Was upset I wasn't one of the seemingly thousands who won this game last fall. Will grab it right now for $2.50.

BTW : Renegade Ops is like 2.7 GB. That's sort of absurd for a download title.
Can someone convince me to not buy From Dust pretty please? I want to hang on to my virtual monies until RE4 drops, but From Dust seems so ... interesting...
Try the demo (I'm assuming there is a PS3 demo if not try it on 360 if you have one). I thought it was going to be awesome but it turned out to be a boring lemmings-like game masked as a god/sandbox game.

Try the demo. It was pretty frustrating initially. I loved the game though and stayed up late to complete it all on XBLA. It's pretty awesome if you like that sort of game.

Decent update, not really interested in God of War, but i got Renegade Ops to finish off my Play collection. Also grabbed some WKC2 DLC.

Might also get that 2.50$ Racer.....cant go wrong for that cheap

Has a platinum trophy too :D I was going to get it eventually, was going to buy when I saw it was on sale for 7.49, then I lost it when I saw it was 2.25 for plus. This game was 19.99 when it came out, then dropped to 9.99 a few months ago. Such a great deal.

Anyone happen to know if res evil 4 will have full move support the way res evil 5 gold edition does?

It doesn't have move support, which is pretty disappointing. I love RE5 Gold Edition's move controls.

It plays like ass with a controller. If you're going to get it, hit up Steam.

I wonder how they're going to shave off over half a gigabyte to get it to fit into the XBLA limit.

I won a copy when it first came out. Its actually really solid for a racing game. Has some great tracks that you won't find in other games, solid physics and decent (not great) support for FFB wheels. The platinum is one of the shorter ones you'll find for racing games.

Well there goes my purchase. I really can't wrap my head around what they're thinking when they do stupid stuff like this. Take a look at Resident Evil 4 for PS2, it would have been kick ass with GunCon2 support, it would have played just like Resident Evil: Dead Aim. (Think RE4 for Wii but way before it.)

Sigh ... and I just got another Move, Nav and finally picked up the Sharpshooter all half price at GameStop.
[noob question]no flames pls!

re FriskyTanuki's 'PSP-PS & PS store weekly deals' threads: i have a psp & ps3 and want to buy *physical* UMD & disk versions when available from the PSN/PS store. can i do this? it reads like everything is *download* only, but if so i don't understand why there is a grouping 'UMD games'. does that just mean the game was originally launched on UMD?

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=238357

yes, i did read the threads' FAQ but still wasn't sure. can anyone pls clarify? TIA.[/end noob question]
sorry for the cross-post/re-post, but i think my tiny question got swallowed up in the flame wars on the other thread  i have never used PSN/PS store before (obviously).

^Everything is download only. If you see UMD games, that just means what you suspected, that it was released physically first and is now available for download. That's just their way of separating the download only titles from the physically released titles.

Might have to reactivate my PS+ account. Got a PS+ month card from my brother as a gift last April.

Free Plants vs. Zombies, discount on Super V8 racing (forgot the name), and $2.50 for Star Wars Renegade Squadron seems like enough to get me to finally redeem that card.

Might get the Star Wars Force Unleashed DLC since we'll probably never see a reprint of Ultimate Sith Edition or a game of the year edition with all the DLC ever really happening.

Couldn't they always patch RE4 to support the Move? Wasn't that how it worked with RE5 Gold? I would love to see that happen, but don't expect it.

It's possible, but knowing capcom they might end up making a new RE4 edition that has move support instead of patching the original HD port. They did that with RE5 gold. The original version of RE5 doesn't have move support. I think it was stupid of them to not include it with RE4 HD.. more people would buy it.

Which DLC is not inlcuded in the Ultimate Sith Edition? Don't want to double purchase the content and I can't tell from the description. I'm sure the character DLC isn't but what about the levels?
Is V8 Superstars Racing a sim racer?
More of a low budget sim racer, but they have assists that you can turn on for an easier experience.

Does anybody know if the Persona price drop to $19.99 is permanent? I want this game but I won't have time to play if for a while. If the price will go back up later though I'll bite now.

It's marked as a sale, not a price drop, so it's temporary. Since Persona 2 launches next week, I would guess that it will be a one or two week sale.

Thanks. Looks like I'm picking up a PSN card this week to get Persona. I bought P3P from Fry's a few weeks ago when they had the UMD on sale for $19.99...but I'd actually like to play these games in order. Guess I better get the digital copy of the first in the series while it's on sale then.
Anyone recommend any of the SW PSP games?
Was just going to ask this myself - also, how's that Superstars V8 racing? It's almost a no brainer at < $3, but I figured I'd ask.
$20 for ALL of the Force Unleashed dlc is very tempting. Shame you can't buy just one month of PSN+ (afaik, at least).
PS+ is well worth it for the discounts, free games, early betas, free themes, avatars and 60min full game trials. The service also makes it easy to justify getting a PSP to hold all the free minis and ps1 games. For anyone who recently got a PS3 and needs to catch up on DLC, I'd recommend it.

I already own the Force Unleashed Sith Edition. Any DLC packs listed that are not in that edition already? I think the hoth and tatooine mission packs are already on the disc but I'm not sure about the character packs and the apprentice missions. Thanks!

If you like racing sims its a great deal because it offers some really unique tracks you won't find in most other games. The physics are alright, but a bit on the lenient side. The cars are all fairly similar as V8 racing is a bit like NASCAR except with differing drivetrains, while the differences are small, they are noticeable. If you love trophies, its also a fairly quick platinum particularly for a racing game.

At less than $3 I think the only reason not to buy would be if you have some sort of internet cap or dial-up...even then...just buy it.

Looks like I picked a good time to sign up for Plus again. I just wonder if parts 1-3 are ours to keep even after Plus runs out. I'm definitely onboard for RE4 platinum trophy or not.
To help get you caught up on the series leading up to RE4, we’re offering the PSone versions of Resident Evil 1 Director’s Cut, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis at 50 percent off for all PlayStation users and FREE to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
For games that are available 'for free' for Plus subscribers, how do they go about purchasing the game to keep? I don't see myself paying for the yearly sub just to keep playing them. Just wondering if I head out tomorrow to pick up some moon-money and a 3 month PS+ card, if I could still buy RE1 and 3 at the 50% discount.

I suppose I could redeem the moon-money before the PS+...and buy them then...but that's more of a workaround than an actual solution.

The only thing I can think of would be to buy it under a different account on your PS3, but that is just a guess.

as far as keeping them i guess you can just wait till your sub runs out but if you wanna get a deal on them buy them on an alt account.

Augh, no Castlevania: Harmony of Despair again? Konami had it slated for September, then total silence on it this whole month. I wonder what's going on.

Burnout Crash this week? Sweet. I hope it doesn't suck. I heard a lot of negative stuff about it when it was announced but I'll give it a chance. That's what demos are for.

I'm wondering the same thing myself. I just snagged the USE from my local gamestop and I wanted to 100% it. I have a campaign started on the hardest difficulty but I think the extra missions can only be accessed by going into new game. I'm not willing to risk starting all over again to check to see if they are all there or not since there is only one save file and I suspect it would write over my current one and make me start all over again.

Can anyone confirm if there is any DLC missing from the USE that is on sale or not?

Do PSone classics simulate the original PS load times? Deciding whether I should pick up Chrono Trigger on PSN and play it for the billionth time.

They're the original ISOs ripped from the disc, so any issues with the original releases are likely to still be around. The only things they fix are issues a game may have with the PS1 emulator itself.

Thanks! I have a few PSone classics and never thought too much about it because they were originally PS1 games. It just kinda sucks since Chrono Trigger was originally a SNES game without load times.
