Boy, nothing makes a horse happy like spending $20 on a new keyboard after spilling water all over his old one. :(
Yeah, I don't have it so bad, it was just a bit difficult for a while. Mostly because the shit she was going through had nothing to do with me.

Oh, and by the way ... as of this afternoon it's been 8 weeks since we last had sex.
Sounds to me like you guys probably need to communicate more. Even if girls pretend to be offended by you wanting to know so much, they like it better when you show an interest in what she does rather than doing the exact opposite, which discourages them from telling you the truth about things later.

With that just try and ask her if there's anything she wants to talk about on her mind, etc etc, and try and comfort her.

As for the sex thing, well... since she's had those issues lately, that's probably the main problem. But if things are back to normal, make sure to have a talk with her about how happy you are that things are back to normal, and express concern about her for when this happens again to let you know because you care, etc. etc. It will happen, just don't be too pushy/forceful about it.
I already did, once. ;)

The aftermath caused a reinforcement of the Raging Bull "fuck 'em and forget 'em" mentality.

Really, for a long time, all I wanted was a girlfriend. Now, it's among the last things I want.
The way I see it... you weren't really in love if one of you was so willing to break it off. It's not JUST about the feelings, it's about the dedication you have to each other, willing to work out even the roughest patches and make up for things. Most of the time, misunderstandings occur, which might cause the end of a relationship. Both of you need to establish open communication in a relationship and have trust for each other, no matter how bad your paranoia gets, and weather through the bad parts.

Hmm, somehow, I have to study for my math midterm, when in one hour I go to my physics class, and immediately afterwards I need to go to Seattle to see Leftover Crack. Tomorrow morning is going to be interesting.

Oh, none of that was a problem DZ. But I really don't want to get into it any farther. Thanks though.
Er. Why?
What, you think it was my idea? I just agreed to it.

Right... but I broke off with her because she cheated on me, and left me for the same guy. ;)

Don't worry. When you give up on relationships, someone will most likely come along and try to change your mind. I should know. ;)

It is really frustrating, though. But to be fair, there are just as many assholish and selfish guys as there are extremely unstable girls.

No offense DZ, and I know this phrase is a little tired but you're only 17, you've got a lot to learn about relationships. Relationships in high school are drastically different than ones after high school.

Also, when I say "fuck women" I don't mean all women. Its pretty far from a blanket statement about the opposite gender, it centers more around women with relation to dating.

It's alright, though. I didn't actually love her, and, although she was "hot", I wasn't much sexually attracted to her. (None too big on tall blondes, myself.) It's hard to explain, but it was just a mess.

For all I know, you could be right. 3/4 of the women are probably willing to skank themselves out on the first date, which is probably why men treat them so much like sex tools. I guess since I have any sort of self-respect that I'd like to think everyone else does, too.

I wasn't even talking about sex, that's a whole 'nother issue altogether...

It's only after both men and women get their heart broken and become damaged goods so many times that they will realize that they've been making the same mistakes over and over again... and that possibly they gave up on the greatest thing that they could have had.

Right, but I know enough about relationships that when you get older, most of the "intimacy" focuses on sex, and how easy you are (big plus for horny guys), which is all that a lot of guys seem to care about. It's not like they focus on how hot a girl is and take her out for coffee in order to find out how pure their soul is. Because, if you had respect for that women, you wouldn't be throwing around the word "hot" so much, which implies that you want to have sex with her, there are a million other adjectives you can use, try... beautiful.

I dunno, I'd disagree. One of the best looking women I've ever dated (the stripper, you weren't around for it but some of the other OTTers know about it), I actually passed up having sex with early in the relationship because I wanted things to actually work and not just be based on sex. That relationship ended up being a disaster and we never even slept together nor was it ever even brought up aside from the one time.

Key word there ;)
But seriously, wait it out a while before you say something as incriminating as "fuck women." You could meet the love of your life tomorrow, and regret every bad thing you ever said about women.

Oh but, the "fuck women" thing would still apply to most of my exes at that point though

I think "fuck bitches" would be better. At least you're specifying, then.

Okay, fine, I won't say anymore. I shouldn't have been expecting any more from any of you. I guess you'll understand if you ever ACTUALLY fall in love: Meaning, not just using women for cooking, cleaning, or sex.

And well, my gf and I were friends for almost 4 months before we got together. In fact she was/is my best friend. And, well, it's obviously not about sex.

The only women I've ever loved are the ones I never dated, they never had the opportunity to make me not love them by pissing me off.

Just wanted to make my backing for DZ. (Do you prefer DZ, DeadZone, other?)

You guys are counting her out somewhat because she's young, but otherwise because she may not be saying what you all want to hear. And, yes, I know some of you are just kidding/teasing her. But from what I've read (sorry I missed out on actually being in the conversation), she's given some pretty sound advice, and said some really intelligent things. Not that I expected anything less, but you guys are counting her out when she has some really valid points.

I think anyone who has said otherwise needs to go back and read her posts in this OTT from an objective point of view.

Then again, I've never used a woman for cooking, cleaning or sex, so I guess I'm either way from the "normal" the comment was aimed for, or "normal" is massively fucked up.

I've never used women for cooking, cleaning or sex either. I use my manslaves for that, they do a much better job at all three.

We just haven't been horribly fucked over by women recently.

Oh, and just so you ladies know, just like you have, "I hate all boys," days, guys have, "fuck women," days. Yes we know that not all women suck, but it's easier to lump the hate to everyone than to take the energy to specify. It's not to be taken personally (unless you were the one who dumped, pissed off, irritated, etc.). :)

That's one of the problems with the world as it is. Some people are simply dismissed, discounted, or looked down upon because of whatever factors... be it that they are young, or they grew up differently, or they believe something differently... you name it.

Good, sound advice is good, sound advice no matter who it comes from. Unfortunately, some people will miss out on something good just because they look down upon the person it came from, for whatever reason.

You don't have to be old and know everything in the world to be correct or to know what you are talking about, after all.

Oh, GWG, thanks for the attempted support, but I just realized how fucking hopeless it is for me to try and give any advice about relationships to them. Even though I most likely know more than half of these people in this topic about how to deal with relationship problems, since I go through them almost every day, and how to deal with them, apparently my age is all that matters, since they're so damn jaded about every relationship that they've experienced and didn't go their way, they can't open their minds to that possibility. But personally, I'm not going to take offense if they don't take my advice, because at least I can say that I tried. This should be blatantly obvious, but if you treat women based on purely the things they do for you, instead of the emotional aspect of the relationship, it will NEVER WORK OUT. No one likes to feel used, and the whole sexism thing is just tired as fuck.

I'm just really, really glad that I met an exception, or else I'd probably be just as bitter and jaded about guys as some of you are towards women.

Oh yeah: And you can call me whatever one you like, or even go so far as to use Sarah ;)

Actually, I have been fucked over by women in the past, though not for a goodly while. And even then, it didn't put me into the "fuck women" mindset. No point to that, just makes for bad generalizations.

fuck, I'm not reading all that.

In my own little fantasy world: FFXII in 6 hours?

Man I can't believe it's finally here... Been waiting for 5 years and it's now within reach.

Ironically enough, I tend to have better conversations with a few people that I know outside of my school that I talk to in my 20's than my peers, because they actually see me for who I am, not the fucking number attached.

I had a friend who would say daily how women are all evil. And he'd make sure that everyone was aware he meant every woman, no exception.
I forget why I even considered him a friend... I think it was pity for someone who was such a pessimist.

fuck women. I've yet to find one that didn't end up being a golddigging and/or self-centered hoe.

I know that I will eventually find the one for me, but it ain't happen yet.

Until then, fuck hoez.

Yeah, sometimes even my friends tend to look down on me for various reasons. All I can say is... I try to help them the best I can. If they choose to discount my advice for whatever reasons, it's their loss.
