I do not think its crazy at all. I would go one step farther though and make the brand split an age split. A lot of fans crave the return of something akin to the attitude era and many others are just sick of content that feels too scripted/paint by numbers. Convince USA that again RAW was magic for the network when it was a less scripted product and that fans loved tuning in because they felt they never knew what would happen. Raw cant be that right now though, the PG family era has been big business and I think its smart to not jeopardize that with the flagship show. There is no reason smackdown cant come on later at night though and evolve into something less scripted, something closer to WCW where the personalities were let to shine or RAWs attitude era that allowed characters like the Rock and Austin to emerge.I think it might be crazy, but I think the WWE should split the roster again and have separate RAW and Smackdown rosters.
The lacking tag division might make that somewhat difficult, but it's an incentive to fix it.
You've already worked a CWA show? Movin' on up!Patritot Brett Powers looks like a dude who will, after a few cocktails, try to convince you that Creed is a criminally underrated band. Hotstuff Rivera will sell you coke cut with gold medal flour, and Frank Isaac Anderson will help you mod your PS3 to play PS2 discs.
Or people could pick and choose which to watch. I think the concept of something like that scares the WWE but realistically its very modern. With the rise in virtual services like netflix and the insane wealth of content today consumers are just getting used to entertainment catering to them. The WWE by comparison is a product that demands in almost every way you accept it as is.NXT, Raw, Smackdown...damn. That'd be alot of division's under one company to keep track of.
Bonus thought-the fist cock might be the most ridiculous someone-thinks-this-is-cool thing in wrestling since the Shockmaster.
It just has to stop. I can't imagine who sees it and thinks it looks cool.I watched that vid earlier and my wife caught Reigns doing the fist cock and commented unless his finishing move is to anal fist his opponent its the stupidest thing she has seen in my "man soaps" in awhile.
had it go down 3 times during the ppv fatal error it kept sayingAnyone else having issues with WWE Network? Nothing seems to be working.
What isn't Xavier golden at? I love how he plugged UpUpDownDown last night too. My only complaint is that Woods doesn't get a ton of chances to show off how good he is in the ring.Xavier on commentary = Gold.
It's probably because WWE will make Ranallo sound like an idiot too. Michael Cole isn't even a bad commentator, but the lines he is fed sure make him sound like a fool on a weekly basis. I really enjoyed Cole's commentary on Beast from the East over the Summer.I cant believe you guys arent talking about the new voice of Smackdown!. Mauro Ranallo!! I have wanted this guy to commentate for WWE since hearing him in Pride I think it was years ago. Hes got the voice and he actually has knowledge on wrestling as well. Im sure JBL will still be there to try to stink the joint up but we cant have everything. I havent watched Smackdown in years, but I will surely check it out once they move to USA next month.
Corey Graves should really be announcing on Raw or Smackdown right now, he's the best announcer they have right now IMO.I can't agree with you more. When Cole is spitting out what he's told go say on TV he's awful. When he's being himself he is really entertaining. I remember his old show he had with Taz, I enjoyed him a lot.
I am hoping that with all the new changes coming to Smackdown!, letting their announcers just be themselves is one of them.
I don't think anyone was shocked and since most people, especially the IWC, are fans of both guys. I'd rather Owens have retained the belt as I felt he was bringing prestige back to the belt by being the champion, but I think Dean is able to do the same thing, I just hope it doesn't end up with Triple H taking out his frustrations on Roman by stripping Dean of the belt. I hope this leads to Sami Zayn returning to the main roster in the coming weeks to reignite his forever feud with Kevin Owens, which will make for excellent promos, matches, etc.I don't think any of the NXT guys are particularly stand out - but that also means they're not horrible.
Not necessarily related to announcers, but it seems indicative of something that nobody seemed to react to or care about Kevin Owens jobbing clean to Ambrose last night. Didn't seem to excite folks too much in either direction. Since these guys are pretty over, that fascinates me. Whaddya think is causing the malaise here?
People are already complaining that Roman beating up 3 dudes was too unbelievable. Imagine if they had 4 out there?I literally jumped up when Ambrose won, though I would have liked to have seen a more convincing rollup. This means Owens can go on to bigger and better things and Ambrose may actually get some momentum instead of being Roman's tag partner.
Speaking of Ambrose, I was shocked he didn't try to assist Roman last night when League of Nations came out. Also, where the hell was Barrett?
Why not him vs 12 random jobbers?People are already complaining that Roman beating up 3 dudes was too unbelievable. Imagine if they had 4 out there?
was barrett even in the building last night? Maybe he was getting the car so they would not get in the mess when the event let outI literally jumped up when Ambrose won, though I would have liked to have seen a more convincing rollup. They showed him backstage with the rest of League of Nations in what was called The Hall of Nations. Barrett said nothing and did nothing, the announcers also made no mention of him being missing in the main event. It was almost like they forgot Wade was a member of the stable.was barrett even in the building last night? Maybe he was getting the car so they would not get in the mess when the event let out
loved watching this with a 8 year old.. dude kept saying o hes so fired for hitting the boss like it was all real![]()
That's unfortunate since this will most likely end his work on NJPW's show on AXS. I enjoyed his commentary there enough to rewatch some matches I had already seen.I cant believe you guys arent talking about the new voice of Smackdown!. Mauro Ranallo!!
