The big announcement for Rocket League is that they'll be adding Mutators to the game in a few weeks. Mutators let you mess with many settings when setting up matches to create cool, unique match types. They'll even have special playlists to cycle through them for a concentrated dose of weirdness. I'm guessing that these will be in addition to the current playlists, so it won't change the pure Rocket League style.

I've been considering it too, $15 seems like a decent deal when you consider all the content (4 regular and two extra episodes, and raid mode). Having said that, the split screen mode for local coop looks awful, two tiny screens instead of a normal split.

Physical has been down to $12-15 at GameFly multiple times across the past few months, so it's trending that way.

Physical release does give you a couple of extras vs digital:

It's not mentioned at all in the blog post, only in the comments. They suggest it's just for December unless people really like it.

 
Good deal week, picked up RE revelations 2, Murder soul suspect and Best Buy has sleeping dogs for $20 that I used reward certain on.

Man was I temped by the Evil Within GOTY, but I watched enough reviews to see the game probably isn't for me due to the instant kill frustration. I like a little challenge but ones that I can say, yeah that death was my fault.
 
Has anyone noticed if the Mega Man 1-4 complete works have ever been on sale?  Is there a XBLDB like site to see if it's something that never goes on sale or does from time to time?  

Also any deals on psn credit, like $25 sized.  I know there was one for $100.  I checked around the trading and deals forums but didn't see anything current.  

 
Purchased RE Revelations 2, Sumioni, Zombie Apocalypse, SH Origins, and REmake, which puts me over the $100 needed for the $15 credit. Backlog just grew exponentially.

We can guess forever at which games that go on sale might be ps+ games later. Sometimes we'll be right, sometimes we'll be wrong. Just buy games at a price you're happy paying and let the stress wash away.

Unreal Tournament III on the PS3 is one of my favorite games on the system even though I've only ever played it against bots. It's also the only console version with mods that can be downloaded for free from PSN. I bought a used copy at GameStop for $4.99.

Back to PSN talk, River City Super Sports Challenge is up for sale on the PS3 PSN store for $24.99. I've never paid that much for a digital game before but I really want this game. I also hope that if I buy it that we'll get a River City Ransom remake.
 
On the topic of PS PLUS free games, I agree, don't hold out, play now and if they come up free then it's cool to know about the game and talk about it with your friends since you already played it.

I wonder what are people's price. I try my best to hold out for $10, $20 if I'm more then curious. $30 to $40 always nags me, it'll be cheaper soon. I do occasionally spring for new games I know are from devs I like, but maybe 10 of those in a year.

I totally agree about Unreal Tournament III, I have it on both 360 and PS3, really great game to play against bots. Can't believe it's so cheap for a used copy at GameStop, such a great game.

I try to hold out for $40 on games I really want to play badly, and $10-$20 for curiosities. If I buy a game I don't like much at that range I don't really feel ripped off.

I will occasionally pay full MSRP if its a game I have been seriously anticipating, like Super Smash bros. Wii U. The other thing about Nintendo compared to Sony or MS is that their prices on games don't drop nearly as quickly, so to play it cheap you have to wait far longer or get it with a coupon or something. I paid full price (minus GCU) for Smash and Mario Maker but I havent paid full MSRP for a single PS4 game since I got one.

Yea... so tried that and i already have everything off in that menu. The stupid PS4 still automatically downloads updates any time i start a game or if theres a PSN patch out. What the friggin hell. Is the ps4 the Windows 10 of the game consoles? Is there no way to friggin actually disable it from automatically downloading patches and updates?

I also have everything in "Settings > System > Automatic Downloads and Uploads" turned off and every time I start up a game that hasn't been updated it starts the download.

I think the only way to really get around it is just pausing the update when it starts and then just leaving it alone until you have checked out the update and want to download it. I think you may be able to just set it as paused and it will just stay paused if you exit and start the game back up again (can't check that currently or I would). Not exactly the best option but it might be something

A lot of the options in Automatic Downloads have to do with rest mode but I think all turning it off does for non-rest is that it only keeps it from updating applications you don't open.

I hope you're really joking because I don't consider this really a thing except stuff to talk about, I keep up with these things anyways, might as well share what I'm reading about and know, I just didn't see any of this posted, and I thought they might interest people. If it's a problem, I'll stop if asked to, but I've been doing this for awhile in the Japanese Niche thread so I just thought I would throw in the American stuff as well. I like to keep up with other stuff besides games as well, just not relevant to this forum. Well I like discussion and knowing what's coming up, even though I don't post my own opinions all that much, I do like to hear others and see if maybe there's something I'm missing out on. I'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic, so I don't know why I'm defending myself so much. Hopefully somebody will find something worthwhile in one of my posts, if not skip it. I know this is Frisky's domain. I wouldn't want that kind of responsibility, personally. Lol. :) Anyways, where's your wizard at? Everybody has basically the same avatar now.

Does anyone know if theres going to be a 'complete' version of the walking dead season 2 like there was for season 1? Im asking because im replaying the first before i get around to playing the second. I never did buy the second though because i was annoyed that they released a complete version with 400 days later. Is there anything like that for season 2? Im not even sure if there was DLC for season 2 at all.

Is there anything like that for season 2? Im not even sure if there was DLC for season 2 at all.

There's a 3 part "miniseries" based on the comic/show character Michonne that I think is supposed to be Season 2 DLC rather than a standalone. At last update, the first episode is supposed to come out this year "sometime after October". I don't think there's been any mention of a physical season 2 "complete" edition, though...so who knows...may or may not happen.

I was talking about the avi you had before. He said it looked like a wizard fighting a dragon (it did kind of look like that) and that's what I meant by he had that. I know it wasn't that but that's what it looked like.

Omg seriously, I see it now. No, I seriously derailed the thread, man, My bad. Honestly I didn't see it small, though. Just thought it was like a pajama wizard fighting a dragon. Shit, I am stupid. Lol. How did I not see that. Anyways, case closed and thanks, it was cool talking with ya'll. Even if I do look like the biggest idiot ever and totally feel stupid now. Lol. I usually keep pretty quiet unless it's about Miku or Vitas or whatever so it's cool to have a random conversation sometimes when I'm way too tired and need to eat. Anyways,,. that reminds me I saw your neon orange Vita on the AWD thread, looks so awesome. Congrats! :) Also, I figured Eldritch was just playing but I know some people might think I'm trying too hard in this thread now. I'm bored and I don't even know how that's possible when it's not a sale or something. I don't think I'm stepping on any toes. Some might see it differently. Anyways, thanks.

Hmm, sorry about that. I haven't tried to actually disable updates on my PS4, I just did a quick Google search when I saw the question come up here. I would like to know if it's possible, though. I rented Until Dawn from a Redbox and got the platinum before taking it back, but when that 12 GB patch came out afterwards I eventually had to delete the game to keep it from trying to download every time I turned on the PS4. Seems like there should be a way to stop those.
