I would also like to add that I don't think PS+ is worth the money. Also, what time does the PSN store update?
I think you're one of about three people who think that and so the store will only update when you get your head on straight.

It's $2.50 on Steam! :p

That said, it probably will get discounted on PSN at some point since the dev and publisher come from the PC gaming world and are used to such things.
Yeah and I beat it twice there but I still want it on PSN for $5.

You can just purchase it on the web store and then download from the Download List on Vita for that stuff or do the same for PS3. Hell, you can even add the purchases to your automatic download queue to start downloading them on your PS3 or Vita without needing to do it yourself.
Thanks but my PS3 is at 10 or so GB of free space left and the Vita download speeds are worse than PS3 so I want to be able to download them onto PC then just transfer them over.

Yeah I know I need a new PS3 HDD. Maybe for Christmas.

Dangs I want to jump on Tokyo Jungle, but for some reason it really feels like a PS+ ...decisions, decisions
for what it's worth i bought TJ day 1 full price and have no regrets. it was worth every penny, and had i not paid for it, it's one of those games where i'd have wished i had if only to support sequels and/or more games like it.

i'm still secretly hoping TJ2 gets announced at TGS for ps4.

If you don't want to download anything to your PS3 or Vita, then you're kind of screwed and might not want to pre-order Castle of Illusion.

Nice new thread Frisky.

Weak week for PS+.

I beg to differ.

And remote play works well with Tokyo Jungle. Just played it the other day.

Glad I remembered to pre-order the Mickey game. The Genesis version is great, and I love the options Sega gives you -- all 3 regions of the game, CRT scan lines, save states, etc. The theme is pretty cool, too.
Me, too. I loved that game on my Sega Genesis. Can't wait.

son of a bitch..................should have waited a bit longer and would have gotten RE:UC/DC HD for free instead of buying it on sale. :headache:

Taking a little break from the oodles of JRPGs on my VIta and have started Knytt Underground.

Only a good hour into it and I think it has the potential to be really, really cool and atmospheric. Just not feeling it yet. I'm willing to give it time, but does it get better?

Also. Thanks for the new thread, Frisky. I blame you (and my Vita) for the gaping hole in my wallet.

its almost 2014 and people are still asking "any opinions on FF games"

that gets discussed all the time on like every internet forum ever created.

I think @frisky already mentioned it, but the Star Wars Pinball standalone magically installs on the vita now. Downloaded the demo from the store and it unlocked. Scores/trophies aren't shared with Zen, soooo yeah...double your pleasure, double your fun™.

Wasn't that his point?

wait, so which final fantasy is best again?   i'm pretty sure i heard it went something like 6>13>12>11>7>10>8>9>1>2>3>5>4.

right?

It's almost like eight sets of trophies. One for the four versions of the base game and a set of nine (three each) for the base pack of tables, so trophy people should be all over that.

I expect 6-7 paragraphs on each game. If you're going to GameFAQs it then:

13>11>2>12>1>3>5>4>10>8>7>6

And if you're throwing in sequels, you can put 13-2 in front of 13 as the best all time. 6 is a piece of garbage.

Thanks for the Guacamelee recommendations. Great fun game. Like the art, humor and combat. Well worth it for my Vita.

What should I get from the sales before tomorrow? Limit is $20ish.

Muramasa (leaning towards this, good?)
Limbo
Spelunky
Journey
Skullgirls (my friends have it for PC… wait for a Steam sale?)

My vote goes to Journey as a "must get" game. You might as well get Skullgirls on the PC to play with your friends.

Thinking about Dragon Fantasy Book, but I'm not sure yet.  For those who have played it...

1. Is it a parody?  The name seems to imply so, but the trailer seemed more like a normal game with some comedy sprinkled in.  I'm hoping the latter, as I've had my fill of parodies for a while.

2. Is the combat interesting, or is it just the usual?

Hey folks, wondering if this is the cheapest muramasa I can get my hands on or if anyone has seen a better deal. I don't mind it either being physical or digital.

Sort of, but it's more of an homage to Final Fantasy that pokes fun at certain things and doesn't take itself too seriously. The combat is fairly basic turn-based RPG mechanics, though they change things up a bit for the third and side chapters.

I'd like to know this, and what the odds of it getting cheaper are (and how cheap it could end up being).

To me, the pinball trophies seems the hardest because I don't know what the heck I am supposed to do... Am I supposed to hit the ball there or here or somewhere? I enjoy pinball games and also enjoy the surprise trophy ding I randomly get once in a blue moon.

I believe there should be some documentation in the menus that explains the mechanics of the table.

I picked up Dragon Fantasy Book 1 from this sale and played a bit of chapter 1 and it's been a bit tough for me to get into it. It's a bit grindy which normally doesnt bother me, but I feel like the enemy damage and how often I run through healing and saving vs the story that I haven't really become interested in yet doesn't "do it for me". I'll continue to play through it either way and maybe i'll ease into it.

I am about to check out the Dyad demo since it seemed kind of interesting and I want to check it out tonight before the sale goes away. I talked myself out of skullgirls.

I look forward to getting to try out rayman origins since I talked myself out of purchasing it on sale for vita in the past with the thought it would eventually go on PS+, and galaga will be interesting too for this month. The rest are not for me.

Really enjoying the download button on the PS Store site and turning on my vita to "holy crap it's downloading my game for me!". Mostly just wanted to post in this thread so I could get the star so I could find it more easily

Cheapest I've seen it so far but the physical has been slowly creeping down and can be had for $30 right now. I'm having a lot of fun with it but I don't know if now's a great time to buy it when it looks more likely to keep going down than not.

Chapter 3 is the entire heart of Knytt Underground. Chaps 1 and 2 are both prologues basically. Are you to Chap 3 yet? Once you get to chapter 3, play it for about 30-60 minutes, and you'll know whether it's a game for you or not. It's pretty atmospheric and there's a lot of exploring, but there's not a ton of action.

I think Frisky answered it well, it doesn't take itself too seriously, but it still has a good focus on core gameplay. It can be a little bit grindy at times (but never too bad, plus minimal grinding can be fun). Combat is very basic turn-based fare, extremely similar to the original Dragon Warrior.

I know I am late to the party but its safe to say gettinmoney is the most sarcastic son of a bitch on this board. You should take anything he says with a grain of salt. Though someone always seems to take him seriously. Its usually pretty funny

Since this a new thread, I think it'd be a good place to ask.

Does anyone else have issues with the CAG notification system?  I keep changing it to "Stop Notifying me of Updates" but I still get notifications when people post, even when they're not quoting me.  It's obnoxious.

Have you tried unsubscribing to the thread via the follow button in the top right, then clicking it again and making sure to uncheck "subscribe to posts"? Usually that works for me when my normal notification options don't.

I think it makes you follow again after you post a couple of times. There's probably something in the settings that you can do to turn it off but I'm too lazy to look even though the same thing is happening to me.

Started Spelunky and I can already tell it's a case of the sequel being so much better than the original. I do have a couple questions though.

Is there an end? If so, at what level does the game stop? I've only made it to level five so far.
