Thanks for your hard work as always Frisky - the whole of cag has devolved into a big fat mess of pointless arguing and trolling lately, hopefully it'll get back to normal soon. I've actually started using my ignore list for the first time since I started here!
I've noticed that too. Seems tied to Sony and the Vita. Only one more week till the later versions release and a good portion of the off track posts should end.
Update is live!
Free also is Mahjong Tale: Ancient Wisdom. Gta IV: The complete edition is $23.99 which is the full game+all dlc. House Of The Dead III is $4.89 for PSN+ members with a Free Avatar
They could just charge you to play online like microsoft
The day Sony starts charging EVERYBODY to play online is the day I stop playing games online again. That's why when they announced PS+, I figured they would've made it a two tier system like MS by now, where free members get PS+ Silver and can get system updates and the like but can't play online, while those who paid for access @ $50 a year would get full access to everything ala XBL Gold.

Thankfully Sony hasn't proven to be Indian givers as far as free online play on the PS3. Let's hope that never changes.:booty: Either that or if it does, then I hope the individual publishers find a way to circumvent Sony's system and provide users who buy their games with online access.

All I can say is... great massive scott, the PS+ freebies this week! Its like Sony decided to throw a holiday for us lonely gamers. They have just certified that I will be renewing my PS+ membership.

And uh, looks like they messed up and the "trial" of Michael Jackson: The Experience for Vita is actually the full game. People are earning trophies in it.
Downloading!

You can get trophies in all of the trials...

Good stuff with all the free Plus goodies. I grabbed them all. Very excited about Farcry 2. I also picked up the discounted House of the Dead III. Now I can use my Move AND my gun...they've both been collecting dust.
Did you get the vita already
Nah, scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
I'm downloading all the Ubisoft games on PS3.
I think they're all like this...

In Vita games?
These don't look like they're locked away like the PS3 1 hour game trial things.

I dont see a trial, just the game and demo. So do I download the demo?

Damn! Looks like I'll need a terabyte hard drive! =-O Lmfao(lol, not opening this thing with over 3 years left on warranty)! I will have to remember to download them, but not install till I'm ready. I need to go through some of these full game trials that are, already, on my 160gb HD.

PS+ FTW!!!!!!! :whistle2:D

Yes, the demo is the full game apparently.

When I purchased the demo I didn't see anything that said it was a demo so free game?

Replacing your own HDD on the PS3 does NOT void your warranty if I remember correctly.

Yeah, you're free to change the hdd yourself. It's easy.
When I purchased the demo I didn't see anything that said it was a demo so free game?
Yup, free game.
Choplifter HD already dropped to $10? That was quick.
Yeah, I was also surprised about that. Must not have sold well. It seems like a pretty faithful re-creation of the original Choplifter, but I'm not sure how well that plays in 2012. I think I'll wait until it's about $5 or so.
Yes, the demo is the full game apparently.
I'm curious, where did you find out that it might be full? Not that I don't believe you but I'm just so excited but can't verify myself until Feb. 22.

I'm downloading it on my PS3 as I write this just in case.

Alright one more post for clarity:

1. I bought Lumines today at Gamestop so those trophies are from a retail copy!

2. All the Ubi games are locked EXCEPT for MJ

3. You can check this easily (if you have a Vita) if you go to the games LiveArea, there should a option to Buy Now which MJ DOES NOT have.

I think it probably sold like shit. $15 seems to be too high for gamers to pay for downloadable games. I think most games tank at $15, excluding games that may have extended lives via online multiplayer.
Replacing your own HDD on the PS3 does NOT void your warranty if I remember correctly.
It does not void. In fact, my PS3 Slim manual has step by step instructions how to do it.

and I just got another email from PSN. This time, Rocketbird: Hardboiled Chicken at the special price $5.99

Just incase anyone is wondering, the free avatar you get for buying House of the Dead III is that boss zombie cop.

I'm pretty upset with myself. :wall:

I realized I haven't redeemed my online pass of SR3, which would give me a copy of SR2 for free. I thought the promo was until the end of the week but I missed it by 2 days. :wall:

After my one buddy picked up SR3 that was the first thing I did. We played a bunch of co-op, though mainly it was just screwing around in the game world after I'd finished the game.

Of course, I also redeemed the Alice: Madness Returns voucher for the original Alice game that they put on PSN. Unfortunately I got rid of A:MR yesterday, so now that seems like a waste, since I believe you need the A:MR disc to play the original.

So any opinions of House of the Dead 3? Does it have multiple move controller support? Any idea how long that sale is going to last?

Anyone know where the "Fatal Inertia EX Free Trial" is located? When you purchase the "free upgrade" it says you need the trial installed, but I can't seem to find it. It's not in the demos section, nor the PS+ trials section...

Edit: So, did a search in the store, and the trial version comes up but says "not available for your account"... Luckily I remembered I had DL'd the demo way back when it came out, so dug to the bottom of my DL history and was able to redownload it from there. Really strange. Wonder how many other people won't be able to get it to work if they didn't have the demo in their history?

Alright, going to get House of the Dead III. As well as all the free PS+ stuff. I'm definitely renewing at least for 3 more months at the end of the month.

Thinking about DJ Max Portable 3 since the UMD can't be found in any local stores near me. Might just pass since I'm not very good at those games.

Edit: Might also get Rocket Bird if I get the email from PSN. I missed out on the previous sale and don't even remember if it was less this time around.

Do you enjoy light gun shooters?

Do you enjoy previous House of the Dead games?

If the answer to either of these is yes, then buy it.

The sale will probably last a week for PSN+ members.

I wonder who thought it was a good idea to put the Fatal Inertia EX unlock key/game in the PS+ section, but not the demo that it requires to become a game that you can play.

I can't remember if I downloaded the Fatal Inertia demo or not (and my DL list is way too long to dig through right now), anyone know what the deal with the previously mentioned "not available for your account" error when trying to download it is?

It downloaded just fine for me, and I know I never downloaded the demo.

You will probably be paying for online access on a per game basis instead of a subscription in the future. Seeing how online passes are required for most games now to play online. I still don't get why online passes are required for online play on xbox live...

The reason for online passes is so developers can make some money off used game sales.
