I'm a bit late here but here are thoughts on the september ps+ additions

GTA Liberty City Stories - I still have this on UMD, played it when it came out but I hardly remember anything about it, will probably replay this on the vita at some point.

Resident Evil Chronicles HD - these are games are meant to be played with a move controller which I don't have, there is also support for DS3 but I don't think it will fun to play it that way. Pass.

Ico - awesome game, I still have it on PS2 and the new HD version as well, it doesn't bother me that it got added to ps+ because I think everyone should play this at least once.

Rayman Origins - I bought it from a ps+ sale, not the one from a couple of weeks ago but the one from a few months ago, kinda sucks that I could gotten it for free if I waited.

Galaga Legions DX - didn't even this game existed, I liked galaga back in the day so I'll give this one a try.

now if we could get the awesome games EU ps+(Kingdoms of Amalur, AC III, NFS Most Wanted) is getting, I'd be happy.

Yeah September is weak but I assume with the ps4 coming up its only going to get better. Hopefully? Maybe? Probably not?

there some pretty good games coming for free for the PS4, just of the top of head:

DriveClub

Resogun

Don't Starve (plus 2 other indie games that I forgot the name of, which were announced at E3)

a ton of awesome F2P games (PlanetSide 2, Blacklight Retribution, Warframe, War Thunder, etc.)

so yeah, you could say things will definitely get a lot better.

Ad-hoc is local wifi.

From the Amazon page: "Local or Online Co-op: Play any Rayman Legends level in ad hoc co-op or over Wi-Fi."

Either Amazon's description is incorrect or it has online co-op over wifi, but either way saying that something has "ad hoc or local wifi" makes no sense because they are the same exact thing.
Sadly, it also says local or online co-op under the PS3 listing as well so I think that's probably wrong with the Vita listing.

So a bit random but as much as I hate point and clicks, I LOVED Machinarium. Best short games Ive played in awhile. Also the only point and click I have ever enjoyed. Besides Telltales Walking Dead if that counts.

Would like to add I loved playing it on the VITA.

There's an easy way to get them if you really want them.
true, I could just sign up to the EU ps+ but I rather save that money and spend it on the awesome psn sales we have been getting lately. We have gotten previous EU offerings(sleeping dogs, hitman, BF3) before so I'm hopeful we will get those 3 games too, in the meantime I'll work on my huge backlog.

The Official Rayman Legends site doesn't even say it's coming to any console other than the Wii U, unless you count a few console logos (except for Vita!) at the bottom of the page. It's features list just referencing the Wii U GamePad, Wii, and features related to that, so to say that Ubisoft isn't exactly putting out clear, concise information on that game is an understatement.
Even stranger, even though the Wii U is the lead platform, the majority of review sites look as though they have received copies for the 360 instead, since the 360 has way more reviews than any other platform last I checked.

I might actually break one of my rules and by Legends at MSRP on the Vita since I love the Origins so much.

I think we all need to take a deep breath...and start talking again about the logical and very important distinctions between Spelunker and Spelunky and what it means to Spelunk.

While the description appears to be a generic one, I think the reason for calling it "local wifi" is to distinguish it from a Vita's 3G connection (no multiplayer support) in more layman's terms.

If I am upgrading my memory from 4gb to 32gb...how do I do it?

Save my files/back up to ps3 and then what?
https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/362/~/upgrade-the-hard-disk-drive-(hdd)

I've done this a few times- it is very simple, just be sure to not strip the screw that holds the hard drive to the system!

EDIT: Whoops- I thought you were asking about upgrading the PS3's hard drive. I don't have any experience with upgrading the memory cards on my Vita- sorry!

If I am upgrading my memory from 4gb to 32gb...how do I do it?

Save my files/back up to ps3 and then what?
I prefer to do it to my Mac (the software "Content Manager Assistant" is also for the PC), just copy everything to your computer then move whatever you need to the other card. Find the icon n your Vita for content manager, I recommend your first time w/ usb since you are moving a good amount of data, then use wifi whenever you want to backup something.

Tekken Revolution - update Sept. 9

● Feng and Nina added to the roster.

● Purchase characters without gathering Gift Points with a new option under Playstation store.

● Premium Session can be created, will create a room in Player Match that has a timer of 60 minutes but the matches inside the room will not take up coins.

● New costumes for every character while Hwoarang, Dragunov, Devil Jin & Kunimitsu get new premium effects.

● Using the R1 button will bring up the option of using either coins or premium tickets for the next matches.

● Dan Rank limit has been extended, you can now get up to 21 Dan (Byakko.)

● Additional undisclosed bug fixing and balance tweaking.

● The period of when you recieve the update til the 10th of September, fight money reward after all fights is multiplied by 1.5x.

Balls..... I must have been trying to make my own perfect sale week..... Well now I can stop wondering, thanks.
What could have happened is you were looking at recent deals on one of the last pages of the thread. Then you logged in to your account and automatically got sent back 100pgs earlier in the thread and got confused. I don't why cag is so broken like that, but logging in sends me to a random old page (50-100 pages old!) in the thread that I happen to be lurking in.

Are people around here still having issues installing the standalone Star Wars Pinball game on Vita? I just installed it just fine after grabbing the demo and then starting it up to let the unlock key install.

Looks like Sony is ramping up its PS+ campaign to coincide with the new console. Here's a new ad that they are running:

Nope, failed on me at 15% like normal. Did it exactly as you described it. Can't get the demo installed.

Well I think WiiU being the lead platform went out the window at the moment when they delayed it for six months to make it multi-platform because they were expecting to sell like 14 copies.

Pretty sure it's even longer than that at this point.

That's a European ad so of course they're running ads for it! A PS+ ad here would feature PSP fighting games being played on the Vita and the whole thing would have a distinct... yellow hue to it.

If Wii U weren't the lead platform, all of the touch mechanics wouldn't still be in the PS3 and Xbox 360 version with a half-assed solution for making it work with just buttons.

I like this little disclaimer at the bottom when posting the 49.99 price for a year:

* A year is 365 days

Is there really any possibility for dispute on this topic or do they use metric time over there too?

I don't know then. Did you try just downloading/installing the demo itself with no unlock key and seeing how that works out?
I did but I'll try it one more time in a little bit.

I'm not overly concerned about it. It would be a bigger deal if the ZP2 DLC version didn't work as well, but since I got that to install fine I'm happy.

One out of every four years isn't 365 days long, so they're just covering their butts for when those years hit.

Damn it.  And I was saving a PS+ card to apply to my account in 2016 so I would have an extra day of access to my games.  Honestly, I love PS+, but this kind of feels like a slap in the face to not include leap years as one single year in their program.

It all started when deals were advertised to end on Tuesdays/Thursdays and people flipped out because they didn't last until the very last minute of the day, so that's why most sales are said to end the day before the update hits. People argue over the smallest bits of time any chance they can get.

There's apparently an indie PlayStation panel happening at PAX with some actual news coming from it.

  • Cosmic Star Heroine (Zeboyd Games) is coming to PS4 and Vita. Cue tylerh
  • Divekick is a launch title for PS4.
  • Double Fine is making some DLC for The Playroom, which is that weird PS Camera tech demo game that comes with every PS4.
  • Dustforce is coming to PS3 and Vita with Capcom publishing it.
  • Octodad has Move support.
  • Road Not Taken is coming to PS4 and Vita.
  • VVVVVV is coming to Vita.
  • WarFrame is a launch title for PS4.

The trailer for Cosmic Star Heroine looks really good, especially compared to their previous games.

Edit 2: More Cosmic Star Heroine news:

It'll be Cross Buy and the devs are going to be doing a Kickstarter soon that will require just $10 for the cheapest tier to get the game itself.

If Wii U weren't the lead platform, all of the touch mechanics wouldn't still be in the PS3 and Xbox 360 version with a half-assed solution for making it work with just buttons.
Well you can't entirely rebuild a game in six months; I'm sure almost all of that time just went into getting it ported and tested. So yes, from a technical standpoint WiiU was the lead platform because that's what it was originally designed for but he was talking about marketing. Once you're not constrained to a floundering platform of course you shift your focus to platforms that have over 20 times the install base and you want reviews out focusing on those systems.
