Man, I was really looking forward to this 12 for 12 sale, but I think I'm going to leave empty-handed. The only thing that even remotely interests me is Payday and I already have that via gameshare. I thought about buying it on my main, but decided against it. I'm trying the demo for Rochard a little later and downloading the demo for Sideway on Steam to try that out.

To anyone interested, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations demo is up on the Japanese PSN.

Might be up on our PSN tommorow. Either way, fans of the series might want to try it, i just fell in love.

I enjoyed the sale, it wasn't amazing, but I'm a huge downloadable titles fan, so I'll give lots of things I chance, especially at half off.

I ended up with:
Rocketbirds
Cubixx HD (may have been a mistake)
PJ Sidescroller (fun shmup for a non-shmup fan like me)

Already owned:
Bloodrayne
MKAK
Rochard (excellent)
Sideway (average)

I will say it was cool of Sony to throw basically their whole October exclusives event on sale just 3 months later, it's just unfortunate that there's not one MUST HAVE title from that event. (Dungeon Defenders is probably the closest to "MUST HAVE" status, but doesn't interest me too much because it's so MP focused)

My biggest recommendation of the week (to PS+ers) is Oddworld: Strangers Wrath. Though not part of the 12 for '12 sale, it's well worth $10.50.

I picked up Rocketbirds since I felt I had to grab something on sale during this promotion. It seems cute and has a 3D mode, which is kind of neat.
I really liked the presentation of Sideway, but didn't enjoy the actual gameplay much. It seemed like a frustrating, poorly controlling 2D platformer and after grabbing the glorious Rayman Origins recently, couldn't see much reason to grab this game. If it (or Okabu, or pixel junk Sidescroller) ever show up as freebies on Playstation Plus, I'll consider it a pleasant surprise.

Most of the games I would have purchased, I already had on 360 except for Cubixx HD which I read on here from a couple of people that the difficulty is a bit hard. Hope this week has some exclusive content on sale..

I was disappointed with this 12 for 12 sale too, I had some credit in my account just waiting for something to spend it on. The few demos I played didnt win me over, so I took a chance on a game that didnt have a demo...Oddworld Stranger's Wrath. I'm really enjoying this game and it looks great.

I'm hoping that playstation plus starts offering discounts on more add-ons for bigger name games, at least games on disc (not overpriced bundles). I'm not really into all these little handheld type games they offer. I've purchased Assassins Creed 2 add-ons and Burnout Paradise Big Island add-on when they were discounted on psn, hoping for more of that type of stuff.

The only game I've ever purchased before on PS+ before Oddworld was Back to the Future, so of course that had to be a freebie :). I hope Oddworld isnt a freebie anytime soon either .

I do have a question. On that playstation plus, when games come up free (like Tomb Raider Underworld) and you download it, do you keep it for good or is it just for that month (when they switch, like now I think it's Pinball games).

If it's free within Playstation Plus then its only free as long as you are a Playstation Plus member, and you lose it once you arent anymore...but you can get it again if you join PS+ again. However, if you buy anything at a discount that is yours to keep forever.

I see. That's, actually a pretty cool deal .

I just wish they expanded that Gamesharing thing from two to three. (I know two other people with PS3s) for PS+ . Then I definitely would buy it

Oh well. Thanks for answering my question.
I forgot, but how does Sony treat a lapsed PS + account? If you renew, will you be able to access all your old PS+ content?
Yes. What happens is, once your PS+ subscription expires.. all of the free PS+ items that you download disappear from your download history, but once you renew PS+ it'll all reappear on your download history.

I can confirm this also since I had let mine expire for a few months and just recently renewed it. Everything was back, free games & dlc

i have a semi-psn question: i unlocked the 2 bonus items from the kingdoms of alamur demo and i was wondering, if i delete the demo will i keep the bonus items? (i tried looking for the game save files...) thanks!

Didn't it say at the beginning, if you sign up for Origin, you can keep what you find? I think it did, but I've already deleted my demo.

As long as you're logged into your EA account, which is prompted at the beginning of the demo, it'll unlock those things when the full game's released. You don't need the demo after unlocking them.

There are three unlocks earned in Reckoning for playing the Reckoning demo:
1. A Twist of Fate Card is earned after you have installed the Reckoning demo and linked your Origin account
2. The Twinned Souls Chakram is earned after you have installed the Reckoning demo and linked your Origin account
3. The Infernal Helm is earned after completing the Reckoning Mode Tutorial

There are two unlocks earned in Mass Effect 3 for playing the Reckoning demo:
1. The Reckoner Knight Armor is earned after you have installed the Reckoning demo and linked your Origin account
2. The Chakram Launcher is earned after completing the full Reckoning demo and seeing the call to action video in its entirety

As long as you meet the criteria for each item, it will automatically unlock once you get the full game and signed into your PSN account online.

What about past games that you downloaded for free from PS+ and have since become no longer free?

Syphon Filter this month

If I delete it and it goes back to $6 can I DL it for free again or no?

Yes it'll be free still. I tested it out with costume quest a couple weeks back.

Can anyone confirm if the "12 for 12" sale is still showing up for PSN+ Members under "Last Chance" on the PSN+ page?

I believe you're thinking of the 15th anniversary sale in 2010 where they had a PS1 game on sale every week for 15 weeks in celebration of the PS1's release.
Can anyone confirm Killzone is not in the update?
It's not there, so you'll have to wait a bit longer for it.

was re3 apart of the sale for 15 years? im sure i bought that for 2.99, as well as seeing stuff like coolboarders and other junk. i might be wrong though, but i thought they used to discount ps1 games all the time.

theres a new map pack for Space Marine for $3. why do companies think their low online playerbase games need more online segregation with more $ DLC map packs? add all the maps for free and charge us for new gear or something, I hear nobody plays the other VS map packs already, wtf?
Damn...store hasn't updated yet?
they did it just isnt visually appearing in a post on the blog or in the store. If you know the content you want you can just search for it.

Sucks to be a 360 owner.

Not when you own both consoles

I think I'm going to grab that capcom bundle. Thanks for the update frisky & Cleveland
Not when you own both consoles
True but Capcom is putting out their Capcom Digital Collection, which has those 8 games on disc for 40 bucks.

I went ahead and downloaded BloodRayne: Betrayal, last night. Don't know when I'll get around to it, but the demo was fun. Way Forward is quickly becoming one of my favorite developers.
I own...none of those. Anyone have opinions on games not named SSF or SPF?
Yes, same with me on this one. I want it for Street Fighter and Puzzle fighter but I am not sure if I want the other ones. I need opinion.

1942 is a fun arcade top-down shooter. That game with the SF games make it worth the $12.50 alone, which is a few dollars cheaper when I got them on their first sale for like $17.50 a couple years ago.
