I just saw this at a B&M. Would've picked one up but I already have two first party controllers and can't imagine what I could use this for but I figured some of you might be interested.

Does anyone have access to a black controller? Willing to pay for it + shipping + some extra. Please PM me! Thanks!

Also willing to trade. I picked up lots of guides today (will update my list later), including Ninja Gaiden and Mario and Luigi.

Had to jump on this, besides my dual shock all I have is the stormchaser by interact and that thing is a huge POS, hopefully the Retrocon is at least better then that.
dam i want one of these but theres no best buy in hawaii..
I bought a Retrocon, but dam, I'd rather be in Hawaii. :D

I picked one up today, haven't tried it out yet though. I probably should have held off on it since I already have 2 standard controllers and a new logitech wireless. Eh, such is life.

i snagged a black one. my best buy had all 3 black, blue and silver. (new orleans) Thanx OP! im in the same boat as sblymnlcrymnl, but ive been wanting one for hella long, the price was too right. ^_^

I went today and didn't see any, but I was late for work, so I just grabbed Shaman King for GBA was on my way.

From what I saw my bb only had silver. I probably would have grabbed a blue one if available.

their are at least four different styles

silver/silver
silver/grey
silver/blue
black/silver

i was lucky enough to get each one of those....though i havent had a chance to use one of them yet....my gf did and liked it....i liked the fit, though a little small...and i love how they light up....i might have to pick up another silver/black and black/silver one if they're any left

thanks for the post! picked up 4, didn't realize there were a couple diffrent styles on it, one being all silver edged with gunmetal face, the other being black rimmed til i got them home

Got 3 yesterday. Two in Black/Gray and one Gray/Blue.

My wife tried one out yesterday and loved it. Pretty cool looking too.

Thanks for the post!

I weep for you. :( You "threw away" $5 on a new controller that you didn't "need." Where will the waste end? :D

Be sure to tell me is you have one of these and are using it on a thin PStwo...let me know if both buttons at once work correctly. As per my earlier post, both my retrocon and my microcon do not work properly on my PStwo. If you hit 2 buttons at once you get them each press in succession instead.

all 4 work perfectly fine on mine

Are you absolutely sure? Are you trying it on a game where you need both buttons at once? Because it took us a while to figure it out. They appear to work fine but two buttons at once does not work (at least on Tekken Tag - I guess I should test some other games as well).

used it with the street fighter aniversy collection- and guilty gear isuka. also just finished up a couple rounds on killzone and worked fine with everything

I ended up getting the last black and blue colored controllers. I am keeping the black one for myself and giving the blue one to a friend. Thanks for the deal OP.

I picked up two Silver last night while I was buying MVP 2005. Just couldn't pass them up for $5. With all the gift cards I had, it was only $3 out of pocket for all.

I bought another one for $5. Even if they aren't working right on my pstwo they are still awesome, and good for my PSone or maybe eventually with an adapter for emulation purposes.

I went today to my BB finally and found a couple. I got the blue one and the grey/silver one. I left two for any other CAGs if they want. I really like them. this bring smy controller tally to 3 first party Sony controllers (one that has partially crapped out) .

Yeah I got two yesterday, gray color. With the lights out the controller looks great with its cool lights. I want to score a black colored one if I can but both stores in my area don't have them.

Picked mine up yesterday (light gray) and played with it for an hour or so. So far it is holding up really well and looks fricking awesome with the lights off. The feel is comfortable, the sticks reasonably responsive, and the overall sturdiness is good. For $5 this was a steal!
^ they work good on my xbox to ps2 adaptor. The one for the Dreamcast to Ps2 didn't work
where did you pick up the "ps2 controller to xbox system" adaptor?

Picked up a black one at my BB today (it was the last black one) and it is friggin awesome, especially for $5. Thanks for letting us know about this deal OP.

Yes, I must say that this is one of the best 3rd party controllers you can buy. This is a great deal that belongs on the front page.

Went again yesterday and picked up a couple more for some even better multiplayer action. Now I think I have one of every color and they're damn cool. Thanks again OP for letting us in on this one.

In case your wondering, it seemed like they had restocked them since when I came I saw there about 5 or so of them.

my best buy still has a good 20-30 of these....im not sure why they're not attracting any buyers out here....usually this kind of thing would be sold out within hours near me...

I was able to get the last one at the Dearborn, Michigan location because when I had the employee scan the code to find out if they had anymore he stated that it didn't even show up in the system anymore.

The only thing that I dislike about it is that it is so small because I have big hands. I didn't really like playing with the NES controller either. This will be used though because my girlfriend and the little kids in my family will like playing with it because of the small size.

The L/R 1/2 buttons give me a bit of trouble. Otherwise, it was more solid than I originally thought! Great deal for $5.

to me, the analog controller looks cheap.. but that's just me

i dare not to play katamari with this controller
i dare not to play katamari with this controller
that's the first thing i did after i bought the controller. it did pretty well, too.

if my hands were smaller i'd use the controller a lot.

I love this controller, but I can't see myself ever actually using it. Nice for display, though. Especially since I got the cool looking black one. :)

I love this controller, was pleasantly suprised at how it glowed in the dark... had to pick up 2 of them

Other than the shoulder buttons (didnt like the side by side aspect, but what else could they do) this is a well designed controller
I picked two up earlier today.. :D
I know you asked earlier about where I picked up mine (I was cleaning up my computer from that nasty hack from yesterday), but if you still wondering I picked up my first two at the BB on Rainbow and the second pair from the store on Maryland. Where did you pick up yours?

I picked up one at Best Buy today and the cashier asked if I wanted to buy the protection plan with it.

I asked how much, and she said ,"7.99"

I told her, "Do you really expect me to pay eight dollars to protect a five dollar controller", and she said, "Yeah, cause it's like for two years. It's a really good deal."

Kids these days!

I went to my nearby Best Buy last night and bought a silver one. Plenty of silver and blue controllers in stock. I've tried it out a little bit - at first with some retro compilations like Namco Museum (Ms. Pac Man, Pole Position) and Midway Arcade Treasures (Marble Madness, Paperboy), and then with GTA: San Andreas. It didn't take me too long to get used to the placement of the shoulder buttons of the smaller analog sticks. Even played well with San Andreas. And it looks awesome with all the buttons lit up.

There are a couple drawbacks though - it felt a little too small for my hands, which was kinda odd considering that an SNES controller is about the same size and I've never had any problems with that. Also, the vibration is weak.

Overall though, it's a nice controller and I like it. It's well worth the $4.99 I spent. It won't completely replace the Dual Shock 2 as my main controller or anything, but I'll use it from time to time with certain games. I'm even thinking about going back to Best Buy and getting another one.

Thanks OP! :)

I didn't know there was any vibration included in the controller O_O
