PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

DA:I's SP campaign is pretty fun, Velo. You should play it. I restarted in nightmare mode after ~10 hours or so once I had a pretty good handle on the game. It definitely requires more care, but it's not bad. I've run away a couple of times to avoid a party wipe and only got killed once when I accidentally walked into an elder dragon (1 per map--it hit my party with an area affect fireball that wiped us all in one hit.)

In casual mode I was playing a dual-wield rogue. I'd just walk up to enemies and slaughter them. Nightmare with the same approach got me killed very quickly so I'm playing a bow rogue now and just picking them apart from a distance while a couple of tank characters distract the bad guys and a mage helps blast them with spells. I'm almost as far in as I was before the restart and it's a lot more fun at this difficulty. The maps are quite large and have a nice variety of terrain and scenery and quests and such. I've not played the others so can't compare, but DA:I is worth playing IMO.

I ended up getting called into work, so won't be home til around 1115. If you can get zimm, madchemist, or bums or whoever to work on the coop missions go ahead, and I'll see if anyone's still on later.

Had 21 games played last year, 7 completed.  Thanks Destiny.  Guess I need to play more games and post more.  Going to try and complete 50 games this year.

I know $24 for goty was a steal, especially if all 3 dlcs were 15/each but i had the main game for almost a year and never touched sp so I skipped on it. Hopefully in a few years after i 100% da1/origins/da2 they will have it on sale for $5 or so like they just did da1. Iv been playing the mp and all the mp dlc is free. I keep getting smashed because they added 2 more difficulties so I am inclined to play them but im no where near leveled up enough. Iv gotten better gear in the last week than the month i had played before, so that's awesome tho

 
I was in a gamestop today and there was a kid who had to be 4 or 5 and he was waving around a stack of bills with a couple 20s in there. He picked up some stupid Pokémon card thing and his brother says not to get it because it's a waste of money. The kid responds with "It's only $20!" Where the he'll did this kid get so much money and why are his parents just letting him buy stupid shit with it?
 
I was at gamestop and this kid was buying 2 $20 games and a 1.99 game or something and his dad kept telling him he wasn't buying him another hunting game especially cuz b2g1f would be wasted on 1.99 game. the kid didn't get it at all. i hate the crazy long lines at gamestop after the holidays but i had to pick up that witcher 3 cards deal. also they had that buy 2 get 3 skylanders free so i got 10 3.99 ones.

 
They may have fixed the dupe glitch. I no longer have the sword on either of my profiles. Not sure exactly what happened. Gonna try to rebuild it.

On the flip side, it appears a second character on a local game will automatically follow you through areas. Gonna try to use this for double loot chances.

Which glitch are you referring? Even if they fixed any drop/mailing exploit you can just make a copy of your save on a flash drive, drop the gear, then copy the flash drive save back over the console one.

Profile swapping, didn't try the mailing one cause it wouldn't add my wife's profile to my mailing list. Should have asked someone here for help, and made a backup save. I have another option, but I haven't really talked to the guy since we stopped playing eso months ago. Gonna shoot him a message anyway.

Pharm gave it back. That's why I was trying to dupe it. Once I get the gem, and a bunch of greater rift stones, it shouldn't take me too long to rank it back up. Especially since I can pick what level greater rift I want to run now.
 
LA Cops is ticking me the fuck off. Max Health just means you live 0.2 seconds longer, enemies have laser-focused accuracy even on Normal, there aren't nearly enough health/revive pickups, and why in the heck aren't these cops wearing some form of body armor if they're storming buildings with 20+ armed criminals inside?

I desperately hope Hotline Miami is better than this.

I didn't grab the GOTY. If it were still available now I would, but between the poor main story, getting used to the game systems, and the comparatively dull gameplay of casual mode I had to pass. I have access to the deluxe version from GS so it would have been $24 just for three story DLCs anyway.

I just got back from The Big Short.  It was really good - really well done given the subject matter.  Theater was packed - no empty seats at all.

Hotline Miami is amazing bro but it is difficult. Part 1 is the first game I ever platted, part 2 is even tougher. The music is so fucking good. Play that shit.

I just got back from watching Star Wars TFA. I enjoyed it and look forward to Rogue One and Episode VIII. Too lazy to look up the discussions from before. That was so last year.

Went to GameStop to trade in a couple games and see what they'd give for FO4. The guy made every effort to touch the bottom side of the disc and put his fingerprints over ever spot. Asshole. Took it to BestBuy since they were offering more. I bought the digital version and didn't need the disc from the Vault Boy edition.

Took my dog to the vet this morning. She was cleared for surgery so we scheduled it for Thursday. I gotta check with my boss to see if I can take Friday off to watch her all day. I didn't know the 2 x-rays and blood tests were gonna be like $400. Really dipping into what's left of my savings after buying my car. Thank God I saved so much last year!

Hit three different brewery tap rooms today and now I'm at a club to see tribute bands for Primus, the Pixies, Jane's Addiction, and an Elvis/Alice Cooper mash-up weird thing.

Can anyone recommend a game to get me back into a gaming? I've been in a gaming funk lately because I was so busy and tired, I tried a few games but nothing was really getting me into it. I think at this point, I'd like something short lengthed to catch my interest, any genre except sports. Any system, I know you guys are PS biased for the most part though.

Thread-b*tching sort of worked--I finished all of the levels on Normal. While I'm getting the hang of things now, I hate the final part of the Casino level so much and I'm not looking forward to that on Hardcore and Nightmare.

There's difficult and then there's brutally unfair (e.g., enemies that can shoot through wall corners). LA Cops is definitely the latter. Hotline Miami is definitely on my Vita to-play list soon, as I already have it downloaded.

Is it scary like that game you guys were all playing last year. I can't remember the name but it had all that killing and I think only one of you guys platinumed it? Vig played it a lot I remember. Or is it more like the last of us "scary"?

I don't recall anything like that in HM. There are windows they shoot through, but never walls.

Is the King of the Hill trophy for Rogue glitched in a good way? I got it when I did the last totem but I only had about half of the caves done.

Yea I don't recall anything unfair in Hotline Miami. If I was able to plat it, it should definitely be doable for you without much trouble. A few of the levels were pretty tough to get an A+ in, but as long as you utilize the right masks to wear during it, you'll get them. Awesome game though! I should play hm2.
 
I'm home now, if anyone wants to red dead. Probably not Zimm though. Looking at Untapped, he's probably passed out in a snow bank somewhere.
