Nope, no GCU. I was on with Amazon support to find out why they were showing different priced before I saw it was back to full price and the guy edited the order for me to make it $14.99. Pretty cool of them. I even told him that I was just too slow in ordering it and missed it while he was discounted, but he still dropped the price for me. Cool dudes those Amazon guys.

Agreed. I wish they had had the Golds in stock on Friday so I could have attempted to have them price-match Target's unadvertised $40 price using a photo as proof. Based on my experiences with Amazon CS, it might have worked.

Amazon has it for $17. Does it charge the controllers via the accessory port on the bottom between the 2 grips? That is what it looks like in the picture on the page at Amazon.

No adapter required. You press the controller down and the way it's designed it guides the controller onto the plug. Very cool. The only thing you have to get use to is to remember to press DOWN on the controller when you want to disconnect it. Otherwise you'll have to press the contraption down before putting the controller back on it. Which is not a big deal, but isn't as slick….

Let's try this again.... it charges the controller via the accessory port (beside the mic jack) and not the micro USB slot on the top of the controller?

No, it uses the Micro USB slot. Why does this matter? Is it even possible to charge the controller via the accessory port? I wouldn't have thought so.

CM almost always sucks. It's a natural consequence of online stores having to compete with B&M. The B&M stores all have to put advertisements out for weeks to get people to come to their stores. If online stores tried to hold off their deals until Monday then people would buy all their stuff at advertised prices on Friday and then have no purchases left to make when Monday rolled around. Instead online retailers match or exceed the B&M BF deals, then there's nobody left to compete with on Monday and there are no deals as a result.

I'd guess the Cyber Monday idea got popular before everybody had both a brick and mortar and an online store. Making the company unified in that way kind of kills the point of separate sales.

I can't believe this deal is still live at Best Buy. I was able to grab a copy. Pretty sure the game won't ever get super cheap and I should be able to resell it for a decent price if necessary.

Too bad fucking Sony didn't put the Ratchet and Clank collection on cartridge or it would surely be $15 at BB right now too.

Yeah Cyber Monday is always awful. It's usually the exact same products but 10% - 30% more expensive. Freedom Wars is the first thing I've bought on Cyber Monday in a long time.

I asked because the pic on Amazon shows it only contacting the controller at the bottom. I wondered how in the hell that worked. So you are saying the pic is incorrect and the controller legs are facing up when you put it in the dock?

Going to be waiting a while, plus from what I have read steam OS is linux and games with have to be written specifically for it if games are ran native.

Also it appears that steam os boxes will mostly be remote play deals, basically same as ps4. You have your actual gaming pc in another room and stream the game to your steam box in another room. The actual gaming steam boxes will be hindered by being linux or will be dual boot and still run windows with the big picture mode (basically the same as the alpha)

I couldn't say. I have not read any comics since the 90s. Deadpool back then was more of an addition to ongoing story lines than having his own series. If I were to buy one of those, it would be the second. I never really cared much for Cable, and the second book looks to be more focused on just Deadpool.

No, I was confused. It connects exactly as shown, so I guess it is using the accessory port. I don't think about it, I just put the damn controllers on it!

It's good for what it is. The problem for me would be the i3 processor which is a bit lackluster at this point. To get an i5 or higher you will be shelling out more $$$. I think what you are really paying for here is the diminutive size of the machine. As with most of these computers, if you know how to build your own you'd probably be happier for the cost ratio. As it is though it's decent but with most machines like this it will be outdated at a quicker rate. I don't think it's worth $150 more than a PS4 even if you are getting slightly higher FPS on some games. I don't think the gain is enough in this case.

 
Is the Dragon Age Inquisition game shitty on PS4? Somebody in the old thread seemed to say it had graphical issues. Jittering or something. I don't know that I'll ever buy it, but if it sucks on PS4 then that's reason to never even consider it at any point.

 
I have the PS4 copy and its super stuttery during dialogue and scenes, the characters look really funky imo. I sold my copy yesterday in hope of the PC version being a little more stable. 

 
Anybody seen deals on this toy called Magformers? It's expensive, but it is pretty cool. Our youngest was playing with it at one of the relatives houses over the holiday and really liked it. But to get a set with hexagon pieces, which seem to add a lot, you have to spend at least $50. And the set you really want is $80 at amazon. Then theres's sets with wheels. I think my brother-in-law/sister, spent some big bucks on this building set….
