An opinion about what is bad acting can by definition not be objective. I happen to agree it was bad acting in your example, but it is still subjective. You mentioned the sign and how it could be interpreted incorrectly when you and ambulance chancing lawyers would be the only ones who would make that argument.

I admit, my sarcasm meter was likely thrown off by you appearing to hate everything.

I apologize if I did not memorize every post you made in the past that was pro-feminism. I still have no clue what the fuck your post yesterday meant and apparently others didn't as well since I got a few likes mainly by the people I remember being pro-feminism when the topic came up before.

It's pretty interesting seeing the reactions, I'll be honest. Like with that tow sign. I think it's pretty obvious I was calling out that idiots who park in those places are dumb enough to think the sign is saying the property owner will pay for the tow. Getting your car towed means you didn't meet a certain minimum requirement for intelligence...so why would such a person be expected to read the sign correctly? The property owner not accounting for stupidity by having the sign say "at vehicle owner's expense" is also at issue.

I'm not sure if people are trolling in response to me pointing that out or if they legitimately are in need of yellow text and other clear signs to call out sarcasm and the like.

I played Ultimate Destruction sort of recently. It hasn't aged well at all. I was hyped to play it and ending up not even finishing it (which I rarely do these days once I start something) [well at least story wise not 100%].

That's like the CAGcast...they would go on about how bad the current Transformers movies are...they talk about the acting and dialogue. It's like are you really watching for anything else other than Transformers, transforming, and explosions?

I already played MGS4 so I won't be picking it up.

I guess I'm going to be buying RE Revelations 2 at Retail as well with the extra content and $32 with GCU. Hopefully they throw in a $10 cert as well :)

There is bad acting that no one could possible say was good acting. Like Tommy Wiseau. That stuff can objectively be called bad. But then there is acting which some think is good and others think is bad. That stuff is subjective. So I say it's both objective and subjective. Take that!

Yes, I was making that obscure joke. I kind of knew you got it too, but went with it since I liked my comeback. I am easily amused today. Had a bad day yesterday with work and today is much better.

The dialogue stated that the video would be taken seriously because it was by men and so could not be self-serving. I was pointing out that anybody who disagreed with the video and watched the credits would see a woman's name (particularly Anita's) and write the video off immediately because of it. "Not self-serving? Bullshit!"

Edit: Or "This is garbage!" to tie the video in more specifically.

IIRC, Best Buy has never given certificates for anything that cost less than $59.99, so you're very likely out of luck there. A $10 gift card like Shadow Warrior had would be pretty sweet, though.

Seriously, Ace Attorney is among my most favorite series because the games are so unique. If you don't like reading lots of text, though, you may not get as much enjoyment out of them.

No, I think it's pretty obvious that you're just trying to get on people's nerves sometimes with things like the parking sign. I'm talking about posts where you basically say "when you people like bad things, is it because you just ignore how bad it is or because you are too dumb to understand how bad it is? BTW, I can't ignore how bad bad things are."

In no way, shape or form would I ever defend the CAGcast, but I was not watching it to see the Transformers blow shit up. I was watching it because I took my kids to see it. It was god awful. One of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. Bad acting, bad story, bad everything.

Then I highly, highly recommend the Ace Attorney series. If I weren't playing the heck out of Danganronpa 2 during my portable-gaming time, I'd be doing the same for Dual Destinies. It's unfortunate that DD is digital-only and rarely goes on sale (it was $17.99 on the eShop a couple of months ago and $14.99 during BF weekend, I think), though.

If you read it this way, then you ignored the context of my post. I compared it very clearly to how some people cannot see HD vs SD or hear lossy vs lossless (I can't hear lossy vs lossless, btw.) Unless you're going to argue that not being able to discern between those things makes you dumb, then I'm not sure how you could equate my statement to saying people who don't notice characterization or plot problems are dumb.

Of course they did, and they loved it. I should also note that it also depicts women terribly, so I regretted taking them to see it for that reason. I guess that would make it right up some of your (not necessarily your) alleys, though….
