coming in and out of stock.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/133451.asp

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/205349.asp - Mega Man X2 $5.99

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/139891.asp - $4.99

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/207526.asp - Interesting thing to note on this one is thatmy friend recently picked this one up from the CC sale and it has a totally different cover. Did this game come out with two different covers/versions?

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/209300.asp - $2.99 (GBC) I'm sure somebody out there wants this classic of a game, NSync Get to the Show ;)

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/216073.asp - Sumo Fighter Sounds interesting for $5.99 (GB classic)

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/127395.asp - $7.99

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/208727.asp - $4.99

All prices listed are B/C.

Hey, definitely a lurking newbie here, but I think there is way too much Gamestop hate floating around. They have perpetual 15-25% coupons floating around, and about once a month throw out a 'buy 1 preowned over $30, get 1 preowned under $30 free.' This is the same online store where I got Lunar:SSSC, Lunar:EB (both complete, with everything), Suikoden I, Breath of Fire III and IV, Dragon Warrior VII, Legend of Mana and about ten copies of Tales of Destiny II and Disgaea (only two of the 20 or so ordered were disc(s) only) over the past year. Granted, I have never seen Valkyrie Profile, Rhapsody or Suikoden II in stock in my year of checking, but with said sales, I have made lots of money reselling these games (with the awesome Disgaea/ToDII with the B1G1 free deal costing $42, and netting around $85 on half after commission.

Additionally, I think what you guys do here is just amazing, so keep up the awesome work.

Um...do what you will, but if that's how you feel, keep your mouth shut, or you'll be run out of this site. If you're going to use this topic to hoard games and re-sell them for personal gain while screwing everyone else that uses it as a resource in the process, then...well, we'll let the jury decide.

Granted, I don't expect you to do that, but still.

Personally, the thing I hate about GameStop is how they list the out-of-stock items. I like to see it there at EBGames and know I can buy it, not have false hopes every time I check a site. Plus...it's 25% off every single preowned purchase you make. PLUS free shipping. If you're like me, and only order a game or two at a time (especially when they're cheap games), shipping -- even at a mere $2 -- can absolultely kill the deal.

Aww shit. Great another hoarder. Do us all a favor and stick to Gamestop, no you know what, just don't do the hoarding. If you don't want to play the games, then why do this. A ton of those I would love to play but they cost too much. No, tnote82 there isn't too much Gamestop hate going around, but I do hate you:bomb::bomb::bomb::bomb:

I prefer Gamestop's method. At least I can use the find in local store function, even if it shows OOS. But the no-guarantee of cases makes it rare that I order a game from them.

I got Breath of Fire III in the mail from EB today..disc only, no case, manual, nothing. Would have been fine if the disc was in mint condition...but the disc has a big scratch/scuff on it and some more scratches. I think I will return to B&M. Another reason I feel comfortable ordering from EB.

The only purchasing I do for resale involved Disgaea/ToD II, as they were the only 'rare' games I saw that were not on back order immediately after placing an order. And as a point of reference, you have a much, much better chance at getting games checking eBay than you do checking EB or Gamestop. There is not a single game I have ever wanted that I have not been able to find for $60 shipped or less, and given that most of the rarer PS games are $40 and up anyways at EB/Gamestop, AND never in-stock...

I am not a big fan of being hated for my attempts to let people know that the rarer games everyone is pining for can be found at Gamestop, but hey, if I am going to be hated for creating my gaming income through game sales, then so be it.

also regarding Rez.. got a disc only copy from a game rush for 12 bucks.. (well it was complete except no manual.. so not all that crappy).. i hope its one of those they find a "warehouse" full of.. heh..

hey.. but since you bought 300000 copies of a certain title that you DON"T intend to play you took it away from people who would have played it.. that is not very nice and very lame.. you should never get into games for profit. be a wholeseller if you want profit.. flipping is silly.. and this isn't the thread to say "i got 20 copies of such and such" this is for EB related items...

geez.. don't you realize that we hate you because you take the FUN out of purchasing and finding games at EB and gamestop.

and if you're "income" is flipping then you must live a very poor life.

No, my gaming income is from said activities. My actual income goes to things that are necessities, like rent, electricity, food, and car insurance. Ooh, can't forget the internet either.

And I did not buy some mythical number of copies, I bought ten. And this was not all done at once, this was done over the span of many months. Which then raises the point that if somebody really wanted a chance to play the game, they had numerous, numerous chances to do it. Additionally, I am now done defending myself, as this is way off-topic.

I assure you you never have to worry about me looting EB of anything, as I a) would never loot anyways, and b) would never go out of my way to awake before the sun to acquire a video game. Y'all talk about how the updates have less than five added for the rarer games (if they ever get added), and I would not even get up that early under the promise of Valkyrie Profile or Rhapsody (the only two 'rare' games I want but do not have) being available if I did.
Good job sending me a Tomba! demo disc instead of Tomba!, EBGames.
i got sent a Half life manual in my xbox exhibition 2 gamebox the other day .. thank EB..
Good job sending me a Tomba! demo disc instead of Tomba!, EBGames.
Just call EB online and they should send you a pre-paid envelope for you to send it back/exchange. If you don't want to do that than you can always just go to a B&M store and ask for a refund.

Yeah, but if you're using credit from one of EBs trade-in deals, it can drive the out-of-pocket cost down.

id also like to mention... Doom for GBA rare?.. cool.. i got my copy from a pawn shop for 8 bucks.. now i think that was one of the best purchases i've made in a while.. i love that pawn shop.. heh.

you know, during the game crazy $5 classics sale, I also got sold a tomba demo disc. Man, who's accepting these trade-ins? are they some kind of idiot to fall for that trick? (Admittedly, they'd probably give you a quarter for trading in Tomba, so I suppose getting fooled isn't that great a loss for them.)

If I wanted to pay Ebay prices, I wouldn't use this site.

EB/Gamestop's prices are a lot better, when they have them in stock. I've saved at least hundreds over Ebay prices, and I could make a fairly high profit if I wanted to sell the part of my collection that came from EB. I get up early for work anyway, but if its not worth getting up early for you, thats fine, your sleep can be more important than saving a little money. I certainly wouldn't get up every day if I didn't have to anyway. I also sell games in order to pay for what I spend on games, really just to break even, I don't have a problem with people doing that.

If I really wanted a game without considering cost, or if I wanted it right now, then I'd go with Ebay. What things sell for on Ebay is considered the going rate for them, and you can occasionally get a deal if someone lists their items poorly. But I'd rather build up my collection cheaply and get the rarer games as deals come along, over time. Theres nothing wrong with going either way, I'm just cheap.

The Gamestop I work at just sold someone a MX Unleashed demo instead of the real game. As for who accepts those kind of trades I have to say anyone. It's hard to check every game (imagine having to check 12 games per transaction as happens sometimes with three people behind in line and your coworker trying to avoid opening another register by appearing to be busy). And they aren't getting fooled, just clever. I admire their brazen attempt at getting a few more dollars then they should.

As for who was comparing EBgames prices to Ebay I have but a few words, Princess Tomato.

about getting demos instead of real games . most the times the people working dont even know the difference between demos and real games. I went to gamecrazy and dude tried to tell me a DEMO is the real game on 4 different games. I didnt feel like talking to them after 20 mins so i said forget it. I went back a week later and all 4 were gone. Dont know if the manager pull them or some poor sab paid full price for demos
