Come on come on lets not lie, most of us would be waaaay more excited to see Seasons Beatings then whatever is planed for the Raw Christmas special. I mean if nothing else we can say we saw a few future TNA champs!

Patritot Brett Powers looks like a dude who will, after a few cocktails, try to convince you that Creed is a criminally underrated band. Hotstuff Rivera will sell you coke cut with gold medal flour, and Frank Isaac Anderson will help you mod your PS3 to play PS2 discs.

So Jake the Snake tweeted an apology saying that the video wasn't as funny as he envisioned it. LOL.

If they don't have any solid plans for Breeze OR Ziggler why not just pair them as a tag team?

The Wyatts got a pretty big pop from the crowd when it looked as if they were about to start a face turn. That may save them in the long run...and Strowman hasn't showed me shit in the ring. He seems to be a less talented Mike Knox. I swear Rowan exists only to take the pinfall.

Cool seeing Rhyno back on Raw, I'm hoping we see a GOREGOREGORE through a table at the PPV.

NXT was interesting, I liked the idea of the Nightmare on Elm Street-inspired attire that Blake, Alexa and Murphy sported...not so sure on the half sweater idea though, he looked goofy as hell compared to the other two.

Enzo and Cass for once dropped their entrance schtick and meant all business, that's nice to see for once.

I can see Nia Jax winning the title soon even though maneuver wise she's a female Yokozuna; the only person I can see beating her is Asuka. I'm a little worried about Bayley getting lost when they move her to Raw (see Becky Lynch).

It's so weird to me viewing Smackdown as a show that doesn't matter anymore. Remember when Smackdown was THE show? Do we need a better writing team or a new *shudder* Brand Extension?

Don't judge me.

I think Hogan should considering joining CWA, a feud with "The Taker" would be absolute golden garbage.

I saw that Seasons Beatings flyer shared by some wrestling meme page. Either that or "You Are NOT Getting Booked". There's a lot of wild, absurd, and offensive stuff out there.

I think it might be crazy, but I think the WWE should split the roster again and have separate RAW and Smackdown rosters.

The lacking tag division might make that somewhat difficult, but it's an incentive to fix it.

I do not think its crazy at all. I would go one step farther though and make the brand split an age split. A lot of fans crave the return of something akin to the attitude era and many others are just sick of content that feels too scripted/paint by numbers. Convince USA that again RAW was magic for the network when it was a less scripted product and that fans loved tuning in because they felt they never knew what would happen. Raw cant be that right now though, the PG family era has been big business and I think its smart to not jeopardize that with the flagship show. There is no reason smackdown cant come on later at night though and evolve into something less scripted, something closer to WCW where the personalities were let to shine or RAWs attitude era that allowed characters like the Rock and Austin to emerge.

Splitting the brands is an amazing idea, I just hope that if they do they make the brands stand out from each other somehow.

Why not let Heyman write Smackdown again? I don't mean to sound like a mark but I remember that time being much better than the current product. (Less Kurt Angle beastiality comments and far less Kerwin White though)

You've already worked a CWA show? Movin' on up!

I read somewhere that Nigga Taker is not even the original Nigga Taker. That is why he wears the mask.....

You can't make this shit up..... Unless you are Vince McMahon.

NXT, Raw, Smackdown...damn. That'd be alot of division's under one company to keep track of.
Or people could pick and choose which to watch. I think the concept of something like that scares the WWE but realistically its very modern. With the rise in virtual services like netflix and the insane wealth of content today consumers are just getting used to entertainment catering to them. The WWE by comparison is a product that demands in almost every way you accept it as is.

Splintering the brands and giving each brand its own distinct appeal will allow the WWE to please everyone or as close to it as possible! NXT remains the fostering ground for young talent and a percolator for new ideas. Raw remains pretty much as is and thats a great place most nights to take the kids. You can dump a lot of big bulky guys that cant wrestle(Reins Ryback)and the talented high flyers(Neville, Zayn) on Raw and watch as they put on solid family friendly matches. Smackdown becomes the home of trying something different. Let good mic workers like Bray Wyaat work of bullet points so people become more like WCW/Attitude Era WWE where personality reigned. If smackdown was more adult oriented guys like Kevin Owens and Lesnar could be unleashed to be the monsters(and monster draws)they are meant to be. And since Smackdown is targeted at adults/IWC and not kids try out having some matches that run longer.

Fans are split between too many factions. NXT can bridge the IWC and family crowd pretty well and Raw really still does pretty well with the family crowd. They just need to fill out their programming with something for IWC and I am convinced they can flourish again. It would also make cross brand promotions waaaaay more interesting if each brand functioned in such drastically different ways.

Rhyno should turn on Team Extreme and be a secret member of the Wyatt's all along.

Just getting around to watching Raw.

"Tater Tot"?

fucking hell. Brand split isn't what's needed. Writers that aren't a weird hybrid of 12-year-old-dweeb and frat boy - that's what's needed.

It's 2015, and this show is headlined by a herp-derp "you have tiny balls" feud. Between the behind-the-times sophomoric writing (and that I'd attribute to McMahon, since decades of farty poopy butt butt fart fart jokes, along with the knowledge that everyone kisses his ass and writes to please only him, means that this is precisely what he thinks is HIIIIII-LARIOUS) and the stale formatting of the show are what harm it.

I'm watching the end-of-Raw promo between Sheamus and Roman, and despite not really caring about either dude as a wrestler (not saying they're bad, just saying I don't care about 'em), I feel *BAD* for them watching the segment. It's that kind of "man, I know you're living the dream and making loads of money, but I feel sorry for you because you have to walk out and SELL this dogshit writing" sympathy. Also, the segment wasn't just dull due to content, but it ran so.fucking.long. It was like the first chapter of Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle." Shut the fuck up and get on with it, man.

Also, this is like the fifth segment these guys have had on Raw. I totally get that you promote the top of the card more heavily than the bottom. At the same time, you have THREE HOURS. You can do more for more guys.

I had 3 takeaways from that video:
You know, he starts out his lines and you feel like hes gonna say something cool, then the rest just falls out like a wet fart. Sadly that's about the most positive thing I can say, that he starts out delivering his lines really well.

The "I wanna be like Rock" thing is so god damn apparent in that video. Down to the fact that the lines feel like they were originally written for him.

And finally, that is the talent that they are grooming to be the future face of the company. Let that sink in, they want this guy to someday be the *top* talent, the cream of the crop, the person that everyone ascribes to be in the company. They've got a long, long road ahead for him to credibly be that guy. It's no god damn wonder CM Punk walked out, if I had a glimpse of him being groomed to be the top guy I would've packed up and left too. Yeesh that is just a tough video to watch.

Bonus thought-the fist cock might be the most ridiculous someone-thinks-this-is-cool thing in wrestling since the Shockmaster.

The tag match was hot fire. Really really creative, good pacing.

I'm doing a bit of holiday baking, so I've only paid partial attention to the last two matches. As soon as I hear "Feed...Me...More" I tend to get things done I'd been meaning to do all day. ;)

I watched that vid earlier and my wife caught Reigns doing the fist cock and commented unless his finishing move is to anal fist his opponent its the stupidest thing she has seen in my "man soaps" in awhile.

It just has to stop. I can't imagine who sees it and thinks it looks cool.

Now, if that was his finisher at least everyone could finally shut up about wrestling being fake.

That strikes me more of a plus for Xavier than anything else. With all due respect to Big E and Kofi (because they're good wrestlers and it takes three people to make New Day amazing, not one), they couldn't hold a candle to Xavier in terms of making that "Buddy Rogers" role work well. Xavier's the one riffing about tricep meat, screaming at the crowd and getting a solid reaction. And, to be honest, the trombone got over so hard that that may be the one thing that I think relegated him to his spot.

If you look at the arrangement as the one that makes the most sense (also Woods in the manager role of being a chickenshit who occasionally takes a solid ass beating), he's the best at that, too. Gonna work better than Big E in that role for sure.

Yes, he's good in the ring. But the arrangement they have is the best they could possibly have.

I cant believe you guys arent talking about the new voice of Smackdown!. Mauro Ranallo!! I have wanted this guy to commentate for WWE since hearing him in Pride I think it was years ago. Hes got the voice and he actually has knowledge on wrestling as well. Im sure JBL will still be there to try to stink the joint up but we cant have everything. I havent watched Smackdown in years, but I will surely check it out once they move to USA next month.

I like JBL for the most part, but he starts grating on me when he tries too hard with the fake over-excitement that Lawler has leaned on for the past 15 or so years.

It's probably because WWE will make Ranallo sound like an idiot too. Michael Cole isn't even a bad commentator, but the lines he is fed sure make him sound like a fool on a weekly basis. I really enjoyed Cole's commentary on Beast from the East over the Summer.

I can't agree with you more. When Cole is spitting out what he's told go say on TV he's awful. When he's being himself he is really entertaining. I remember his old show he had with Taz, I enjoyed him a lot.

I am hoping that with all the new changes coming to Smackdown!, letting their announcers just be themselves is one of them.

Corey Graves should really be announcing on Raw or Smackdown right now, he's the best announcer they have right now IMO.

I don't think any of the NXT guys are particularly stand out - but that also means they're not horrible.

Not necessarily related to announcers, but it seems indicative of something that nobody seemed to react to or care about Kevin Owens jobbing clean to Ambrose last night. Didn't seem to excite folks too much in either direction. Since these guys are pretty over, that fascinates me. Whaddya think is causing the malaise here?

I don't think anyone was shocked and since most people, especially the IWC, are fans of both guys. I'd rather Owens have retained the belt as I felt he was bringing prestige back to the belt by being the champion, but I think Dean is able to do the same thing, I just hope it doesn't end up with Triple H taking out his frustrations on Roman by stripping Dean of the belt. I hope this leads to Sami Zayn returning to the main roster in the coming weeks to reignite his forever feud with Kevin Owens, which will make for excellent promos, matches, etc.

I literally jumped up when Ambrose won, though I would have liked to have seen a more convincing rollup. This means Owens can go on to bigger and better things and Ambrose may actually get some momentum instead of being Roman's tag partner.

Speaking of Ambrose, I was shocked he didn't try to assist Roman last night when League of Nations came out. Also, where the hell was Barrett?

People are already complaining that Roman beating up 3 dudes was too unbelievable. Imagine if they had 4 out there?

was barrett even in the building last night? Maybe he was getting the car so they would not get in the mess when the event let out :)

loved watching this with a 8 year old.. dude kept saying o hes so fired for hitting the boss like it was all real :p

I had a drunken thought last night:

What if they changed King Barrett to "Lord Barrett" and gave him a darker tone in lieu of his red cape and crown? I think he'd still come off a little goofy but not as much as he is now.

Strowman is the bearded version of the Great Khali.

They showed him backstage with the rest of League of Nations in what was called The Hall of Nations. Barrett said nothing and did nothing, the announcers also made no mention of him being missing in the main event. It was almost like they forgot Wade was a member of the stable.

That's unfortunate since this will most likely end his work on NJPW's show on AXS. I enjoyed his commentary there enough to rewatch some matches I had already seen.

:sigh: And once again Roman is talking about balls. Your next world heavyweight champion, folks.

And once again Wade is no where to be found. This Raw took a nosedive fast.

New Day can't appear soon enough.
