I didnt get to see it but supposedly during Orton's skit where the fake hogan came out there was a huge mess up. When Hogan actually came out he gave an irish whip to the fake hogan but he messed it up somehow. Since i didnt get a chance to see it, i figured id ask to see if anyone has it uploaded.

Oh god, it was a disaster. The Irish Whip took forever for the fake hogan to sell. Then he was going to do a big boot to knock fake hogan out of the ring and instead the fake hogan just kinda stood there and then fell over in the ring.

So after SD this week, assuming Khali loses, will he even be back? The (supposed) main reason that the Khali/Taker match was moved to SD from SS was because the powers that be feel Khali's matches have to be edited so heavily that he can't fight a live match.

I guess this is why the Giant Silva was always a side show attraction.

If I were scripting this I'd have brought Silva over too and had him and Khali continue to tag team. It'd have been interesting enough to watch for a tag match, plus they would've each got rest periods as they tagged out of their matches. Davairi could've still been the manager.

Remember tho.... this is WWE we are talking about here. They tend not to think logically about such things.

The same can be said about TNA too. Jarrett vs Sting at Bound For Glory? WTF?

Rant over.

Speaking of which....

Reportedly Monty Brown has verbally quit TNA. WWE bound? I think so.

I have a .GIF of it but it's huge (1.4 MBs)

Only place I could upload it was Rapidshare.

http://rapidshare.de/files/29698250/botch.gif.html

Before what the .GIF shows, Hogan was trying to Irish whip the guy but he just wouldn't bounce off of the ropes.

The whole situation was just hilarious and a total trainwreck.

- edit Damn, SvR 2007 is looking great.

I found this imagehost you can use.

http://www.freeimagehosting.net/

It says it can host files up to 2.5MB.

I'd upload it myself, but for some reason I am getting errors when I try to save that gif from rapidshare.

*EDIT*

I went into my Firefox cache and found it.

http://img3.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/d181faef15.gifI'm still working on it...

Thanks for posting that bro, i appreicate it! god that is greater than i could have ever imagined!

All righty. I found myfilestash.com and this should work. Just click the pic to get the animation.

I hope you don't mind Sporadic. Thanks for the gif!

Nice work - it's common to hear people new to learning pro wrestling talk about how difficult it really is to run the ropes and bounce off. In this dude's case, he seems to have tripped right into them. Thanks, Guile!

I never had a problem with them when i was training. By far the most difficult thing was taking a bump right and even that didn't take long.
Didn't know you trained - tell us about it sometime.
Eh its nothing too terrible exciting or anything. Basically I would go to this certain indy fed's sunday shows everyweek when i was 16 and practically begged the promoter to give me a chance. He just ignored me but every week i'd show up again and ask him. About the 10th time or so he agreed but i had to show up super early and help set up and tear down the ring and also help around the promotion. In turn they would train me and when i was legally eligible (you need to be 17 in missouri) he would give me a shot.

A few guys working for the fed would work with me in the ring after it was set-up before the doors opened... i was taught the basics (bumps, ropes, arm drags, lockups, how to call stuff in a match, etc.) and thats about the extent of my training. On the side i would study tapes and my best friend would sit in my basement with me and let me practice moves on him. So in that aspect i trained myself. Practically everyday i'd take bumps on my living room floor (which was a lot harder than the ring, but in the long run really helped me)

When i turned 17, i asked when i was going to get my chance and they told me if i passed the state physical i could apply for my wrestling license. I passed and was put in a battle royal. Then i was put into a tag team since i was so young. We had an ok run but I couldn't get over with the fans due toi how young i looked. I would basiclaly go out there and just sell my ass off and maybe get a little offense in before taking the loss.

After about a year the fed ended up folding and i was picked up by two other Missouri indy's. This time i went under a mask. Thats when i really had a blast, I had a lot of the vetern guys show me more and more stuff. I also got a relaly nice push during this point. A lot of people in the back were telling me how well i was doing and it was kinda cool having kids come up and ask for my autograph. I wrestled in the two feds for about another year and i was in my second year of college. I couldnt juggle 21 credit hours, a fulltime job and wrestling so i had to give it up.

I still get emails and phone calls from some of the guys i used to wrestle with asking if i want to come back. Lately i've been thinking about taking it back up, but i don't know. When i was wrestling back then i had saved up a bunch of cash to go to a real wrestling school and get full on training but college seemed like a better career decision.

I'm sure i have some of my matches on tape somewhere, i should upload them and let you guys check them out.

Oh and couple side notes:
- One of the coolest things about training was for the first couple sessions one of the wrestlers training me was Ace Steel.
- Also the card where i wrestled my first match (the battle royal) Mabel (visceria) was in the main event.
- Harley Race was at a card i was working at and after my match Race came up to me, put his hand on my shoulder and said "you sure can sell your ass off kid"
- When you break into the business theres a ritual where someone holds your arms and everyone comes up and gives you about 5 to 10 chops. After this my chest was black and blue for a couple weeks. I have pictures of it somewhere as well.
- I worked one show in Chicago (i was a fill in for another wrestler) for Kamala Jr. (Kamala's Son)
- I also worked a match with Delirious

I used to use a Pinnacle Linx cable to tranfer. That's how I made gifs for the wrestling thread in the past. Unfortunately the version I have doesn't work on XP, but maybe they have a compatible version out.

Ouch, looks like the Masterpiece gimmick is dead.

Wheres that pic from (and is it recent?) Kinda wierd that even if it was a WWE developmental fed that they'd have really old posters for WWE PPV's in them.

Lookit how fucking tiny he is! His arms, his neck and collar, his chest - his tights look three sizes too large! I thought he was Nunzio at first!

Homeboy's whole career was built around anabolic steroid use. I predict a release before Survivor Series, with zero tv appearances between now and then. Can't say I'm upset to see him go, seeing as how he fucking sucks.
http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/pictures/c/chrismasters/02.jpg

That's not the same guy!!!

Jesus, oh well, too bad for Masters. Maybe he'll end up like Rene Dupree now, as he seems to look totally different now that he's off the juice.

Dupree's gallery on OWW is great: http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/gallery/r/renedupree.html
Dupree looks like a male model now. They need to have Rick Martel as his manager and try to bring back Arrogance.

I just hope he keeps that little dance (the French Tickler or whatever it was called). That cracked me up everytime I saw it.

That can't be Masters. It looks more like Rob Conway. I still can't believe it's him.

A considerably deflated-looking Chris Masters challenged anyone in the
house to the Masterlock challenge. Brent Albright responded, then
Masters hit him in the head with the mic, allowing Masters to apply
the Masterlock and put Albright out.

Boogeyman was also on the card.
I know I don't post a whole lot anymore in here, but I second the Trish one, if solely for her selling of that spear. I'm still amazed by how well she sold that.
Need a video to back this up if your gonna keep mentioning it
WTF!!! CHRIS MASTERS??????

damn this fucking sux

So jeff's going to raw? no hardy boyz team then?

is monty really having a prob with tna?
Monty is probably reacting to the same problem that plagues all of TNA:

There are two tiers in the upper card:
1) The person feuding with Jeff Jarrett over the title
2) The person moving into the upper card/moving out of the lower card who's feuding with Abyss.

3-4 weeks ago, Ron Killings was seemingly getting a push as he had an angle with LAX about how minorities never get a break in TNA (and then they beat him down when he walked away from their offer to join them). That's typical TNA: set up a push and then drop it in two weeks. It's like getting a blow job and having your partner walk away before you come, it's so fucking frustrating. Even, I might argue, Rhino is getting a little more diminished in his role; his promos the past month have benefitted him immensely, but what's he doing now? He's still present, but the attention on him isn't that great.

At least they're using Steiner correctly, as a peripheral upper-card guy who's not directly involved in the main event scene (like Kane, as I compared the two a few weeks back). Part of the problem TNA has is their time format (and the self-fulfilling prophecy of people not watching a wrestling show from 11PM-midnight; I can guarantee you that moving it to 10-11PM would make it immediately jump half to two-thirds a ratings point (which would damn near double the audience).

An hour is very limiting to them, and their bookers don't seem to realize that having 10-minute interview segments on a show in which they have 44 minutes of on-air programming is killing what they need to do. I honestly wouldn't let an interview segment go over 2-3 minutes on their show; many of you know from speech classes in high school and college that you can say a LOT in 3 minutes. Shortening the segments would also pick up the pace of the show, and make it feel more like a "60-minute adrenaline rush." I'd also speed up entrances; I know they wanna have a professional "we're in the same league as WWE" format, but they waste, easily 10% of their on-air programming each week in entrances. Cut them down by 15-20 seconds each, and you suddenly find another 2-3 minutes of programming to use.

Anyway, so they don't have much TV time to work with. That's half the problem. One thing we can (much to our chagrin!) give the WWE credit for is that they stick with something that stinks. If they push Haywood Jablomie, and the crowd shits on it, they'll keep trying. God KNOWS how often we (coughmikeknoxcough) see that. Spirit Squad, Test, John fucking Cena, Chris Masters, and countless others. Sometimes it doesn't work for the WWE, and they drop it quickly (Kane doppelganger angle), but at least there was a known end to that storyline (even if it was rushed and sucked, it was an ending). Sometimes it really works for the WWE (the Spirit Squad worked at times, I think it debatable but Chris Masters got over for a while, and John Cena is one of the most debatable of all time - but he HAS our attention, which, good or bad, is what they want).

TNA just needs to follow through. Too often they have given their fans a case of the blue balls - if you're watching and get excited to see Ron Killings get some comeuppance, well, guess what? He never got back at LAX. If you want to see Rhino feud over the belt, you're outta luck there. And, in the most empathizable example, Samoa fucking Joe, man. Some internet reviewer of the PPV where Sting won the four-way for the title shot said "Joe not winning this match is akin to the WWF not pushing Steve Austin in 1996." That dude was exactly right; many of us want to see Joe as the champ, they want to see the "undefeated" Samoan Submission Machine tear through the upper card and carry that belt - when he dropped the X-Division title, it was only a matter of weeks until he was the world champ, right? So, why is he in a holding pattern with Monty fucking Brown right now? That kind of stuff turns the fans off. That's why their ratings are diminishing the way they are. That's why 7 people out of every thousand watching TV at 11PM are watching TNA, and why 40 out of every thousand watch Raw on Mondays (not to be condescending, but that's how ratings "shares" are interpreted, as a percentage).

Anyway, I just had a long meeting with our department budgeter, so I lost track of my tangent. Good thing, as this was getting tedious.

ok well i was reading a kevin nash interview at nzpwi.. heres a quote from it.. kinda confirms mk3 movie casting which is bad ass..

lol i can imagine nash as motaro with horns

Do you plan on expanding your film career further, and is there anyone you’d really like to work with in movies?
Well… I’d love to work with Ferell, I’d love to do comedies. If I had my way I’d like to do comedies, but… there’s a couple of projects that are coming up in August. I talked to my agent, and he said there’s Mortal Kombat 3, in casting… the thing with me is it’s still hard, because you walk into a room, you’re still so big, they just go “wow”, so it is hard to get roles besides being the big guy, but with all the comic book type roles that are out there now, I have a chance to get those roles.

I am pretty sure they did do a little something with Ron Killings and LAX. If I remember correctly both Sonjay Dutt and Ron Killings teamed up for a match aganist them on global impact or xplosion (not much, but at least something).

He was in the main event aganist Joe last night and it was a pretty good TV match (he lost, but it was nice to see him serious and with his mind on trying to beat Joe).

You're right, but it's just so fucking week-to-week whether or not The Truth is taken credibly that I don't believe it on the weeks that he's supposed to be a credible threat.

You know myke I totally agree with your long winded post a few above. TNA right now really needs to fix these issues before they really can even come close to being a threat to the WWE. I also feel that unless TNA suddenly has Jarrett drop the belt before Bound For Glory that they are going to piss off Detroit so much as a market that they won't be able to go back for a LONG TIME if they go through with Jarrett vs Sting as the main event for Bound For Glory. Hell I'm pissed already at the mere THOUGHT of it. Sorry, but I was really looking forward to see Jarrett vs Joe as the Bound For Glory main event. Oh well... can't have your cake and eat it too all the time right?

Looking forward to the next few weeks of Impact regardless.... especially given that...

Raven finally does something other than stand around in the crowd.

$35 for three TNA two-discs DVDS: The Best of AJ Styles, the Best of Raven, and the Best of Jeff Hardy. Under $6/disc, so not a bad deal at all!
Its a bummer I already own the two I care about (Styles and Raven). That's a good deal regardless even with that Jeff Hardy one in the mix. I suspect that TNA will sooner or later try and sell off the Hardy one on its own..... then again this is the same TNA that still to this day is trying to pawn off those D'Lo Brown bobbleheads from 2003.

That's a good deal right there. There's also a new triple pack of PPV DVDs, but it's apparently Futureshop-only for the time being. I wish that Raven/Hardy/Styles pack was a brick and mortar store deal, too - it'd be much more convenient than waiting on the items to arrive in the mail.

man im getting sick of comcast

They are refusing to add everything to 24/7 yet i have to still pay full price

should be 3 PPVS in the big ones and they refuse to download the 3rd one (saying its taking up too much VOD space) or some other bs)

At least they told you why which is right now they don't have the space to store every single thing WWE 24/7 is offering.

And yes you have a right to bitch. Doesn't mean that we should give two fucks about your pathetic excuse of a life either.
Ron "The Truth" Killings has also verbally told TNA that he is leaving the company. How tragic.
Think he'll head back to WWE?

TNA dosen't have the names locked up like WWE does, correct? So technically, Monty Brown and Ron "The Truth" Killings can head on over to WWE with the same names?

Nonsense, he'd have to bring back that great "K-Kwik" nickname.

Summerslam... the last time Batista and Cena were both the challengers for the belt, they both won, I see a repeat of that tonight. Big Show retains, Flair and Foley both supposedly want to lose this match for political reasons (and I'd assume to then win the final blow off match between them) I see Foley winning tonight, Orton wins, DX continues to roll, and Chavo beats Rey, as this fued goes nowhere if Rey wins the first match.
