Odd.. anyone know why Machinarium is showing that i havent bought/d.loaded it before? I got it a while back when it was on PS+, i see the icon on my p3 but when i look at it in the new titles section it has the purchase/pS+ logo on it

 
me and eldritchonrye have been smashing demons in diablo 3 and man that game is AWESOME. highly highly recommended, if you like action RPGs even a little.

We were! I love that it plays like the Snowblind studios hack and slash games but in Diablo's body.

 
I have a question. I pre ordered Watch dogs- black flag- and battlefield 4- on the psn today. will i be able to upgrade to the ps4 for the cheaper price when the ps4 comes out? 

 
KickBeat is pretty cool, though you should definitely do the tutorial first. They seem to have a ton of unlockables, mostly costumes, for playing through the various difficulties and doing well. The leaderboards even have their own equivalent to the Pro scores that Zen's pinball games all have.

Castle of Illusion is also a fun game, especially since they did more of a remake than a straight port of the original game. The controls take a little getting used to them, though I do like that you don't need to hold the jump button down to do the butt stomp to kill enemies.

We don't know. They haven't talked that much about how they're running the program yet, indicated that a lot of the specifics are going to be up to the publisher and have only mentioned disc based games as that's the authentication material needed.

I just got my Dwarf to lv 99 in Dragon's Crown, but I probably won't be playing DC as much since I got Madden 25 now and I'm gonna play as much of that before cashing in at Best Buy.

Pretty sure the only thing announced as far as PS3/360 to PS4/XB1 has been retailer specific. I thought only GS and Amazon had announced they have something, and it was only for certain games/publishers so far.

They haven't done anything with PS4 though. Sony announced some vague program at Gamescom where publishers could opt to have an upgrade on PSN where they would charge you whatever upgrade fee they wanted then you would have to use the PS3 disc in the PS4 to serve as an unlock to prove that you still have the game. It was all pretty vague and wouldn't bank on any of it until they cover it in more detail.

I believe someone in the BestBuy thread confirmed that they'll be doing it too. Also, like someone said, at Gamescom Sony mentioned the digital upgrade offers will be up to publishers.
 
I tried the Kickbeat demo and the tutorial was easy enough, but the game is insanely difficult. At least it is for me on Vita. I can't really tell the different fighters apart - the color difference thing is way too subtle in motion. It looks nice, but in practice I didn't really find it that fun. Maybe I'd get better with practice, but after playing the demo song I didn't really feel like trying any more. I think what I really want is a game like Elite Beat Agents that takes advantage of multitouch, the back touchpad and such. I'm glad there was a demo.

Played so much Diablo 3 on the PC I don't think I would ever want to start over on ps3. Sooooo much gear grinding in Infernal mode. But, if they could somehow bring Diablo to the Vita.....

it's my understanding they rebalanced the ps3 version to give better lewt drops... since the pc version had intentionally rare lewt drops to encourage using the auction house. i haven't actually played either version, but this is my understanding and why i think many believe the console version is the superior version.

 
I want to get Diablo III, but it will be on Xbox since I've got friends on there with the game... eventually. No funds for a $60 (or $45+tax) game right now.

Maybe Redbox it for a night. Does the game have an online pass? That will kill the Redbox magic, so hopefully not.

for all those concerned about the vita Rayman missing levels, it's been confirmed they'll be made available with a free patch.  so it's back to being the way to own it, imho.

With more than 100 levels, online Coop and challenges, Kung-Foot mini-game, 5 exclusive touch challenges developed specifically for the VITA and 2 exclusive costumes, Rayman Legends already includes a lot for customers to love, and features the same outstanding graphics and gameplay design as the home console versions."

Dang, that really is good news. Shame they aren't shipping a complete product, but the Vita is the least likely to be impacted by people who don't have broadband internet given its portability.
 
Really glad to hear the confirmation of a patch for Rayman Origins on Vita. I got a gameshare on PS3 but now I'll definitely be double-dipping on the Vita. Not sure if I'll grab it this weekend or wait for a sale...
 
I agree, I don't like what they did at all, but I am still very glad to hear that they are adding the levels, especially free of charge!  

Because of this, the Vita version has reclaimed its spot as the one that I will plan to play, even if we'll probably see a quicker and/or steeper discount on the PS3 version (using Origins as my basis for this guess).

Playing the tutorial makes my attempts to just jump into KickBeat on the stream last night make a lot more sense as to why I didn't do well since I didn't know how to actually get the power-ups that would've helped out a lot.

I agree it's a little shady to wait until people would have (presumably) picked up their preorders, and even then, it was addressed in the comments section of their blog, not an actual post to notify people of the missing content and intent to add it later.

Especially after delaying the game 7 months just to make it be multiplatform, and it still isn't technically ready even though it's on sale now. As long as the update remains free, though, I'm just glad they're going to take care of it.

 
Okay, I put about an hour into Legends on Vita, and it's an absolute joy. Graphics look even better than Origins did (which is saying a lot, since Origins was gorgeous) and the touch-screen stuff from the Wii U is in-tact on Vita.

Also, there is a fuck-ton of content, and the remastered levels from Origins are just as fun as they were before. This game is going to keep you busy for a long, long time.

There's also a patch already for it, but nothing major.

Out of curiosity do you know what the two exclusive costumes are? I can't find it anywhere online and my box didn't have it anywhere on it.

 
Trying to download the 11.xGB RE:Chronicles when I had 17.xGB left and being denied was da LAST SKRAW! I hate how they want double the gigs.

Finally got around to formatting, OPENING, and installing the 500GB Seagate Backup Plus

 STBU500100 external hd I got from Staples for $31 last year. Wow! Way easier then I expected! Used a YouTube vid I found on CAG.

This HP Touchpad Dolphin browser is being weird with links. Anybody new to upgrading, go to YouTube, type upgrade PS3 hard drive. The guy's name is HowUDoinReview. Vid is 27.44min long.
