Pro Wrestling discussion topic--WWE, AEW, ROH, Impact, New Japan, indies

Well, then I can toss some scratch at them for season one.

Most wrestling you can jump into at any point. I don't get that feeling with LU - i.e., I should watch from S1E1. What do y'all think?
Definitely recommend watching it from the start, but you can get away with some jumping around due to the numerous recaps they put up on the YouTube channel. I've heard that they plan to release season 1 on DVD and Blu-Ray sometime too, which I personally am waiting for. Daily Motion is the best way to go right now IMO though.

It looks like it will probably hit Amazon Instant Video and iTunes for purchase. Del Ray lists it as coming soon for on demand and that's who they typically use.
This Del Ray?

Well, dude's not supposed to be likeable. Saying one thing and doing another is pretty straightforward heel work.

Much respect to anyone who spoke out against the horrible treatment by DeMott and Bob Holly in DSW, and more importantly for becoming such an amazing worker. Las Vegas is fortunate to get one of his rare US appearances.

Cageside rumors sez
New Day talk show segment at Fastlane might be an Enzo and Cass intro. I hope so.

On Good Morning America, Brie Bella announced that she will be retiring soon. Also Daniel Bryan didn't initially tell his wife about his concussion issues.

I'm still guessing that Fastlane will be Brie's last match.

You have no idea how much I appreciate that. A coworker from long ago and I used to talk about Jimmy Del Ray and it was a constant reference point for us when we just needed a cheap laugh. Thanks for posting that.
I think that's from this video. This magnificent video.

I'm convinced that pretty much everyone has a distant "uncle" that looks like Jimmy Del Ray. No one's sure who he's actually related to or if he's just married to someone or what, but he always showed up at family gatherings when you were in the 7-13 age range.

Someone has to drink all the Keystone Light and introduce grandma to his new wife, Cristyl, who may or may not work the AM shift at the local gentleman's club.

H just announced a crusierweight tournament thing for this Summer. Ten weeks, 32 competitors. 205 lb limit.

It's a Network thing, at Full Sail. Not sure if that actually means it's actually part of NXT or not. They're talking about it like it's an open invite for cruiserweights from all over.

It's meant to be for indie talent and NXT/WWE talent that have yet to debut on television. Rumors from awhile back said that this was meant to be a launching pad for La Sombra's WWE career as he has only made appearances at NXT live events so far and is someone WWE has big plans for. Really excited about this tournament though.

In other news Wade Barrett has apparently given notice that he will not resign once his contract is up with WWE in June. He isn't happy in the company right now and wants to work elsewhere.

Hopefully Barrett goes and does what he wants and then comes back when WWE decides they're ready to really use him.

I still say they should've put the belt on him at the height of the Nexus in 2010. Instead, they gave it to...Miz, and we got fired John Cena showing up everywhere wearing knee pads.

I'm busy for the next ten days straight so I opted to chill tonight instead of take a quick train across town to see NXT (stubhub had helllla cheap tickets). I've seen NXT live before, so I was like "well, maybe I'll miss something cool, but nothing I'd kick myself over."

Serves me right: the greatest man who ever lived had a match tonight.

Daily Motion typically has them online for awhile. Last I checked they have all the current season 2 episodes, it sucks that it's not a legal way to watch it, but what can you do. Lucha Underground isn't exactly easy to watch unless you wanna get El Rey Network on your cable/satellite package or with Sling TV.
Sling TV is also on XB1.

I'm honestly not sure I even buy into the "news" about his opponent being someone who is not on the roster, although the speculation about it may wind up being more entertaining than the match itself, depending on who they put out there.

I'm still thinking Cena may be back early and they'll get to do their big dream match thing after all.
