Sounds good. ROH finally came back to Atlanta this past February after 4 years (since WM 27). I took a friend who had never watched ROH before and he had a great time. So good, in fact, we immediately bought first row ringside seats right after the show for their return in August. One of his friends saw the pictures he took and also bought a ticket based just on the photos alone. I was really surprised when they announced a return for just six months later. Early ticket sales must have been excellent and I guess they booked the facility ASAP.

Revolution-Hardys was fun. EY being called ONE OF THE GREATEST WRESTLERS OF ALL TIME was insane. Spud/Anderson vs. BDC was fun thanks to Spud. Love them using the old Rock and Roll Express partner toss. EC3 and Bram vs. the Lucha Reptiles was a fine showcase for Jay Rios, who may in fact be Juan Cena after the springboard cutter. BroMans vs. Dirty Heels was fine, but I don't get why you'd even want to break up the BroMans. Main event wasn't much of a match, but I do like the story of the Hardys winning the TNA titles for the first time. It's also a great story of redemption for Matt.

I ran across this on Wreddit, and figured there may be some here that have not seen it yet and would enjoy it. I actually learned alot since my knowledge of wrestling outside the states is limited and so I dont really know many of the foreign stars or much about them.

Ladder done!

Almost all the way through 4/20 without any RVD posts?!

Highlights from Guilty as Charged 2001. Pretty sure Lynn was a heel for this one.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSClrPR2Tn0

RVD vs Jerry Lynn from Hardcore Heaven '99 (edited for ECW TV, full match is like 12 minutes longer)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBC8aWK9gd0

RVD and Sabu vs the Dudleys for the ECW World Tag Team Championship (FMW event, apparently handheld footage but hey, it's original ECW, what do you expect?)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IULbthHOuQ

Whew, my duty to potheads the world over is complete.

That would suck but sounds like only during a big match he would be allowed to do it (ppv)?

from WZ http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/572739-exclusive-wwe-banning-a-current-champions-finishing-move#.VTVSyqmctkM.twitter
I think it'll become like Orton's punt kick. It'll only show up on rare occasions and when it does it will be sold like he killed the guy that took it. Makes me wonder what Seth will use as a finisher now, my guess would be the Blackout or maybe even the Phoenix Splash.

Huh. I forgot about Orton's kick. Making a finisher super vicious (like an ultra finisher, for lack of a better phrase) is only possible if you remind the fans that it's in the wrestler's arsenal. NJPW has done that, to a degree, with the Styles Clash. And you have to let them use it on occasion, and respond accordingly (stop the match, bring out medical personnel, roll out opponents on stretchers, etc.).

If you're going to ban something for the purpose of getting it over, you can't half-ass it.

I could see WWE either doing this to make the curb stomp more menacing, or also doing it to actually halt the use of the move altogether. The latter gesture is simply a silly, arbitrary sleight of hand that they'll use to fend off litigation from the Luther Reigns (any relation to Roman? ;)) of the ex-WWE universe. Some kind of childish "see? we care about wrestler safety!" gesture. If they had science to back up which maneuvers are actually harmful, and then took efforts to reduce their use, to make the maneuvers safer for both involved, and so on, I'd feel convinced. Removing one move doesn't seem, to me, to be a sincere gesture. Ric Flair's knee drop looked like a more harmful move anyway - but, to be fair, Ric Flair's standing knee drop was fucking *magnificent*.

Anyway, disregard all that last bit if they're just "banning" it to get it over even more. We'll know for sure by this time next week, won't we?

How were there no posts about Raw last night? Jay didn't even bother to post his recap here. I know he wrote it, because I saw it on another forum.

I think the reason for the ban on the curb stomp has a lot to due with it being a large part of Seth Rollins character. If you noticed recently his titantron video no longer features him doing the move, which before there were several curb stomp clips in his entrance video. They haven't said anything official in regards to the move being banned though. With that said, I feel like it will become a more special occasion or ultra finisher going forward for Seth Rollins.

Hopefully Dean Ambrose can get a new finisher while we are at it though, The double arm DDT is a lame finishing move and Dirty Deeds is a terrible name as well.

Seth Rollins is the WWE Champ.

His titantron has *always* looked like he belongs on the first fifteen minutes of WWE Velocity.

Time for an upgrade, hombre.

I had it cued up here - it must not've gone though.

His theme is also "Gregory Helms - sunglasses era" bad.

The show opened with a four minute-long Raw recap and then an endless Orton promo that led to an endless Seth promo - this just ate up about 10 minutes. Dean and Harper had the best five minute match ever. Everything they did was fast and intense, and the non-finish worked to set up a PPV match. New Day faced Lucha Dragons, with Cole not being able to tell Cara and Kalisto apart. New Day won via cheating, and get a title shot...and got buried here by Orton. Well, Kofi and Xavier did - Big E left, so maybe he'll split and renew a singles plush - or at least the illusion of one.

HHH's Tough Enough promo sucked, but GODDAMN WAS KANE'S PROMO GREAT. Bellas are now faces for whatever reason. Naomi's a heel officially while the Bellas turned face...somehow. Okay match between them. AMAZING stuff from Bo Dallas. Oh, and Roman was there too and punched him out before stealing Bo-LIEVE.

Man did I love Sheamus just kicking Zack's ass and talking shit in the process. Shame Dolph attacked him like a coward because he couldn't take Sheamus being the better man. Also, WUT DA HAYELL is Booker thinking saying that Dolph making Sheamus kiss his ass is him reclaiming his World Title-level glory?

Kane-Cena sucked. LOVED Cena's stupid faces during the Rusev attack. Miz-Mizdow was nothing, but man is Miz great. He gets Maryse in real life and Summer on-air. Sure, he ate an RKO, but whatever. Bryan-Barrett is now a maybe, so I guess they feel somewhat confident about him. Bullshit to hype up THE TAG TITLE MATCH ON THE PPV and then on the same show just say it's on the pre-show.

Bray cut a promo on weights and Ryback beat Rose before destroying a hot dog and a banana with a double shellshock. Surprisingly, Bray didn't attack him here. Dolph and Seth had a video game match until Sheamus distracted Dolph and Seth hit the buckle bomb and his new wacky DDT finisher since the curb stomp is banned. Fun bit with Orton RKOing Seth.

For only 9.99 you can get the WWE Network! You can watch it anywhere there is internet access! McDonalds, Starbucks, and many other places have free wi-fi. Hell, even hospitals have free wi-fi these days, and do not require you to be a patient to use it^^

You think they're not admitting him to run some tests to see what's wrong with him the second he walks into a hospital?

I don't drink coffee so the fastest free Wi-Fi I'm generally around is Target.

Looks really good! Only input, coming from a fellow modeler: I'd add some surface wear beyond just the edges of the tables, and tone the wear on the edges back a bit. Those tables are shit quality in real life, so anything that'd wear down the edges that bad would damn near destroy the table. Also not sure what kind of lighting if any is in the render, but folding tables like this typically have that weird polish on the top that give them a sheen. Adding that here would really bring out the spots with the wear and scuffs, where we wouldn't see the sheen.

Today's ep of Talk is jericho was a Monday Night War show w/ Bruce Pritchard & Eric Bischoff.   It's a lot of info people already know about, but it is interesting hearing both sides at the same time.  Things dont get too heated so far (halfway through) but Pritchard seems to be the heel while Bischoff was the face.

Daniel Bryan has been taken off the card tonight. No word as to why, but he's not stripped of the title. It will be Barrett vs Neville on the pre-show.

He's been working banged up, supposedly his Smackdown match with Sheamus and some matches on the european tour made things worse. Which he's rumored to have a concussion from his last european match.

Huh. Certainly, if WWE knew he was a high risk of being injured again, that would explain their reticence to push him over Reigns earlier in the year.

If he's that high risk, maybe it's time to retire? I don't know his condition at all, but I'll take a person's long-term well-being over their continual abuse for my enjoyment. e.g., no more Derek Boogaards.

One issue I see with Bryan is that he's a crazy hippie who wants to heal naturally with voodoo magics. He should take Cena's example and just get the damn surgery.

Shockingly, the Kickoff was a bunch of words. Wyatt said some new words. BNB-Neville was fun and greatly helped by the crowd being hot for Neville. Nothing match though. Ditto Dean-Harper, and the kiss me arse match was okay. Everything with the post-match that didn't involve the #Sheanus sign was stupid. New Day vs. CK was tons of fun. They have perfect chemistry together with Xavier as the cheerleader and E/Kofi being the classic tank/Porsche combo. Loved the black fan in the crowd with his son just astonished at New Day, who used THE POWER OF POSITIVITY to win.

Harper-Dean pt 2 was a thing. Cena-Rusev was hurt by the lights, match layout, and commentary. Lana breakup tease is awful. Naomi has now stolen Sasha's whole act, and lost thanks to the Bellas cheating to win with a 2-on-1 advantage. Yes, they're still faces via a phantom turn. Show vs. Roman was a laborious video game match. LOL @ that stupid finish. They went from one stupid, but visually impressive one to...that.

Ryback beat up Bo for no real reason. Bray didn't even save his brother for an in-joke to start the Bray-Ryback feud. KOTR is returning on Tuesday with a #tourneyouttanowhere. Payback's only three weeks away - why not use that for the KOTR finals and make that seem at least important on paper instead of doing a one night tourney out of nowhere? Main event went on forever before RKO-related bullshit and tons of interference happened. WAHOO - RAW IS SEMANTICS tomorrow.

Okay, I'm doing a 180º on these guys. They're doing a great job as heels. Love it.
I've always liked The New Day, they just didn't work as a face group. They were meant to be heels from the start and I am glad to see them being used properly now. Three extremely talented guys, no reason they should be held down by a gimmick that wasn't working. Glad to see them win the belts last night, I hope they run with the Freebird rules and we can see any combination defend the belts.

But they are RACIST!! because they dance and stuff! :wall:
The New Day gimmick isn't so much racist as it's incredibly stereotypical. Now, having a group of black people who loves them some church, choir music, and shucking and jiving isn't EXACTLY racist, but it's not exactly a forward-thinking deal in 2015. Is it Saba Simba? Absolutely not, but it isn't like WWE even recently, is all that aware of things culturally. They had Brodus "call his momma" and bring out basically 50 mammy stereotype getups to dance to his theme around the time Alberto was literally being called "YOUR MEXICAN HERO" while talking about how he was made in America and owed all of his success to America.

Wasn't too into Extreme Rules last night. Was kind of annoyed with the Dean Ambrose/Luke Harper match technically being pretty short. But overall it was a mediocre PPV for me.

That's the prevailing opinion on it. It was "just a show". It felt like a three-hour SmackDown with a ton of matches that meant nothing, and way too much filler. They had tons and tons of filler, but didn't have time to ACTUALLY EXPLAIN THE KING OF THE RING SITUATION. Seriously. They went from saying the finals would happen and acting like everyone knew about the tourney to then explaining things somewhat fully, but never really doing it. Even now, they haven't announced tourney matches on Raw. AND THIS IS SOMETHING THEY'VE PLANNED FOR OVER A WEEK. It just makes WWE look bad - like Bryan not even getting a plane ticket to go to the show, so they had no good reason to keep advertising the IC Title match until 3 hours before showtime.
