Is there a list of PS+ games listed by their review score? I got a bunch of PS+ games dating back to last November but cannot decide which game to play first.

I love games like those. Do you know of any on PlayStation? Does Sound Shapes share any of those elements found in rhythm games?
Sound Shapes is not a rhythm game in the least. Retro/Grade is similar, but that's about it. DJ max is also a good choice for the Vita.
Retro/Grade is nothing like that. It's a shmup-skinned Rock Band.

I'm liking it because it's basically a new game in the line of rhythm games like Elite Beat Agents and Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy, but not having any sort of tutorial or guide is a really dumb move.

Michael Jackson: The Experience on Vita is basically Elite Beat Agents with his music, but that's about it that I've had experience with on Vita/PSP/PS3.

Hopefully it hasn't already been discussed but is there any definitive word on if Jak and Daxter is going to be cross-buy and/or support PS3 saves?

It doesn't have either as far as they've said.

The Last of Us is out now on PSN for those that want it digitally, though there is an interesting little warning about how the download works:

IMPORTANT: The file that you are purchasing from PlayStation®Store is only the installer for The Last Of Us™. Once the installer is booted, the game itself will be downloaded onto your PlayStation®3 system. The 136 MB file size refers to size of the installer only. Your PS3 system must have at least 27GB of free space to install this game. If your PS3 system does not have sufficient free space, do not purchase this game. Purchases will not be refunded due to installation issues caused by space limitations. To check your PS3 system’s free space, please go to Settings > System Settings > System Information.

Does anyone know if there is a way to setup downloads through the Web store to a single PS3 unit only ? I only have a larger hard drive on my main ps3, not the bedroom unit but everyone I try to queue something through the Web store it only gives the option to install to both.

I believe I read that the only option is to have it download to all active systems on the account. I was looking into the same thing since the first PS3 I had bought had to be exchanged and I didn't know at the time that I should have deactivated.

Totally off topic

but I got my final fantasy 14 beta invite this morning for the ps3. Nothing beats testing a game and trying it out for free. I'm excited.

FYI only registration I recall doing for it is downloading a video other day on PSN that promised to enter me into consideration.
You know I was interested in trying that out, but then I remembered MMOs are very unhealthy to my backlog haha. Plus I don't do well with monthly subscription fees for games.

Here's to hoping I am happily backlog free before The Division and Destiny which both look amazing to me. Which I assume are going to be subscription free. Hell, I've got until 2014 sometime so I think I'll be fine lol.

Has anybody tried this yet? I (foolishly) didn't read the warning and left it downloading when I went to work but I think I had close to (if not less than) 27 GB on my hard drive. It started downloading/installing without issue, but now I'm a bit concerned...

I don't think there's any way it will be cross-buy.

So it sounds like this installer is a way for them to get around the double amount of file size needed to download a game. If so, this is a very good idea, because I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't have 54GBs free on their PS3.

Really tempted on tomb raider but I really want a disk verison..

I have the same problem and something tells me that we will have that game on the IGC later this year.

I couldn't resist and bit on it. It's fun so far. My first Tomb Raider game, though I know it's quite different from the others. Seems worth $20.

They were asking about rhythm games, which Retro/Grade is. Never said it was exactly the same, just similar...

He was asking for games similar to Elite Beat Agents and Theatrhythm, not rhythm games in general.

Sounds a lot like they were just looking for rhythm games and happened to like those two games. Also if you want to be a douche (which you're doing a FANTASTIC job of btw), Theatrhythm and Elite Beat Agents are wildly different games, just like Miku is. At their core they all have the same overarching concept (which is also true for Retro/Grade), but achieve it in different ways. In either case, message received, so I will stop posting in this thread. Was fun, see ya on other parts of CAG!

Thanks for the name calling! That's a very mature way to discuss a topic of such importance, so now I'm just going to end it and add to the ignore list.

Oh my god, how did this carnage happen... I was talking about rhythm games in general that aren't Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. I already tried Retro/Grade - it would've been good if it had a decent soundtrack. Two overlooked rhythm games that I really enjoyed are Karateka and Space Channel 5. I think they're both $5 now, so quite the bargains there.

I thought you were asking about more games like Elite Beat Agents/Theatrhythm. Sorry. I'll have to look at the games I have again and see what pops up.

Admiralvic has been having a tough time lately, so I wouldn't take everything he says at face value.

Argh, The Last of Us is freaking $45 on ebay from newegg now. I've been hovering over the buy button for like 30 minutes now lol. What do you say guys? Buy or wait for $30 or less? Anyone here play it yet?

Someone mentioned there was a bug with the autosaves so might be worth holding off on if you're not going to play it right away. The demo was amazing and I have a love hate relationship with this type of games so I'm going to pick it up but not yet.

It was already fixed since it was just an issue with their servers.

Thanks for the input guys. After hovering like a fly over it for an hour I decided to pass for now. I do have a big backlog and I think I'm in the same boat as you amusedtoe. The overwhelming praise the game has gotten just got my attention. Maybe a friend will get it or I can redbox it one weekend.

Glad to hear they are fast about fixing stuff Frisky. Especially when it's that game breaking. Feel sorry for the midnight buyers.

Wait. How big is your backlog? More than 15 games? If so, wait.

EDIT: Looks like you made your decision and answered my question before I posted. Anyway, you made the right call.

I added that admiric punk to the ignored list awhile ago, Frisky. He has pretty much attacked everyone here, and calling everybody names. Just look up his posts. He curses people out, and then answers their questions. If you're going to do that, you should just ignore their questions instead of acting like you're trying to be helpful while calling everyone idiots, to put it mildly. It's very elitist...for a child acting like that. Grow up kid.

Thanks for the added input though. I've been trying pretty hard to get over my buying new games impulse when stuff is on sale like that. It's what generated my freaking backlog in the first place. You guys help me curb that impulse though haha.

That's no excuse. There's no reasons for him to attack everyone and curse everybody out. I know about his temper tantrum when he lost $500 on E3, and his job. But that doesn't give him a reason to come here and take it all out of all of us. We certainly didn't get him fired. And by his aweful and childish behavior here on these forums, I can see why he was fired. And I'm willing to bet it's not the first time. You're a nice guy, Joker. But don't make excuses for his pompus ass.

For real, it sends mixed messages. He should do what I do and just cuss them out.

So tonight my ps3 gave me the "you need more space for all this games dumbass" message, and got me wondering, can we backup all the downloaded content to an external HDD?

Also got my beta keys for FFXIV yesterday... xD

edit: accidentally said FFXV lol xD

Kinda bummed that I didnt get a beta invite for FF XIV. Downloaded the video and all as soon as it was up to get registered. I have been playing around with a bunch of different F2P MMOs trying to find something to scratch that itch but for the most part they are horrible. Was hoping that FFXIV would last me a while if I got in on the beta.

I am curious about this also. It must have been explained elsewhere because I have only seen the story referenced here, but never fully fleshed out.
