Does anyone know if this is the price when it was first released?

I'm thinking of ordering one but I would hate to see it in the stores for less.

I guess that's the CAG in me.

I just placed an order at FYE.com but the emailed me back that they are not getting any more in. Anyone know of any places like warehouse.com that will be getting it in? I have been searching for this game forever and would really like a new copy for under $35.

Wherehouse got them in friday/saturday i assume and blew their load yesterday if you read the last couple pages....

Alot of people have said some b&m stores like TRU and Frys have got a copy or two in.....
 
Well I am on the east coast so no Fry's, and the only TRU by me had like 3 DS games in the enitire store, and they were crap games. I really hope somewhere else gets them in soon. I can't believe I missed this opportunity lol.

I have both too and I've forsaken everything (even NSMB and both brain games) and just playing PW. On Day 1 of Case 5 right now :cool:

Oh, I understand, but I only have these one copies... er... one of each. If I had more than one, I'd distribute for reasonable compensation (With an eye less on gouging than on making sure I'm not subsidizing you all. ;) ), but without an excess supply, I can do naught but laugh at your suffering.

Dang, with World Cup's early games and this, I'm going to be sleep-deprived. I started playing last night and by the time I looked up, it was 2 am... *yawns*

And yeah, I feel bad for people who missed on this re-re-release. The eBay price have come down a bit so if you want a US version and don't want to wait, you can probably get it for $40-45 shipped. A Japanese version (Best Price) can be had for $30 shipped for import shops or eBay.
 
Forget about Fry's Burbank. Totally no copies left.

At least I don't feel so dumb as my friend who just realized that he's LOST HIS COPY.

Got mine in today along with a coupon for $5 off any $50+ order. Sweet! Game works like a charm! Who cares about the Japanese box art and manual? The game still plays the same, as is the translation.

my Wherehouse order says "In Progress" until i click on it, and then it says Phoenix Wright is "backordered".

i for one, couldn't be more delighted. i love when stuff says "in stock" and then you order and it's totally not. seriously, woo hoo. i've got wood.
 
finally got phoenix wright... my mistake on the zipcode delayed the game.

ugh... after all that waiting (since june 15) i've started to lose interest in it... especially after the cc clearance! haha!

I chose the cheapest one. I think it was economy air bubble. Hope that helps. However I pre-ordered it almost a month ahead.

Mine's backordered too. =( They supposedly had a bunch when I ordered too.

That dosen't necessarily mean that we're all screwed though (just that we're probably screwed). The last new game that I ordered from them (Samurai Warriors Xtreme Legends), also showed up as `backordered' for a couple days until it shipped. At least for used games, if they don't have it it'll just come up as `cancelled.'
 
For anyone curious and lazy enough to not have checked yet like me...

"What is a backorder?
Items that go out of stock after they have been ordered will be marked "Backordered" on your packing slip. We hate when this happens too, and it almost always means we have just run out of that item and will have it in stock within a few days. Don't worry, you will not be charged for a Backordered item until it ships. When a backorder is finally shipped we will contact you by e-mail. An item will only remain on backorder for 5 days. After 5 days if a backordered item is not shipped it will automatically be cancelled. You can view the status of your order going to the My Account page."


Looks like 5 days out of stock and the order gets cancelled.... They don't charge you untill it ships UNLESS you pay with a debit card and then they charge and hold the $ from the time you place the order. Oh well if I REALLLLLLLLY wanted this I guess I shouldn't have sold my 1st copy.....
 
If I don't get mine from Wherehouse then I'll just order it from Play-Asia. I'd rather give Capcom of Japan my money anyway since the retards here in the US keep doing dumb shit like this (not producing enough copies to meet demand)... Can we get that cupon code? :)
 
Is there a substantial difference between the japanese one and the USA...I've read that you can select english on teh Japanese version. Is the difference that the USA is voiced in English????

The English option is the same as what we ended up getting here. If anything, the American version is the deficient one for not having a Japanese option.
 
It's the same. Folks say you get English text (same translation) and that the red "Objection!" and "Take That!" screens are in English. I assume the voiceover for those screens is spoken in English as well.

Wow I just received my copy from seekshopping today for around 29.50. Kinda surprised since when they delayed the order I thought it would be canceled eventually like most other stores did. Thanks for whomever posted the link.

ugh: Wherehouse won't let me cancel my order. hopefully, they won't have it in stock in another 3 days and they'll automatically cancel my order (never thought i'd say that). if they do ship it, i'm gonna have an extra copy that i'm gonna need to get rid of.

also, i demand free shipping out of this order, so i bought 2 from Capcom -- my pal says he wants this so he'd better be ready to cough up the dough when it arrives. 2 copies with tax came to $64.84, which is only 39 cents more per copy than what i paid Wherehouse.

Thanks for the post. I grabbed a copy as soon as I read the post. No tax and even though about $6 for shipping and up to 2 weeks for delivery worth it getting it right from Capcom. After picking up Trace Memory, Metroid Pinball, and Meteos from the CC sale. At TRU Tetris, Animal Crossing, and Metroid Prime Hunters from the B2G1 free deal plus $10 off from the $5 DS coupon my DS collection is near complete.

Okay, it took like 15 tries, but Capcom finally took my order. I think there is something wrong with either my CC's or Bank's file on me for my address since I changed it a month ago. Anyways, thank you very much for sharing this with us Blade70. No one tell Fatwallet....

Haha, as soon as I saw your post, I check GameFaqs for rats :)

I think Cheapy needs to do some IP banning. I understand that he wants good traffic on his site, but when people just go and tell GF about a deal, well... that's different. This happens more than you'd think.

I just hope there isn't a hoarder there or Capcom has enough in stock to ship out my two Phoenix Wrights because I'm scared that they'll say, hey, we actually don't have enough to ship out to you....even though it took you a while to finally get a chance to get it.
